This book brought us two past Hannah Christmas books! As a new reader to the series I appreciated that and was excited to get to know the characters! I will be going back and starting at number one because I did truly love it!

I am late to the game! Why am I only just discovering Joanne Fluke's delightful murder mystery series now!? How many times have I picked up and admired their beautiful covers and clever titles on the library shelves? So many! This lovely book, which contains two stories, has made me realize just what I have been missing. The characters are charming, and the writing is witty, not to mention the recipes; I'm getting hungry just thinking about them. After reading this I promptly purchased the first 3 books in the series so that I can enjoy it from the beginning. Hallmark has also done a fabulous job bringing this series to life so if you haven't checked it out I highly suggest you do. A big thank you to the publisher and to Netgalley for introducing me to this delicious murder mystery series!

I enjoyed this book. It’s got 2 stories it, non-consecutive time line, but both are good. The 2nd one really tugs at your heart strings. The characters are great. #ChristmasDessertMurder #NetGalley

I love Joanne Fluke and was so happy to be approved to read this! I've already read both of the books before but it was fun to re-read them and have them combined into a Christmas combo set!

I can't wait to try out some of the recipes! I'm hoping we get a new book in the series soon!

When I selected this book, I did not realize it was two previously published titles by the author. I enjoyed the books when they were originally published, but was disappointed that this was not a new adventure for the series.

I am a huge fan of Joanne Fluke and her Hannah Swensen series. As soon as I finish any of these books, I eagerly await the next one, they cannot come fast enough for me. I was soooo excited to read this only to discover it is a compilation of Christmas books previously released. Not what I was expecting and hoping for after the her brief marriage to Ross, who was murdered and had some nasty secrets. I wanted to see how Hannah recovered and put her life back together after such a betrayal.

It was nice to revisit these books, but Hannah's current story needs to move on instead of revisiting the past. Still a much recommended series but this was a pass for me, unfortunately because I already read these books, even though I love them (and the food).

Thanks to Netgalley, Joanne Fluke and Kensington Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A nice collection of classic cozies. The earlier books in this series are top notch cozies and this is a great taste of them.

A nice entry in a long running Cozy Mystery series that has lots of recipes. Set in Lake Eden Minnesota at holiday time this is two novella.

Two fun stories in one book! These are reissues of two previous stories in a single bind up. Both stories were sweet and cozy with a mystery thrown in. I enjoyed them both. The writing was concise and well detailed. The stories were Christmas themed and sparked holiday joy while promoting an air of mystery. I liked following Hannah through Christmas as she solved mysteries and tried new recipes. The added recipes are such a bonus. I save the books for the recipes in them. What a great read!

I didn't realize that these were two that had already been published, but I always like taking a trip back to Lake Eden. A perfect Christmas compilation for anyone looking for a light Christmas read with recipes included.

This book has 2 Joanne Fluke mysteries that were previously published. It is a good compilation for readers who are new to the series. It was nice to see how Hannah has changed throughout the series.

This book was a perfect return to Lake Eden and characters who feel like family. I really enjoyed these two previously released holiday novellas, especially the Christmas Cake Murder which gives an early look into Hannah’s life and how the Cookie Jar started. This book is a perfect t holiday read for fans of the series but also is a great introduction to new readers. I am forever a fan of the series.

I have watched all of the Hallmark movies of the Hannah Swansen series and so I had high hopes for this book.
The first book, Christmas Caramel murder, was brilliant with a good balance between murder and cooking.
The second book, Christmas Cake murder, however, had a historical murder but it was until the end of the book that it was revealed to be real and not fiction within the story line. I loved learning about Hannah's origin of how she managed to get a bakery. But, I was still sad at the lack of murder.

Also, what makes this series stand out is the inclusion of the recipes at the end of the chapters. Unfortunately, I am an awful baker and would probably burn my kitchen down try them out.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Joanne Flukes books are ALWAYS a pure joy to read, honestly, and Christmas Dessert Murder is no exception. This is one of my favorites of hers and one I would buy a hard copy of to add to my collection. ~

This book is really two novellas.
Christmas Caramel Murder is the first one and Hannah’s partner Lisa is worried her husband's old flame is back in town and playing Mrs. Claus to his Santa and when Lisa goes in to see the rehearsal the kiss she plants on him looks more than just friendly.
In her years she lived at Lake Eden she made a lot of enemies and when she turns up dead in a snowbank there is no shortage of suspects including Lisa and her husband who has been lying about his whereabouts.
Hannah has a tough task in finding the murderer and in exonerating her friends. But she is up to it and she figures out the murderer who is a surprise.
Christmas Cake Murder
This book is atypical of Hannah Swensen books in that it is a prequel of sorts and while we know Hannah to be a competent businesswoman and excellent baker in this book she does not yet own “The Cookie Jar” she has come home from college after a failed love affair and is uncertain about her future. This novel establishes the beginnings of The Cookie Jar and Hanna’s career.
There is another plot as Essie Granger who ran the local hotel and was like a mother to many of the local children. She is in hospice and remembers the spectacular Christmas Cake Parade at her hotel. Hannah and her mother’s friends decide to recreate it for Essie so she can see it once again she and Hannah and the rest of the family pitch in to make it become a reality.
In the meantime, they find a story written by Essie that she says is fiction. It is a compelling story about a young woman on the run from some bad characters.
The parade is going off beautifully when suddenly…well I’ll let you discover that for yourself.
Suffice it to say that it is a good read and the back story of Hannah’s foray into the cookie business is interesting and rounds out our knowledge of her.
I thank Kensington Books and Net Galley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
