Phoebe finally snags a spot at the local farmers market to sell her hand crafted goods. She finds that a spot opened up only because an old popular farmer had died, leaving his stall available. While Phoebe feels strange taking them man’s place, she soon finds the market itself is a strange place.

When the farmer’s death is changed from suicide to murder, things get even stranger with the murder of the stall operator across from her, who happens to be the aunt of her ex boyfriend. It seems the market, if not Phoebe’s stall, is cursed when her ex is accused of murdering both the farmer and his aunt. Phoebe stands by her ex and vows to prove his innocence. The Black Sheep knitters all seem to have some different input but will they find the one clue that will help the police find the killer and clear Harry the Potter?

A super fun series that is comprised of a group of knitters of all ages. I don’t know why but this one just didn’t quite feel like previous entries. Maybe because this time Maggie and the others were a bit more restrained in their sleuthing, or maybe it was just me. Either way, it was a good read and a solid whodunit.

Stranger on a Skein by Anne Canadeo Y'all are going to love the latest from the Black Sheep & Company.  This mystery solving knitting group keeps you interested in their knitting projects, relationships, local town happenings and especially the latest murder or in this latest novel, murders.  I am always left wanting more. Thank you Net Galley.

This one makes me remember why I should do a review before I finish the book! Good thing that the publisher's blurb is so good or I'd get myself in a tangle and do a spoiler (which I think is just rude). Although I have read a couple of books in the series, it was long ago enough that I think that it can stand alone. The characters are so real and the plot is so sneaky and twisty, and don't get me started on the red herrings! I loved it!
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Thank you Netgalley for Strangers on a Skein by Anne Canadeo in exchange for an honest review. Maggie owns the Black Sheep Knitting Shop, a store where knitters can sit and knit. Her manager Phoebe, has an opportunity to sell her handmade items at a Farmer's Craft Market. A stall has opened up, as the man who had it died. There is a lot going on behind the scenes of the fair. I really miss my knitting meetings, as they have been suspended with Covid-19, keeping many of us at home. It was fun to share in Maggie's adventures.

I received an advance copy of, Strangers on a Skein, by Anne Canadeo. This is a great mystery, Phoebe is a great character. People are not always what they seem to be.

Strangers on a Skein is a fantastic addition to Black Sheep & Company Mystery series written by Anne Canadeo.
I love this fun group of ladies, they each bring their own dynamic personality to the stories.
Phoebe is at the center of a murder investigation, which leads her to question her breakup with Harry.
Maggie, Lucy, Suzanne, and Dana rally around Phoebe, who refuses to believe that Harry is responsible for any of the horrible things going on.

I love this tight knit (pun intended) group of friends, and the adorable book cover pushed this book to the top of my TBR pile.
I'm so excited to read the next book in the series.
