Not your usual zombie or walking dead thriller, we meet two characters who just might be able to save the world around them if they can shake off the theory that this is just another piece of the same old story.

Did not finish at 22%. I like zombie stories so this appealed to me, but it was kind of confusing and I kept getting lost. It had promise but the style just did not work for me.

DNF'd this book as it just didn't grab me - gave it about 50 pages and I just didn't feel inspired to keep going.

Having somehow missed NetGalley's 55-day reading period for Javier Combnsky's All the Tommys in the World,, this reviewer took the trouble of tracking down an electronic copy of the book and reading it, in order to provide an honest and unbiased review. Alas, now it feels like a waste of money and time.

The author appears to have the full intention to write a fascinating zombie thriller, but is let down by a lack of writing experience and editorial guidance. The plot has its potential, but the execution is poor, leaving an impression that the author struggles to create coherent, believable characters to sustain the story. The dialogues are confusing, the pacing unsteady. There is no attempt at world-building, the actions weak and lack of convincing details.

With that said, to "keep a list in the back of his mind about all the things he wanted to happen, but didn't", is a good start. We all love everything horror and zombies, and it is vital that the author does not give up his dream of one day writing a fascinating zombie thriller novel. While consuming horror novels and films, it helps to pay attention to the techniques in developing plots and characters., building convincing worlds supported by sufficient, realistic details, and using d variety of literary techniques to enrich the story. A good story requires good storytelling to sustain it. Good luck.

Was confusing from the very start , and even when I went back to re read parts of it that I already read I still didn't understand what was going on.

Horror YouTubers Lilith and Nate meet a real zombie uprising! We are plunged right into the zombie apocalypse which is great! The only thing is it felt a bit confusing at times. I still recommend though for zombie horror fans!

Unfortunately, this book was highly confusing and too complicated. I didn’t finish it because I was so bored and just couldn’t get into it. I don’t recommend it.

I love zombies, I love a thriller, but this just didn’t entirely make sense.

It's always interesting to see how zombies are handled in media. Unfortunately, in this case, it was not done extraordinarily well. I was completely baffled for most of the book and couldn't fully follow what was happening.

The blurb sounded amazing. But the actual execution didn’t live up to it. I couldn’t connect with the characters and the storyline wasn’t engaging.

I was interested in this because zombies, duh, but this is not your normal zombie story. Pretty much right from the get go its weird. Not at all what I was expecting and I tried to keep an open mind but it was just too strange. I really wanted to like it more than I did.

Unfortunately, this book really didn’t work for me. I could not get invested in any of the characters or the events. The premise sounds amazing and I love apocalypse books, but not every book is for every reader.

I wanted to love this book but I just couldn’t engage with it. It was a little too confusing for me. I’m sure others will love it.
Many thanks to Pigfarm Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Creepy cover, intriguing premise, lots of hype….total disappointment. Rambling and convoluted, the plot just never came together. The dialogue was painfully awkward and there were so many many details (given seemingly great importance) that went nowhere. Plot holes, inconsistencies, gratuitous gore…I could go on. Major editing/rewriting could possibly turn this into something worth reading, but not as it currently stands.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review a copy of All the Tommys in the World by Javier Gombinsky.

This book gave me chills and is an excellent zombie thriller book. I'm not a huge horror fan and this is stepping out of my comfort zone and I am glad that I did.

4 out of 5 stars.

Lilith and Nate find themselves in a real-life horror movie of a zombie apocalypse, with secrets leading back to their hometown built around a cemetery, where Nate lived with his graveyard keeper father. After they get separated, they must figure out the secret and find their way back to each other. I was fortunate to receive this fascinating story from the publisher Pigfarm Press through NetGalley.

Absolutely adored elements of this - the town of Leatelranch was a particular delight. Overall though, it felt much too long, and perhaps would have been better served split into a few books - there's a huge amount of world-building and imagination here, and I'd love to have seen it explored across a duology or trilogy.

Unfortunately, this book didn't quite resonate with me. I think it just wasn't my thing, or maybe I'm just too old for it. I didn't finish it.

I've never read a zombie book before Javier Gombinsky, so I was a bit hesitant at first, but this story did not disappoint! The writing is very gripping and engaging; the action was intense and described vividly. Combined with exciting characters, this book is hard to put down and super fast-paced! I would recommend this story to anyone who appreciates a horror-filled, intense story that draws you in from the first page.
