I am an avid reader of the zombie genre and this is one of the most original zombie stories I’ve ever read. The premise was completely new and it was a well written fast paced read. I really got involved with the characters and couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out what happened. The title doesn’t make 100% sense after reading the book and may mislead the average person looking at the cover. But otherwise it was a great read!

I was happy to get All the Tommy’s in the World by Javier Gombinsky and really liked the idea of this book, as a new twist on zombies. It was a little confusing and hard to follow, so not one of my favorites.

All the Tommys in the World

[Blurb Goes Here]

This are not your garden variety Zombies, but don't let that keep you from reading this horror adventure. I like horror. I like it a lot, but as of late, I find it hard to find scary books. I have to say that this is one of the good ones, one that will entertain you, make you wonder what's happening in each story arc, and also will scare you at various points.

I truly recommend this one for horror fans. Expect the unexpected.

Thank you for the advanced copy!

It's a zombie apocolypse, but unlike any I have previously heard of. While I was originally excited about a unique concept, unfortunately, this ends up not being a good thing.
I am all for creative story telling, and playing with the timeline in a book to keep things interesting, but All the Tommys in the World is just a confusing, messy jumble of ideas that are half-baked or just plain dumb and nonsensical. I really wanted to like this book, and forced myself to read it all the way to the end, because I just KNEW it was going to have some great ending that really pulled everything together. Spoiler Alert: It doesn't. Javier Gombinsky needs to take some writing classes to help him figure out how to write a coherent story as well as how to write likeable, realistic characters. Nothing wrong with a broody, sarcastic anti-hero, we see tons of those in both literature and film/tv, but Gombinsky just absolutely fails at creating such characters. What he created is a set of stupid, selfish, short-sighted, useless, annoying, judgemental characters that made this book even more painful to read than it would have been anyway. Gombinsky also uses the same strange phrases over and over, like "eyes swell up" to describe someone widening their eyes and "like a sizzling anthill" to describe the movements of the zombies. Just absolutely bizarre language choices that don't make sense.
Also, in an apocolypse, you want the folks that are prepared, that can shoot a gun, and that are brave and selfless on your side, right? Well, not according to Gombinsky.. He apparently thinks anyone that owns a gun or plays video games are just awful people, and are all a bunch of literal nazis, with swastika tattoos, confederate flags, and MAGA hats galore! Gombinsky literally describes the characters in the book that are willing to shoot down the zombies as a bunch of crazy psychopaths (literally) that always wanted to kill a bunch of people and were just waiting for an excuse. Um, excuse me? Wanting to defend your loved ones and shoot literal zombies in the head to keep from being killed yourself makes you a psycho? Yeah, no. I'm not a gun owner and I did not vote for Trump, but I was very much offended by this portrayal and caricature of a large group of Americans.
Seriously, this is one of the worst books I have ever had the misfortune of reading. Please do yourself a favor and skip this awful book.

This was easily the most terrifying zombie epic I've read. The gore, the suspense, the sheer terror these characters face is something I never ever want to. If you want something to read that will make you scared of things that go bump in the night or that dead things will come back to get us... pick this up.

I almost thought to not review this one and give it a pass, but ultimately I am a fan of the bizarre, the curiously plotted, and the undead. I thought this would be for me but it is not. I DNFed in Part II after another series of flashbacks.

I was super invested in the idea that the ghouls are playing the part of mindless undead to trap their prey, and the dissonant horror that comes from not just the unknown, but mistaking something that is unknown for the known. So when we get to the part where Lil's father lets his wife and daughter out in a dark, ghoul-infested street, I was /hooked/.

I was disappointed. I was hooked again. I was once again disappointed. I was hooked again. The cycle continues.

There are a lot of things I really like in this piece, but I feel like I'm expected to not be clever. I feel like I'm supposed to ooh and aww at cool revelations, but not to think about them, because I keep getting thrown new things to chew on when I feel like I'd naturally be looking for more introspection. For example: I don't think I'm being /kept guessing/ when I'm thrown a hook at a cliffhanger and that hook is simply not addressed after we spend two chapters away from that PoV character. I knew the fate of Lil's parents by the end of that chapter, and if not, I definitely knew it when her mother fended off a horde. But Lilith does not think about what her mother told her, or what she's seen, and before we get that time to breathe she has to make a hard decision. She doesn't think much about that either.

Fast-paced is one way to describe this, and I think it is because of that pace that I didn't get the time to enjoy the mystery and the puzzle while trying to decipher timelines and points of view.

A story about zombies? I'm there!

Thank you NetGalley, Pigfarm Press and Author for the chance to read and review this ebook!

Two YouTubers Hate and Lilith love movies about zombies! They are there way to escape.
But when they spot a real zombie roaming the streets they are shocked! And they know something isn't right!
Lilith was born and raised in a dead town of Leatelranch. She was raised d on zombies stories.
But was it only to keep her from.learning the real truth?
When they get outnumbered by ghouls and get split up things aren't as they seem to appear.
Its up to the two to find out what is going on here. Before people they love face something else worse than becoming a zombie!

This's SO good.
The story gripped me so hard and I did feel for the characters in the book. The dynamic is great. Suspenseful. Dark and Intense at times but also very entertaining. It caught me off guard many time!
I was intrigued from get go! The charge had me wanting more. The story was just Fab!.
Overall this was a good quick read. I really enjoyed it!

DNF 20% I wanted to give this book a fair shot but it was confusing. I was following and then all of a sudden I was like wait what did I miss? That happened way too many times in the 20% of the book I read. When I have to re read a section over and over to try to figure out what’s going on I can’t enjoy it. The premise was actually interesting to me and I think if you can follow along you will actually enjoy it. I will give this author another chance in the future if he can work out the little in his writing. Usually with DNF’s I give 1 star but because what I read of the book was really fast paced I will give 2.

Could not finish. Very confusing. Upsetting child death. Original idea is great, execution is not so great!

Lilith and Nate are hiding away watching zombie movies while the real zombie apocalypse is happening right outside their window. Lilith and Nate decide to go outside to see the zombies for themselves. In the process they get separated, and their lives completely change from that moment on. They find out that the zombies are a lot different than what they’ve seen in the movies. Lilith and Nate must find a way back to each other. Finding each other might lead them back to Leatelranch, their hometown which is built around a large cemetery, and the secrets buried there.

This was an interesting read — I keep going back and forth on how I exactly feel about it.
I had a hard time, in some parts, following the story. I found myself having to reread portions, because everything was fast paced and I was losing important details while reading. The concept at the end of the story also had me confused. I felt like up until ¾ of the book I was following the plot pretty well, but the last ¼ felt rushed and almost like it was a different story. I’m still confused on how I feel about the plot as a whole.
I enjoyed reading about the characters — Lilith, Nate, and the boys were great. I also enjoyed this concept of zombie. It’s something fresher (haha! zombies being fresh) and more unique than what I’m used to. The story was action packed — I feel like there was never a dull moment. It also kept me reading, because I wanted to figure out the mystery behind the zombies and Leatelranch.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. The story and characters kept me interested and I finished the book, even though I was confused and had to reread what was going on in some parts. The confusion is mostly why I gave this book a 3/5 stars.

I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style in this book. It starts out odd and continues like that. I did not even really like the style of zombie the writer used. This would definitely be someone's cup of tea, but it most certainly was not mine.

I requested this one because it might be a 2021 title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book is not my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one rather than push myself to finish it only to give it a poor review.

This book was quite different from anything I read before. The writing is clear and fast, there is no such thing as boring moments in it. I loved it, even if I'm not a horror or zombie fan !
