I've read many Caitlin Crews novels in the last several years so I know I can count on her to deliver an enjoyable romance with interesting and complex characters. That's definitely what you get here, with Harriett the forthright librarian (if this were a historical romance, she'd be a bluestocking) and Jensen, the playboy cowboy whose facade Harriett is able to see through pretty quickly. A tragedy that occurred when Jensen was a teenager has shaped his life going forward and made him determined to treat life easy (at least on the surface) and uncomplicated by anything requiring commitment like a 'relationship'. But Harriett somehow ropes him into aiding a troubled teen in her summer school program, to the surprise of his family who never would have classified Jensen as a role model. And she gets under his skin (to his chagrin), something no other woman has done. As a spinoff to the Cold River Ranch series, the Kittredge Ranch series has some familiar characters and worldbuilding and dives into both family and friend relationships in realistic fashion, which is to say that not everything is perfect. But watching Harriett and Jensen stumble their way into a real relationship is a delight. I'm looking forward to catching up on some of the stories for the secondary characters that I've missed and I'll be on the lookout for more.

Overall I loved this book!
I admit that, at first, I really didn’t like Harriett. Maybe she was too nerdy. Too uppity. But she chilled out after the first scene with Jensen and became really straightforward and likeable. The ending was fantastic!
It was a bit wordy, where I found myself skipping a lot of the inner monologue but I don’t think I missed out on anything. I still loved it. 5 stars!

Jensen is the happy-go-lucky rancher and firefighter who always has a joke and never takes anything too seriously. Harriett is the stereotypical high school librarian complete with frumpy wardrobe and cats. The two cross paths when Harriett reached out to Jenson to talk to her class of at-risk youth, it sets them on a path that neither saw coming. I liked Jenson and Harriett’s love story, but I really got tired of the highly stereotypical portrayal of Harriett. In every way the author hammered home how awkward and homely Harriett was and that a guy like Jensen would never want to be with her.

Jensen is the town's most notorious playboy, who never took anything serious. Harriett, the high school librarian. Harriett is headstrong and wants to hide the attraction she feels for Jensen. For the most part it was a typical small-town romance and felt stagnant for a major part of the book. Caitlin Crews is a new to me author and interested in reading more by her.

Harriett Barnett- what can I say I knew I would like her when she walked into the bar in a cardigan and held her own. Jensen Kittredge well he is the wild sexy local cowboy plus wildlife firefighter and add in some smoke jumping and yeah... opposites attract hard core.

But we learn Jensen is not so wild as he helps one of Harriett's students with a talk to her class and then time with his horses. Harriett learns to get a bit out of her shell in someways but I just lover her so much with her knitting, reading, and cats. She loves skirts with pockets so she is a lady after my own heart! I enjoyed this slow burn that then turned into flames.

I'm so excited to see the rest of this series in Cold River, CO! So many people I want that HEA!

All Night Long With a Cowboy is the second title in the Kittredge Ranch series. This was my first time reading Caitlin Crews work, and I felt that you could easily read this title as a standalone. Harriett and Jen’s story is an opposites attract, slow burn romance.

Harriett is a quirky, unique and straight-laced librarian. She’s passionate about her work and headstrong, and old fashioned.

Jensen is the son of a prominent ranching family, and hides his true personality and pain behind a playboy persona, and his antics cause many to underestimate his capabilities.

The beginning of this title was quite slow, and it took awhile for me to get into their story. It was one that I picked up and put down several times, as I struggled to stay focused on the plot, and it was kind of off-putting the way in which Jensen was continually full named.

Although not my favorite cowboy romance, I look forward to reading future works by Caitlin Crew.

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the perfect combination of well-developed, memorable characters and a captivating storyline that will make you swoon.

Jensen Kittredge hides behind a happy-go-lucky, dumb as a rock persona because no one expects anything from that guy, until Harriet Barnett does.

Harriet has flown under the radar in Cold River, and her happy little life is orderly and neat until she convinces Jensen to help her with one of her students.

Crews builds a wonderful relationship between Harriet and Jensen with a slow build and sweet passion that allows them each to bloom.

Jensen Kittredge is known in town to be a womanizer but when Harriett Barnett comes into the bar looking for him, he doesn’t know what’s in store for him. Harriett Barnett, a librarian in the school, is dedicated in helping the students deemed as “lost causes” succeed in the future. Thus she enlists Jensen’s help to speak with them. With each encounter, Jensen is thrown into a loop and cannot deny his attraction towards her. While they are total opposites, the built up of their relationship was great.

Aidan Hall, a troubled teenager, is trying to escape the life everyone in town thinks he will lead. With the guidance of Harriett and Jensen, thankfully things turn around for him.

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second novel to the Kittredge Ranch series. I have not read the previous book but I am compelled to read this series as it was full of fun and interesting – from the banter between the two and the help both Jensen and Harriett provided Aidan. I also like that Harriett was unapologetic about who she is at her core, regardless of what others may think of her. A recommended read for those contemporary romance set in a small town.

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second book in the Kittredge Ranch series, and is set in the small town of Cold River, Colorado. What happens when the school librarian goes in search of the town's biggest flirt Jensen? What follows is a story of opposites attract, and she turns his whole world upside down, and shows him he can have an amazing life after all. I definitely recommend this book to others.

I really enjoyed this opposites attract story. Jensen is plays his role as a playboy cowboy well, but Harriet the schoolmarm librarian begins to see him as more than that. I love that the author didn't change Harriet to get her man. I found that both main characters had lots of layers to their personalities and enjoy discovering more about them

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second book in the Kittredge Ranch series by Caitlin Crews. This series is connected to her Cold River Ranch series; if you've read any of those books, you will no doubt see some familiar faces here. If you didn't read the prior book Secret Nights with a Cowboy, don't worry, as this romance stands alone. You may miss a bit concerning family dynamics, though.

Jensen Kittredge is Cold River, Colorado's favorite Kittredge brother. He always has a laugh and smile for everyone, especially the ladies. He has many beautiful women wanting to share his bed, though he makes sure they understand he doesn't do relationships. While at the Coyote, a disreputable watering hole, he is approached by high school librarian Harriett Barnett, who is scowling at him and doesn't look particularly impressed. Harriett has no desire to be at that bar, but one of her students needs help and Jensen is the one she needs. They work together with troubled student Aidan Hall, and Harriett begins to suspect that there's more to Jensen than the happy-go-lucky clown persona he shows to the public. Jensen is totally confused by Harriett, who is odd, prim, straightforward and wears clothes that swallow what he suspects is a luscious little body. Is there any hope that two polar opposites can find what they need from each other?

This was an entertaining cowboy romance with an opposites attract trope. Jensen was a fun hero, though I found him to be annoying throughout about half of the book. I liked that he had hidden depths and had a past that still haunted him, plus he was fun and amusing. So what was the problem? I understand he was an attractive man and many women were interested in him; however, he just appeared...smarmy somehow. His attitude just irritated me, until he was flummoxed by Harriett and turned inside out. Harriett I adored from the start. She was odd, and she acknowledged it and was totally okay with it. She spoke plainly, totally throwing some people off. Her clothing choices appeared atrocious, but she went for practicality and comfort. She was a cat lady and book lover after my own heart. Oh, and she was a virgin...definitely the opposite of Jensen! They were nothing alike, but the passion between them was explosive! Steamy times abounded. I loved that both Jensen and Harriett could see into the real person instead of the mask they often wore in public. Aidan was a good character as well. He came from a family with a horrible reputation, and underneath his sullen exterior was a young man who didn't want to be a part of his family's legacy. It was fun to see characters from previous novels make an appearance. I greatly enjoyed this story, but it's the next Kittredge brother I can't wait to read about: grumpy sheriff Zack. Bring it on!

I cannot express enough how much I love Harriett. I love being in her head and knowing her rationale for the things she does and says. Harriett is unapologetic and tells it like it is, but never to be mean-spirited. Jensen, on the other hand, seems to never speak to his true mind. He goes out of his way to hide who he really is and how he really feels. Jensen talks a lot, but doesn’t say much at all.

Of course, Harriett and Jensen are absolutely perfect for one another. Harriett calls Jensen out on his BS, and Jensen keeps Harriett a bit off-kilter so she has to rethink the things she “knows” about herself. I couldn’t get enough of these two. Especially when Harriett would show a bit of vulnerability and Jensen would go from jokester clown to solicitous guide with her. While I greatly enjoyed their first kiss, both parties made me smile and swoon during their first foray into sex with each other. Harriett was just so Harriett, and Jensen was just so darn tender.

If you can’t tell, this story gave me tons of butterflies and warm-fuzzies. The only real issue I had with it was the descriptions of Jensen’s demeanor. I understand the author making sure she gets her point across regarding the persona Jensen is careful to project to his family and everyone else around him. I have to say, it got quite repetitive after a while.

I’m not at all happy with the way Jensen’s siblings often treated him. Of course, Jensen himself is mostly to blame for that. At least his brother Zack seemed to see through most of his smoke and mirrors. I loved his sister in The Last Real Cowboy, so found issues with how she acted in this book. That sort of inconsistencies can rankle at me, I’ll admit. None of that took away from how much I was fully absorbed in this story and really looking forward to more from this series.

All Night Long With a Cowboy by Caitin Crews is the second in the Kitteridge Brothers series and features Jensen Kitteridge and Harriet Barnett. Jensen is a happy-go-lucky, laughing womanizer. A different woman every night. Nothing serious, not even a suggestion of it. Meanwhile he is running his family's ranch. Harriet is a librarian: no boyfriend, no decent looking clothing, but totally sure of herself and what she wants. Totally straightforward. What she wants from him is a little bit of help with one of her students: Aidan Hall. Yes, one of those Halls. His assistance changes Harriet's life and Aiden's, all for the better, surprising everyone in town.

What I like about Caitlin Crews' romances is that are no extreme plot twists: no being chased by the mob, or a crazy ex-husband, no kidnappings or shootings. All of the drama and angst comes from within. It is all emotional. Jensen has been wearing a false face for years and doing a good job of it. Can he let go of it and be himself? Even for her? Harriet has no experience with men or love or sex. She is in way over her heard, but she is strong. Strong enough to love him from afar. That's all the closer she can be, for her own good. It was a heart-wrenching story. Fear for all of them is embedded deep. There are so many ways it could all go wrong. There are so many ways they could be hurt: Jensen, Harriet, and Aidan. Such a gripping and strong story. Loved it!

While Jensen plays the laid back slacker that people expect from him. Do people underestimate him sure, but he uses it to his advantage. However Harriet the local librarian needs his help and she is willing to walk into the local watering hole.

Harriet needs help with her summer school kids, and they want Jensen. She doesn't understand why, but when she finally talks him into it and sees him with the kids, her plan just might work. Aiden is one of the troubled kids in her class, and Jensen finds himself helping him trying and fight the stigma of his last name, which Jensen knows a lot about.

I am at a loss on how to review this book. I liked the beginning even if it was a little slow to start. I liked the banter between Harriet and Jensen. Harriet was tenacious, and Jensen was hiding a lot of pain behind his carefree attitude. I really enjoyed the story with Aiden and seeing the scared boy fighting to be given a chance to change his destiny. I also really liked the ending and seeing how both Jensen and Harriet grew and opened up.

My biggest problem with this story was not only was Harriet a virgin which is my least favorite trope (more like despise) all the things I don't like about this trope happened.

With that said aside from the middle the beginning and the end was enjoyable.

I received an arc for review from the publisher via Netgalley. All opinions are my own and given freely.

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story.

All Night Long With A Cowboy is book 2 in the Kittredge Ranch series. It's a stand alone book but you'll have characters from other books in the Cold River, Co series from Catlin Crews. This time we have Jensen Kittredge, the 2nd son and most laid back of the family. Jensen thinks if he laughs first and loudest then people will like him. He's got guilt for miles and insist on punishing himself, forever it seems. Until he meets Harriet Barnet the high school librarian. Tow more unlikely people you'll be hard pressed to find. Turns out Jensen has a librarian fantasy, about this particular librarian. They each break every rule they live by and it's a difficult road to an HEA. I like Jensen but wish he'd stop being such a big kid sooner. Harriet is just plane odd and she knows it too. I never would have thought of making a romance of them but then I'm not a writer with a vivid imagination.

Enjoyed the opposites attract scenario; not a fan that Jensen was a typical ladies man before meeting Harriett, but they are cute together and have good chemistry. Harriett is the librarian type and Jensen is the charming cowboy type; Harriet asks Jensen for some help with a problem with one of her students. Both Jensen and Harriet have some things from their pasts that keep them from fully connecting to people, so they both try to deny the attraction and emotions between them. I liked Harriett’s quirkiness, and Jensen does have his charms. I wasn’t a huge fan of what the obstacles the characters have to face, but I did enjoy the overall story. Plus, there’s a bit of good spice between Jensen and Harriet! Overall, an entertaining read!

Jensen Kittredge was known around town as dumb and saw everything as a joke. He was also known and wanted by the ladies in the town. Harriett Barnett is the librarian who is very serious and now has a class of students for summer school. One student in particular needs help and she is determined that she and Jensen would help him and show him his worth. As these two are total opposites it was fun watching the attraction towards each other work it’s magic. You will learn things from his past that fill him with guilt and feels that he is unworthy of happiness. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

All Night Long with a Cowboy is the second book in the Kittredge Ranch series. Jensen and Harriet were wonderful characters and an amazing couple. Not only do opposites attract they can fit together and become the perfect for each other couple. This was a witty, entertaining read that I couldn't put down. I just couldn't wait to see what would happened next.

I must admit that I liked this book SO MUCH BETTER than the first book in the series - and I liked that book also. That just shows you how much I truly loved this book.

This is the story of Jensen, the 2nd oldest brother that is known for his “love them and leave them” mentality and the fairly new high school librarian, Harriet. Harriet is as transparent as they come - what you see with her is exactly what you get. Jensen on the other hand uses humor to mask his pain and he also willingly allows the entire town to view him as a “dumb jock”. Harriet is the first female to see through him and the immense feelings he has for her scare him to death.

I love stories like this and this one was very enjoyable. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

A childhood tragedy left Jensen Kittredge with no small amount of guilt and the feeling he owes the world repentance. to the town he's the happy go lucky, fun spirited cowboy without a care in the world.. To everyone's surprise, it's Jensen that straight laced school librarian Harriett Barnett seeks out, insisting the he's just the person she needs to motivate her rebellious class of summer school students. Try as he might, Harriett refuses to take no for an answer, so Jensen reluctantly agrees.

Harriett finds Jensen infuriating, exasperating, aggravating and she can't stop thinking about him. Jensen just has fun trying to get Harriett to relax. In trying to help one particularly troubled student, though, Jensen sees a reflection of himself leading him to take a hard look at his life. As they spend more time together, Harriett begins to break through the mask Jensen has built around himself.. She's determined to lead him away from the dark of his past into a bright future with her.

At first glance this appears to be a story of opposites, but as we get to know the characters we find they each wear a mask to protect themselves. Maybe, behind those masks they aren't so different after all. While I did think that constant repetition of Jensen's guilt about the past, and Harriett's dwelling on her differences were a bit too much and tended to slow the story down. Still, I really enjoyed this small town romance and look forward to visiting Longhorn Valley and the Kittredge family again.
