Another great novel by Sophie Cousens! Just Haven't Met you Yet, was motivated by a desire for the great love story. Laura travels to the Channel Islands to research her parent's love story and is convinced she will meet the man of her dreams and create her own magic. But what she finds, is a crabby taxi driver, Ted, who is not impressed with her voyage for love. But Laura will not give up that quickly.

Thank you, NetGalley for an advanced copy of this novel!

I absolutely LOVED IT . Started it this morning and just finished it - it's a long time since I've read a whole book in a day, but this was unputdownable for me and enjoyed reading it, sitting in the garden with the sun peeping in and out of the clouds. Makes me want to visit Jersey and see all the places Laura visited. A great summer read.

ARC generously supplied by Cornerstone and NetGalley, this review is my honest opinion and completely unbiased.

Reading this was almost as good as a holiday.

Her parents fell in love in Jersey, now Laura has convinced her boss to let her write an article about their love story. Laura intends to retrace her parent's steps and re-photograph the locations in her mother's photo album, creating a 'here and now' account. Arriving at her hotel she realises she's picked up the wrong bag at the airport. Her job is on the line if she doesn't make a success of this article and she only has the clothes she's wearing. With only four days on the island she can't wait for the airport to find and return her bag, it's time for some detective work. Delving into the bag to identify the owner's name she finds the contents more than interesting, in fact she's convinced 'the suitcase man' could be her Mr. Right. What follows is Laura's search to find the illusive bag owner while still attempting to write her article.

A light-hearted and enjoyable read. If you haven't already visited Jersey, by the time you've finished this book you'll be planning your holiday there. Jersey Tourist Board - prepare for an influx of visitors.

Laura is a writer who works for a lifestyle website, her speciality is articles of true-life love and relationships, yet love has eluded her as none of her previous boyfriends have ever matched up to the romance of her parents who met when reuniting two halves of a silver shilling. When searching for new ideas for her demanding boss, Laura pitches a journey to Jersey to retrace the romance of her parents' first meeting.

At the airport Laura picks up the wrong suitcase, but the contents reveal a man who has scarily similar tastes to her own, from his reading choices, his musical tastes, his clothing - everything screams The One. When the airport is unable to help Laura embarks on a one-woman mission to find the mysterious owner of the other suitcase to see if they could be a match

Helping Laura is the grumpy, extremely beardy, Ted the taxi driver who shows her the island's beauty spots and helps her recreate her parents' photos from their romance.

This book has it all. Humour, romance, sadness, and beautiful scenery. There are also family secrets to be uncovered and choices to make.

Perfect summer holiday reading, or remembrance of summer days.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I loved it. Made you want to visit Jersery. The lies we tell our children to make every thing ok. Ted was a lovely man, Suki was a boss and a half. Laura really believed in true love and Jasper was perfect on paper. I won’t spoil it but do read it. A lovely ending

Just Haven't Met You Yet is a charming, heartwarming story that follows Laura as she strives to find a love story as good as her parents'. There was a good amount of romance (after all, Laura is a romantic), but the majority of the story is Laura learning more about herself and coming to terms with what she learns about her family's past. Another good read from Sophie Cousens!

Charming and fun, a perfect rom-com book! This was my second time reading a Sophie Cousens book, and just as enjoyable as the first one. She has a wonderful writing style that keeps you entertained. I loved the characters in the book, just enough quirkiness to keep them real. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic comedies!

Laura has built a career out of interviewing people about their epic real life love stories. When she picks up the wrong suitcase at the airport, Laura wonders if this could be the start of something that's written in the stars. From piano sheet-music to a battered copy of her favourite book, Laura finds in the bag evidence of everything she could hope for in a partner. If Laura's job has taught her anything it's that when it comes to love, you can't let opportunity pass you by. Now Laura is determined to track down the owner of the suitcase, and her own happy ending. But what if fate has other ideas?

This is the perfect, cosy read to get engrossed by, I adored every minute reading this read. Firstly, I loved the beginning where we learn about Laura's job and the interviews she makes. Then we move on to her trip to Jersey and Laura gets to live her very own love story, or does she?

Yes, the plot is obvious but when it is this enjoyable, full of love and just a beautiful story, who cares? Reading this was just a complete joy, it is packed with emotion and heartfelt moments and it felt like a real treat to read. Jersey proves to be the perfect setting for this read and Cousens captures its beauty perfectly.

A book like this relies on its characters so it is just as well that Laura makes for wonderful company. It was so enjoyable getting to know Laura and her story, as well as the stories of those around her. Everyone came to feel like long lost friends and I loved spending time with them.

'Just Haven't Met You Yet' is the ultimate feel good read. If you are looking for a read to get stuck into and fall in love with then look no further.

Thank you to NetGalley and Arrow for an advance copy.

I had an early copy of this book thanks to Netgally and thoroughly enjoyed it. The book focuses on Laura who is a journalist telling other people's love stories whilst looking for her own happy ending. She goes to Jersey in search of details of her own parents story and learns lots about her history and herself whilst there. This was an excellent book with lots of lighthearted romance and comedy mixed in with some more serious messages about love and loss. I have read the authors previous book which drew me to this one and she did not disappoint.

A really lovely read. When Laura goes to Jersey to research her parents past for work, she discovers lots of secrets, and when she meets Ted who is working as a cab driver he takes her to see the places where her parents used to go and the story really gets interesting. An idilyc location will plenty of warm and interesting characters and it's full of warmth and charm. A rom com that will make you smile I loved it

Humour and romance, friendship and love - what is not to like here?
Laura is a romantic who throws in her lot with fate and destiny when she accidentally ends up with someone else's case whilst travelling to Jersey to follow her own parent's love story. As you might expect, the path of true love never runs smoothly and the real world loves to make us sit up and take notice from time to time; hilarity and chaos inevitably ensues.
This novel, whilst funny, is also moving in places and you really do want the best for the lovely Laura, especially when you know she is heading in the wrong direction. You will laugh with her (and at her) ; you will be shouting at her in your head but also cheering her on. I loved the music references - I may have to revisit Phil Collins and I certainly won't look at a coat closet without chuckling ever again.

This was a sweet and sometimes surprisingly poignant story about a journalist yearning to meet ‘the one’, but using the yardstick of her parents own impossibly romantic story as her aim.

It was set in Jersey, a gorgeous place I’ve been lucky enough to holiday in. Plus I’ve recently been enjoying bingeing on Bergerac on BritBox - notably enjoying a youthful John Nettles - so I was very pleased to see the island brought to life here.

I enjoyed the humour and the banter but the romance let it down a bit for me. Laura meets one chap and is chasing after another, both men are good and hot and so I struggled to commit to a romance with either of them. Fortunately the romance isn’t the only story here, this is as much about Laura learning about herself and her family as the romance and I was actually just as interested in that.

It’s a sweet and undemanding read that would be good for the beach; it didn’t blow me away but it was absorbing and I enjoyed it.

Thanks to the publisher via netgalley for the arc.

I adored this book! What’s not to like about a funny, emotional and romantic story set on the island of Jersey?! When Laura is sent to Jersey by her boss to write her parents love story, she never expects fate to throw her a curved ball! After a calamitous journey to Jersey involving a collision with a gorgeous man at the airport, annoying passengers on the flight and losing her temper with the taxi driver in Jersey, Laura finds herself with a strangers suitcase filled with possessions that lead her to think that the owner is the man of her dreams. She decides to track him, and her missing suitcase down, but fate has another plan.......
Wonderful, heartwarming and filled with likeable characters.

I enjoyed Sophie Cousen's book This Time Next Year, and was delighted to be invited to read Just Haven't Met You Yet. I was apprehensive incase this was a let down from her first book. I loved it! I usually know within the first couple of chapters how much I’m going to enjoy a book but I knew within the first 2 pages that this was one I was going to struggle to put down. Definitely recommend this read and giving it a full ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I fell in love with the incredible mix of characters and I am completely convinced that Laura, the main character, and I would be best friends! The pop culture references throughout made me feel even more connected to the Laura's life and I loved the journey she went on throughout the book!
Just Haven't Met You Yet was also a really thoughtful read on grief and love which made me think deeply about how I view my life - I'm determined to be more in the here and now after reading this!
Sophie Cousens you are just the best and I am counting down the days until November when I can get my hands on a paper copy of this one!

I so enjoyed Sophie Cousen's book This Time Next Year, and was delighted to be invited to read Just Haven't Met You Yet. I Just Haven't Met You Yet is a charming story about Laura, a journalist who loves a great love story. In search of information about her father and mother's romance, she travels to Jersey. After arriving, Laura discovers she accidentally picked up the wrong suitcase at baggage claim and thus begins pursuit of her own romantic tale. But can lasting love really follow a meet cute?

Laura was such a relatable character for me and I loved the relationships Ms. Cousens builds between her characters. Jersey is described so well I found myself Googling pictures and maps to learn more about the island. There were a few unexpected twists in Just Haven't Met You Yet that made the book even more engaging. Thanks so much to Penguin Random House and Netgalley for the opportunity to receive an ARC of this delightful book!

Just Haven’t Met You Yet has Laura interviewing couples on how they met and fell in love.
She is sent to Jersey by her boss, this time it’s personal, it is the story of how her deceased father and mother met, taking in all the wonderful scenery Jersey has to offer. On arrival she realises her luggage has been mixed up and when she opens the case she sees a mans clothes her favourite book and music on a CD she loves. Convinced this is fate she feels this man could be her soul mate, rather far fetched but it provide a story with humour, unexpected revelations, some sadness but above all Laura finding love.
An easy pleasurable read that I enjoyed.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.
