Loved this from start to finish. Laura was a wonderful lead character. I could really relate to her and how much of a romantic she was. The sub-plots of Laura still dealing with the loss of her mother and retracing her parents love story and the revelations there were emotional and touching. I also liked how much Jersey’s history and life as a place was woven into the story as well. Beardy McCastaway aka Ted was great, a little messy, a little broken but also funny, charming, warm and likeable. I loved how he got pulled into Laura’s quest to find Suitcase guy (who was lovely too). Ted and Laura had excellent chemistry. It happened over a short period of time but the author did a great job of making their connection feel real, and genuine. During all their interactions you could see them really getting to know each other in a real way and actually seeing beyond the surface. Really engaging read (5 ⭐️).

Such a lovely heart warming story. Loved Laura and her journey to Jersey and retracing her parents story. Her connections with Jasper and Ted were great and the ending was perfect. Another great read from Sophie Cousens.

Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens a five-star read that is so much more than the romance I was expecting. This was a great story and had its romantic moments and the meet cute aspect, but it was the underlying story’s that made it for me. I really like the way that Sophie Cousens doesn’t just lay it all out, but weaves many stories and plaits different aspects thought the novel. Things are revealed and just when you think you know what is going on back there, no something else pops up and you are pondering again. That’s what I loved with this one, when I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it, wondering where the story would go, and thinking over what I had just read, that’s what makes this such a powerful read.

Having absolutely adored Sophie's first book, I was so excited to read this one. This book is everything I hoped it would be; fun, easy, but also incredibly wholesome and cosy. I will be recommending this book closer to its release date to my followers, because I think it'll be the perfect book to come up with over winter.

Laura is off to Jersey to write about how her parents met. It seems she might be about to meet the man of her dreams too.
It's a nicely written book with a good number of characters and a little humour as well as romance.
Personally I found the story a little predictable but it's a good summer book.

Laura writes a column on love and relationships - she specializes in meet-cutes. She's sent to the Channel Islands to film some love story material for her boss, and all of a sudden, she has a meet cute of her own when she picks up the wrong suitcase at the airport. Her mystery man wears cable knit sweaters, loves To Kill a Mockingbird, and is also a fan of her favorite singer Phil Collins. It must be fate! Well, fate has a little more in store than what Laura's expecting.

This book put a smile on my face from start to finish. Laura was a great protagonist - a hopeless romantic with a heart of gold. She also experiences a lot of personal growth during the novel, something I love to see in romance/women's fiction. I loved her adventures in the Channel Islands with cabdriver Ted - the small Jersey town she landed in was ever so charming.

And the suitcase - well, let's just say that not every item in the suitcase gets returned to its owner in its original condition. There are plenty of hijinks and laughs in this novel, and it was just a pure pleasure to read. I highly recommend it - I think it would go great with a cup of tea or hot chocolate (perfect for a fall release!)

Thank you to Random House UK/Arrow for an ARC on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY GOD I LOVED THIS!!

Firstly, i only requested this book because the title is the same as my favourite Michael Buble song 🎵"i just haven't met you yet 🎵 but after reading this, i am definitely going to check out Sophie's previous books and any future ones!

I love hearing everyone's "Meet Cute" the story of how they met. Our main character Laura interviews couples for this exact reason, all whilst trying to find the right person for herself.

This story is EXCELLENT. Ugh, i LOVED all the characters, Ted is just Derek Shepherd from Greys Anatomy. Laura just reminds me of Meredith , oh gosh there's a theme here, but still, such a good plot.

Even though it's predictable... because the MOMENT i met a specific character, I just knew what was going to happen. However it doesn't take anything away from the story. In fact, it made me even more anxious to read HOW it was all going to play out.

Before i got married, i had the biggest fantasy of meeting my future husband at the airport. Either on the plane, or a mix up with the suitcases, which is exactly what happened to Laura in this book. (And i ended up meeting my husband at IKEA... ok not quite the same thing, i know) Alongside that, we have a subplot about her family and i loved all the work related storyline.

I started and finished this book within 2 hours, LOVE IT, loved the writing, such a feel good book. Highly recommend.

This book. This book was quietly wonderful. It got under my skin and into my heart without me even realising. Before I was anywhere near done I found myself deeply caring for these characters. It was really refreshing to read a book with all good characters. I loved this book. I loved the setting, I loved the people and I loved the outcome. Thank you Sophie for another wonderful book!

🙋🏻‍♀️An unpopular opinion.  I didn’t connect with the main character in the author’s previous book,  𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑁𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑌𝑒𝑎𝑟🤭 But when I read the synopsis of her new book, I thought I’d give it a try because I have no problem with the writing style itself and the setting of this one sounded very interesting.  And I was right!!  I loved and adored this book even though it is not my favourite trope!!

📚Laura is a journalist in London and she was sent to Jersey Island to research write about the love story of her late parents. But at the airport, she crashed into a man and realised later that they swapped their luggages by accident. She is convinced from his belongings that he is the one she is dentined to be with and gets help from a Jersey local taxi driver to find the man the luggage belongs to…

👉The characters are great with a good sense of humour and charming personality, and there are thought-provoking dialogues throughout the book.  While I kept cheering Laura to find her potential soulmate, it got me thinking and feeling so many things.

👉Grief from a loss of loved ones, conflicting ideas such as feminism vs romance, love story vs reality… these themes are dealt and explored throughout the book.

It is easy to read, but it’s rich with substance and poignant at times.  So much more than just romance.  But the romance part is beautiful, too!  I absolutely love this book❤️❤️  Please keep the release date in mind and would love to hear other readers’ thoughts on this!

Journalist for ‘Love Life’ magazine Laura La Quesne writes the popular ‘How did you meet?’ column. She is seeking her own life altering Hollywood style love and witnessing the happy ever after stories she writes about is tough. Her friend Vanya advises her to keep the faith and ‘you just haven’t met him yet’. Her boss Suki sends her to Jersey (Channel Isles) in order to write her parents love story, her deceased father Alex having been a Jersey resident. Will she meet her soulmate? You’ll have to read it to find out! Laura tells her story, interspersed with extracts from her parents letters and snippets from ‘Tiger Woman’ by Bee Bee Graceful.

This is an enjoyable, light, fun, sweet, a bit cheesy in a good way, summer beach read novel. It’s not just about finding the man who makes your heart race or swoon if you’re a swoony type but it’s also about learning about who you are, what is actually important and what makes you tick. It’s peppered with good humour some of which makes you laugh out loud and there’s a dash of sadness and some lies which are told for the best of reasons. The characters are good, there’s a good variety from Suki who is something else, to lovely Ted the taxi driver and his adorable father Gerry. Laura is an excellent central protagonist, she’s joyful at times, funny, gets herself into a few scrapes which makes her very relatable and likeable. She finds that men are like buses, none, the two come along and the unravelling of that one is fun as she discovers which one gives her the Kablammo moment. One of the biggest stars of the show has to the the beautiful island of Jersey. The setting is as gorgeous as one of its famous sons in Henry Cavill and yes, he’s mentioned several times and the places on the island are used very effectively in the storytelling - Jersey tourist board take note!!

Overall, this is a lively, engaging and compelling read as Laura seeks her Hotty McFace! If you like Phil Collins you’re a shoe in with this one (!) and if you like a lovely setting then, ditto. If you like a cringe or three at times, a bit of a chuckle with a dash or several of romance then this will fit the bill!

With thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House, Cornerstone, Arrow for the much appreciated arc in return for an honest review.

Couldn't ask for more for an unputdownable romcom - brooding, swoon-worthy love interests, cute quirky girl, lots of humour, gorgeous landscapes and a dash of originality. Laura has spent her life believing in romance and waiting for her perfect match. She convinces her editor to let her write about her own parents romance. When she picks up the wrong suitcase at the airport, she is convinced her destiny is to meet the owner.

The author balances her humour and depth well, touching on dementia and the loneliness of losing a loved one. The main characters were well rounded and easy to love, and even the secondary characters were believable. Most importantly, the story skipped along at a good pace, keeping you wanting more, and knowing that the next outrageous calamity was just around the corner. Highly enjoyable!

Laura, who writes about how others have fallen in love, travels to Jersey to write a story about how her parents met there before she was born. However, when she picks up the wrong suitcase at the airport she thinks this could be her chance of finding love. A really relatable character, lovely story and could just imagine the beautiful setting of Jersey with it. A great read thank you.

A great read.

Laura is in Jersey for work, and when she takes the wrong suitcase from the airport, she believes this will be her own meet-cute. With Ted the taxi driver helping her out, will she find the suitcase owner and man she hopes to meet?

Makes me want to visit Jersey now!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.

This is my second read by Sophie Cousens and I really, really enjoyed it. I loved the main character Laura who was so realistic, likeable and believable. She travels to Jersey for work, and on picking up the wrong suitcase at the airport thinks she has found her ‘ideal’ man based on the suitcase contents and tries to find him. This is a feel good, uplifting, poignant story with brilliant light hearted funny moments that had me laughing out loud. Is suitcase man the one for Laura or is it someone else? I thought the book was written really well, it was engaging and I enjoyed reading about the side characters and their lives, and how the author included them in the story. I loved the mention of Minnie and Quinn from This time next year at the beginning. This was such a delightful easy read that really hit the mark with me, and I loved everything about it.

This is book a real gem. Laura works as a Love Life website journalist selling dreams. She also wants to meet

someone to share her life with. While trying to solve the mystery of two halves of a coin that belonged to her

parents, she manages to set up a work assignment on the beautiful island of Jersey.. On arrival she mistakenly

picks up the wrong suitcase from the carousel. This story sparkles as Laura looks for romance in this

heartwarming, funny tale. . It is a celebration of life's highs and lows..

As her previous book; it had a strong start but lost me afterwards.

I could totally relate to the lead character and I loved that about the book, It's very a rare for that to happen

When I reviewed This Time Next year last year, I said that Sophie Cousens could possibly become a favourite author of mine. Well, after reading this it's safe to say that she is one of my favourites. I loved this book. Her books have so much heart and are laugh out loud funny. I also liked the reference to Minnie and Quinn from This Time Next Year at the start of the book. It's a story about life not going as you planned it, following your dreams and appreciating what you have today, because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. I can see Sophie Cousen's books being adapted into films before long and I can't wait for the next book. Also, if somebody would like to commission a musical based on Phil Collins songs I'd be okay with that.
