I just loved this book! It was a compilation of ideas on how to be patient in the waiting, substantiated with some great bible verses to help solidify the ideas presented. Each chapter came together perfectly! It would be very easy to sit down and devour each chapter, but I feel as if it was much more effective taking this book chapter by chapter and thinking on each before moving along. I enjoyed this book so much I purchased a copy for a friend before I was even finished!! Very uplifting and much needed in these uncertain times!

One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is long-suffering and LOVE ME IN THE WAITING is just the book to help develop that fruit. We constantly find ourselves in a waiting mode and it seems so unstable when you are patiently waiting on an answer or breakthrough from God. Krystal Ribble has written a great book that is inspiring and eye opening.

This book will encourage you to trust, have faith and wait on a God who is reliable, loving and willing.

In life, we all go through seasons of waiting. In this book, the author covers different seasons and lessons that we can glean as we look up to God through our seasons of waiting. Whether you are waiting for a storm to pass (tough seasons in life), waiting to find the right person to spend your life with or waiting for a prayer to be answered, the author shares reflections from the Bible to show how God is with us through each season of waiting. He has a purpose for everything.

This is an easy to follow, thought-provoking, inspiring read. Highly recommended.

"Love Me in the Waiting: Trusting God's Purpose When You're Longing for What's Next", by Krystal Ribble, is an excellent Bible study for anyone who is waiting to see what God has planned for their life. We all have periods of waiting in our lives, and Ribble encourages her readers to use that time wisely. Whether it's picking up a hobby, serving others, and strengthening our faith, we can all do something during those moments when we don't feel like we're getting any progress. I appreciated the honesty Ribble shared in her book, and it was a nice, quick read!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I always gravitate to fiction and is quite surprised to find a nonfiction interesting under the Read Now section of Netgalley.

At that time, the title of this book was calling for me and I can't help but get it. It's like the book showed up for me at the right time in my life.

It took months for me to finish this, not because it's slow or bland but I felt like reading it on my own pace will be a more exciting and relaxing experience for me.

It was a very pleasant read for me. The tone of the book is very relaxing for me. I was enlightened on a lot of things.

I love that the author delivered her points backed by bible verses and her own life experiences.

It was a great read.👍

This book is an interesting mix of Bible devotional and focused topic on waiting for things to happen, in particular, unanswered, or should I say unexplainable waiting for the best answer in prayer. When reading the comments on a Bible passage in this book it is wise to note that this is just the authors view or interpretation of what is being shown to her. It is not a right answer or the only way to interpret that passage, just one way. All in all a reader may just take one or two nuggets of wisdom and help from this book but that in istself may be all that is required to help through a difficult or frustrating time of waiting.

Beautiful and encouraging book, waiting can be hard, painful and other times we feel lost and confused. How do keep living when that situation hasn’t changed or prayer answered?. In each chapter we have different Bible characters, some may be known and others are unexpected, and how have can live through a different type of waiting and she gave different practical bits of advice for those seasons. I like her writing style and her honesty.

While reading a was surprise more than once, this book may be short, but it contains something we easily lost while we are waiting. A word of hope and the reminder that we are not alone, this season should pass and it all comes to God’s perfect timing.

If you have been long waiting and feel tired, discouraged, and maybe sad. This book can give be a blessing for you.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free digital copy for review, all opinions are my own.

This was a light and easy to read, almost devotional style book, with many references to the author's own experiences balanced with reflections on Bible stories. While some of her interpretations of the biblical text were somewhat questionable, overall this book has a positive message that could help people struggling with unanswered prayer. Sometimes, however, her solutions felt a little simplistic - have faith and everything will be alright in the end - and crept a little close to prosperity gospel messages for my liking. I don't doubt that the author has been through some difficult situations, but I wanted to see more of her struggle, more understanding of the struggles of the biblical characters, and less of the 'out the other side' positivity. If I wanted to lend someone a book if they were struggling with unanswered prayer, this probably wouldn't be my first choice. Overall, it wasn't a bad book, and I'm sure some people will find it helpful.

I absolutely loved Love Me in the Waiting by Krystal Ribble! This is the first book I've read of Ms. Ribble and it won't be my last! Ms. Ribble looks at waiting from the Biblical prospective and looks at different types of waiting. Each chapter looks at a different type of waiting and uses a story in the Bible to help illustrate what the author is talking about. As one who seems to have long waiting periods in her life, this book really ministered to me and encouraged me in the waiting. I used this book as part of my devotion. I highly recommend this book to others! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! (This review is also on GoodReads.)

While times of waiting are in reality times of activity themselves they can nonetheless seem like the hardest times. If you've ever struggled to wait, struggled with apparently unanswered prayer or apparent divine 'silence' then you will gain from reading this book. Read through or dip into from time to time and learn from both biblical examples and the author's own life experience.

I never know what to say in reviews for devotional books but I've noticed that my favorites always have a centered topic of discussion, which occurs in this case.
This book was incredible. As each chapter looks upon different aspects of our waiting periods, it provides examples from the Bible and the author's life as well, resulting in a very complete and diverse reflection about the theme. I definitely took valuable lessons from this and I would recommend it!

I was interested in this book because there are seasons of waiting in our lives and we are sometimes at a loss of knowing what to do.
This book was well penned and it was an easy, understandable read.
We can learn to wait well in the seasons of waiting instead of rushing ahead.
Trusting God in the waiting.

This is a book I feel if I had it in paper form I probably would ha e highlighted every single sentence. So basically I would have highlighted the entire book. This was just the encouragement I needed as a 39 year old single person waiting, waiting and yes still waiting for marriage. Thank you. 💗

Love Me in the Waiting is a beautiful book by an author who knows all about waiting for an eternity: she was unable to conceive and adopted children. Her wisdom and experience is distilled in these pages to teach the reader about how to patiently pray and have faith even when it feels like God is taking too long to answer our prayers (or maybe it seems he isn't answering them at all).

The most important feature of this book is the focus on identifying how God is present in every situation, even during the wait when it almost feels as though He is absent, the Lord is carefully orchestrating each scenario for our own benefit.

Wish I could give more stars. Wonderful book that my family needs right now. Such good wisdom.

Thanks to author, publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

Whatever season of waiting you're in, Krystal Ribble offers comfort from a Christian perspective in Love Me in the Waiting Trusting God's Purpose When You're Longing for What's Next. Stand firm in your faith like Noah. God is with you, protects you, even during tumultuous times. Be patient like Abraham and Joseph. Yes, it may take years to see your prayers answered, but God has heard these. Be faithful like Jacob and Moses whatever the activities you perform as if you do these for the Lord. Be courageous like David and Daniel. Giants will fall by the hand of God and earthly kings will acknowledge the power and sovereignty of the one and true King in heaven. Be prayerful like Job and Habbakuk. Be in constant communion with God, despite difficulties, sorrow, and suffering. Mary and Martha saw Jesus Christ wake up their friend Lazarus. God is present and active.

Krystal weaves personal stories about her barren womb, adoption children as illustrations of waiting periods, recognizes that in hindsight these times were always purposeful. Quotes from other authors and songwriters function as chapter teasers. Love Me in the Waiting challenges you to turn your eyes upon Jesus and remind yourself of the truth that fulfilled prayers are worth way more than dreams come true.

I am reviewing a copy of Love Me in the Waiting through Dexterity and Netgalley:

In Love Me In Waiting we are reminded that in the middle of a trial or storm, we seldom think that God is positioning us for our safety. But the truth is our safety is paramount to him.

This book also points out the possibility that the storms we face, may very well be what is preserving you. It also reminds us of the possibility that the storm we are in may be suspending us in time because of who we are and the parts of us God wants to keep us safe?

In Love Me In Waiting we are reminded too that the Lord longs to give us a firm foundation of steadiness. He wants to give us an unwavering peace. He wants us to position our hearts to receive the peace that comes with his presence.

We are reminded too that only God can fulfill the meaning of your name. Only He can make a meaning come to Life.

We are reminded too that no dream is to big for God. We are reminded too that our purpose in life will be where the needs of the world, our talents and God’s we meet.

If you are looking for a book that reminds us of how God works in our waiting periods then Love Me in the Waiting is a book I highly recommend.

I give Love Me In the Waiting five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

This was an inspirational book. It helped me to look at Bible characters in a new way and to see God's repeated message of seeing Him as we wait. I know that waiting is an important part of life and would love to implement some of the suggestions in this book. There are some really useful tips in helping others as they wait.

It seems as if this book was written just for me because I have often wondered why I had to wait so long for my promises, but after reading how others had to wait and how their waiting helped them grow and mature, helped change my perspective. Waiting isn't easy or fun but God offers his loving hand to guide us as we wait for his will to be done in our lives.
