Like many people I already heard of Andy Warhol, he’s a famous person after all.
But how he became famous and for what, was something I didn’t know. Until now.

The art is pretty simple, the book short, but all in all I think it holds all the important information you need for a basic knowledge.

In this book of the Little People Big Dreams series, we meet Andy Warhol. This book is a brief biography in simple language for children. It tells of Andy Warhol’s childhood illness and his interest in art. He took ordinary items and made extraordinary paintings from the inspiration.

As an educator, I would recommend this book for school or classroom library in elementary.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my goodness, I ADORE this cute little book about Andy Warhol!

I have to admit I know next to nothing about Andy Warhol but his signature artistic style so I can't share if the inclusion of material is enough to make this a good mini bio. This little book, however, explains enough to young children how Andy Warhol rose to fame. The writing is so engaging and fun I actually laughed out few times. The cute illustrations help to make this book a happy and enjoyable read. Another well done addition to the Little People Big Dreams series. Love it!

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I thought the illustrations in this book were perfect for the subject; they mirrored Andy Warhol's pop style well. Much like other books in this series, the story being told was simplified in such a way as to make it understandable for the target audience. However, similar to other books in this series, I think a small glossary would help. Art terms like "pop art" may not be readily understood by children, so an explanation would be helpful. However, as an introduction to popular figures, this book, and the series as a whole are great.

How cute! This was another great Little People,Big Dreams picture book. This one is a biography of artist Andy Warhol. Even I learned new things from this book! We meet young Andy, a shy, artistic boy living in Pennsylvania with his family. as a young adult, he moves to New York City where he finds his fame through pop art. This is a great story for kids who like art, or perhaps feel shy. It shows that shyness doesn't have to stop you from achieving your dreams.

I've read many of Vegara's books. This author must be a little demon workhorse to turn out so many of these ebooks. I believe there are like five dozen of them now, and I sure haven't read that many, but I have read quite a few. There has been only one, if I recall correctly, that I have not liked. This one was no exception to the likeability rule.

Andy Warhola, as he was originally, was the child of Slovakian immigrants who was shy and had an artistic leaning from an early age. He finished college and moved quickly to New York where he was able to find work as an illustrator, before he branched out into celebrating the mundane and became a world-famous artist, inspired by the soup cans from which he made his lunch each day.

This book tells a short, sweet, and nicely illustrated (by Hunt) story of his life and work and I commend it.

Another win for Little People Big Dreams. My daughter always loves learning about artists in this series. Andy Warhol's story is another well-written and well-illustrated book to delight any young reader!

The publisher made a copy of this book available for review via Netgalley. This is my honest opinion.

Love the simple lessons that every reader, young and grown-ups, will learn from reading this children's book series. Just like in Andy Warhol's story, it highlights overcoming shyness and finding beauty in everyday objects. The illustrations in this book also mimic the pop art that Andy Warhol became famous with. Young readers would definitely love this book because of how colorful the illustrations and the inspiring story of Andy Warhol.

I received an electronic ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books through NetGalley.
Sanchez Vegara never disappoints with this series. Her biographies for young readers offer just enough information to whet their interest and introduce them to a wide variety of people. In this volume, readers meet a young Andy Warhola before the "a" was dropped from his name. They see his interest in his own unique style then and see it continue to develop as he becomes an adult. The illustrations capture Warhol's style and offer readers a taste of his art.

I absolutely love this series. It is an excellent way to introduce a wide range of famous figures to younger children or as a starting point for older children. This book is a glorious riot of colour and stylised illustrations which are perfect for a book introducing to a new audience to the amazing work of Andy Warhol. This series is destined to become a real classic collection. As an educationalist I am always full of anticipation as to who will be the next focus.

Huge thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for a fabulous series and the chance to have a sneak preview and review these wonderful books.

Another great book from the Little People, BIG DREAMS series! I did not realize that Andy Warhol has passed away so long ago. As always, I have learned something new from this book.

Keep them coming because I want to keep learning.

There's no shortage of biographical series for kids these days, and the "Little People, Big Dreams" books are one of the best! I love that reading g these with my son or the kids I tutor, I learn things I never knew about the person, too! I really liked the timeline at the end.

If you have older kids, don't write these off. While they're short and written for younger kids, older kids can use them as a jumping off point for further research on their own.

A simple introduction to Andy Warhol and his Pop Art. The illustration style is wonderful. I would have liked to see more simulations of Warhol's actual work though. I appreciate the timeline at the end.

The ‘My First Little People, Big Dreams’ series provides informative and inspirational biographies about people who left a mark on this earth, no matter what difficulties they have encountered.
These stories are concise, but that’s because they’re books for children, so it’s totally understandable.
I think they are a brilliant and wonderful way to introduce little children to such important figures.
This little one here is about And Warhol, the great artist of Pop Art. His great talent consisted of transforming ordinary objects into masterpieces. It was fascinating reading about him, and I think his story could be of great inspiration for little children.

I love this series, but I just didn't like this one very much and I'm having a hard time placing what it is I didn't like. The pictures were fun and corfu as always, and I like Andy Warhol, but it just fell fast for me.

My words are limited to express the joy of reading this series. Andy warhol is the pioneer of pop art. His simple story to give art a new meaning can inspire young minds to find their own definition of art and life in general.
