I really liked This Time Next Year by Sophie so I was definitely looking forward to the next book in her line up.

I love Just Haven't Met You Yet, so much more than the last one. Nothing wrong with TTNY but I think I love the sweet moments between Laura and Ted more. Laura is a journalist for a company called Love Life and she askes couples "how did you meet". Following her own parents love story, Laura is sent on a trip to find out more about her parents and maybe find a love like theirs for herself. But everything goes wrong. She takes someone else's suitcase when leaving the airport and goes on a "wild" journey trying to find her suitcase and the person who may have it. When she looks at the suitcase she does have, the items in there are similiar to her own tastes so she thinks this could be a "meet cute" moment for her and the start of a great relationship. On her journey she meets Ted, the cabdriver who unwilling takes her around different locations where her parents took photos at and try to find the man who owns the suitcase she has.

A heart warming story which was a joy to read. I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read but also kept my attention.
Thank you to Sophie Cousens and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Such a good book, but I had no doubt about it, as I really enjoyed her first book. I think this author is going to go far.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

A really sweet and heart warming story. Having read Sophie’s work previously, this story did not disappoint.
I liked the how the story incorporated the modern world of blogs against the serene non-hectic way of life in Jersey.
Sophie Coulson has such a way of writing male and female lead characters that are relatable and extremely likeable.
If you like romance stories with heart and depth and gives you an ending that you didn’t expect, then this one is for you!

I have already been fortunate enough to chat to Sophie about this book - and I raved about it on Times Radio. She has such a way with a romantic comedy, and I simply adore the characters she creates and the tales she takes them on. As well as the wider romance of this, I loved the level of detail, from an obsession with kitchens, to intricate carpentry and the most envy-inducing description of a house that winds its way down to a beach that I've read (lusted after...) in a long time! It's a true skill as well to see how she sets her stories now, in today's tech in such a believable manner, while marrying the feel of the book to a more traditional romantic comedy in the vein of When Harry Met Sally. Can;t wait to read what comes next.

This gorgeous book is the novel that has pulled me out my slump – it’s just lovely!

If you’ve read Cousens’ debut, This Time Next Year, then you’ll know that she has a real skill for creating strong, likeable female characters and male love interests who I, for one, would quite like to date myself 😂 I loved the island setting and I’ve now added Jersey to my holiday wishlist.

This is smart, funny read and left me with the biggest smile on my face. So many thanks to the publisher for gifting me a copy to review.

Just Haven't Met You Yet has everything you need in a romcom. Strong female friendships. Mishaps. Meet-cutes and I will they, won't they narrative.

Laura is a journalist and writes about love. She decides to visit Jersey to find out more about her parents' great love story.

But where is her perfect match? When will she ever experience movie style passion a la The Notebook? Well, be careful what you wish for as on the island she meets two potential candidates. One seems her perfect other half. One comes with complications and doesn't share her love for Phil Collins.

As she receives shocking news about her parents, she begins to realise that she hasn't been living for today while she's worrying about the future or dwelling in the past. All we have is now. And she knows just who she wants to spend her now with.

Light-hearted, funny and very sweet, this was a lovely escapist read.

After falling in love with Sophie Cousens first book, I was very excited to pick up this book and was definitely not disappointed! This is a cute rom com with a good mix of humour and heartfelt moments. The characters are well developed and came to life on the page, with a beautiful setting of Jersey, which wholeheartedly made me want to visit.

I can't wait for more work from this fantastic author!!

Sophie Cousens has done it again! In this spectacular novel, we are whisked away on a romantic but hilarious story, that was just so easy and comforting to read! Everyone I have spoken to about this absolutely loved it and Sophie Cousens has a way of creating characters and places that means you can easily imagine yourself right there with them!

What a book- a real Heart warmer. I fell in love with the main characters straight away. Fate can be so cruel, yet so kind. This book really sums up why you have to trust in life and take each step and each experience as it comes. Many emotions were felt during the reading of this book- be aware!!

Laura goes to Jersey where her parents met, to write an article and visit the places where her parents spent an idyllic summer. The loss of her suitcase at the airport, makes her wonder will it bring she and her ideal lover together?. A travel log of the beautiful island, Laura ends up meeting 2 men of her dreams. Which will she choose? Perfect book to read on a cold winters day, I really enjoyed revisiting the island where I spent my honeymoon.

Journalist Laura is used to documenting how couples meet for her job at 'Love Life' magazine... but she's never had her own romantic encounter. However, on a business trip to Jersey, she accidentally picks up the wrong suitcase, and its contents seem like they could be from her dream man! Is her own love story finally about to begin?

Sophie Cousens is fast becoming one of my favourite authors! Her books are feel-good, funny and romantic... and this one is no exception!

It was nice to read a rom-com set somewhere other than London or New York! I knew nothing about Jersey before reading, but I felt like Sophie describes the landscape so well (and I loved the addition of the little map!) that I now feel like I've been there.

I adored reading about the blossoming relationship between Laura and Ted. Yes, it's a little predictable at times, but we all love rooting for the underdog... it would be weird if it played out another way!

I possibly picked the worst time in my life to read this because I was going through a emotionally-difficult break-up! However, this book actually made me feel a bit better. I haven't given up on finding my own Ted one day!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest, independent review.

Laura is a journalist who interviews people about their real-life love stories. But when she picks up the wrong suitcase at Jersey Airport, she's about to star in her own. From the evidence in the suitcase, could Laura have found The One? But the only problem, is she has to find him first!

This was a sweet, poignant story about meeting The One. The setting of Jersey sounded absolutely beautiful, and there were many humorous points.

However, I felt it was a bit cliche; a little too Richard Curtis movie. There were moments I was laughing and smiling, but other moments I was rolling my eyes at some of the silly, clumsy moments, which seemed a little too much. I found Laura a bit ditzy and annoying, though I adored Ted.

Maybe not one for me, though I can see its appeal for others.

Incredibly heartwarming. I read it non-stop over two days and it was so sweet! Can’t wait for more books from Sophie!

Just Haven’t Met You Yet brings you Laura, a writer who’s waiting for Mr. Right and her kablamo moment. Her parents had an epic love story cut short by tragedy so she wants her happily ever after too. These expectations might be slightly over the top as she learns when traveling to the channel island of Jersey, where her parents met.

This one started a little slow for me. Laura was ignoring the guy right in front of her and I just wanted to shake her! The second half brought a lot of growing up and learning for our main character which I enjoyed.

Although the love story was fast, falling in love in like three days, it was still a sweet story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sophie Cousens is brilliant at creating creating super cute rom-coms and warm, likeable characters. And, there are lots of funny moments in this from scattering tampons all over the airport to being stuck in a coat cupboard while the lady of the manor gets it on with the local beekeeper. Like main character Laura "Cheer up, love, might never happen" is one of my most hated expressions but thanks to Laura I now have the best retort in: "I am allowed to look grumpy if I want to. It is my face and my prerogative not to smile....It is not my responsibility to make the world a prettier place for you." Alongside the humour, there's also some more poignant moments and emotional depth around life, loss, family, friendship, self-discovery, happiness and fate - it's more than just a romance which I really like. I also enjoyed the premise of this - choosing between two very different love interests - and the idea of fate and what we think we want vs what we actually want.

Laura’s business trip to the Channel Islands is off to a rough start. First off, the contents of her bag spill, including some personal belongings, in front of the most gorgeous man she’s ever laid eyes on. Second, after a long day of travel she’s ready to relax and opens her bag only to discover she grabbed the wrong luggage! However, she discovers the contents of this bag reveal the man of her dreams. Her favorite book, music and a handsome sweater. He has to be perfection! Now she just has to find him to exchange bags and meet the man of her dreams in person. Laura asks grumpy cab driver, Ted, to help her locate her mystery man. She also is on a work mission to follow and write the love story of her parents. As she retraces their steps and meets new family members, her parents story seems too good to be true. Will she have a happy ending finding her mystery man and her happily ever after? Laura realizes maybe she needs to rethink her idea of love and happiness.
I enjoyed this adorable romantic comedy. I loved how the main character thought she was on a journey for one thing and ended up finding a few unexpected gifts along the way. I also loved the supporting characters and setting! Just an all around feel good, cute read!

What an utterly charming and serendipitous book.

Far more than a search for Mr Right, Laura's trip to the Channel Islands becomes as much about self discovery and resilience as it is about finding a man. I fell in love with the island she is on just as much as she did, and found myself laughing and crying in equal measure as she learns more about her parents past, faces up to her own dreams and desires and has some excellent adventures along the way.
The characters in the book are all amazing, but it is Gerry who really captured my heart and gave me pause for thought. His wisdom and strength of character were really humbling.

It's such a wonderful feel good novel that held me in a warm embrace while I read it.

My thanks go to the publishers and NetGalley for the arc in return for an honest review.
