Winnie has an ex-fiance/the hots for the hot local sheriff/and his brother (another hot sheriff) has the hots for her. She also has an escaped felon stalking her and a serious case of terminal curiosity. And Grandma went with her friends to a road kill cookoff. Terrific characters and sleuthing in a plot full of twists, misdirections, and red herrings. Everything seems so real and not contrived which is a real plus. The publisher's blurb is a good hook, and spoilers won't do, so I'll just say that I absolutely LOVED it!
Can't call this an unbiased review because I also loved the last book, too, but I do think that it works as a stand alone.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

The Cider Shop Rules by Julie Anne Lindsey is a great cozy mystery.

The story starts off with the preparations of the The Fall Festival. However, soon Mr Potter is found dead and Winnie better figure out soon who the killer is before she and Pot find themselves in more danger.

It was really a delightful story and very well written. I especially liked the characters of Dot and Winnie.

Great job! Looking forward to the next instalment.
