The Wedding Dilemma was such a fun read! This was my first firefighter book that was also a rom com as well as my first book by this author and I was not disappointed!
Tamsen is an artist who is a bit accident prone which I guess works well if you want to meet a firefighter, and that is exactly how she meets Parker. Their attraction is instant but of course Parker can’t act on it while on a call. As luck would have it, they do meet again, but at their parents engagement party! Nothing like finding out you are going to be step siblings to add to the drama.
Parker and Tamsen had chemistry that wouldn’t go away no matter how hard they tried, and I like that it was Tamsen who was the one to push for what she wanted with him. There are some steamy scenes and I don’t want to give too much away, but you may find yourself googling “passion paintings.”
I really appreciated that it doesn’t take long for them to both realize they want more and that the conflict that they have isn’t really long and drawn out (that’s a let peeve of mine).
While you will mostly find yourself laughing at the situations Tamsen gets herself into and the book is generally light hearted, there are a few emotional parts and my heart rate definitely went up with a fire call, but that is part of what’s great about firefighter romances. I’m hoping for more books about the rest of the crew!

This is one of those books that is enjoyable from the beginning to end. Lots of sass and hot romance. Great story.

I’ve read a few books by Mariah Ankenman and she has become a favorite. Her latest, “The Wedding Dilemma,” is another great read. Parker and Tamsen are a womderful couple and I had so much fun watching them fall in love. The two have a hilarious first meeting, and soon after they discover that Parker’s mom and Tamsen’s dad are planning to get married. Suddenly they have to navigate their new circumstances and decide how to handle their attraction to one another. The characters were all so well written, and I was completely invested in Parker and Tamsen’s story. There were a lot of funny moments, along with some steamy ones as well. I definitely recommend this book and am looking forward to more from Mariah.

A great romcom from this new-to-me author. An untrusting fire fighter meets an accident-prone restaurant server/art gallery intern, and the hilarity begins and doesn't let up. There are a lot of tense situations as the two try to fight their attraction for each other because their parents are about to get married. I really enjoyed Tamsen and Parker throughout the book. I found myself chuckling at Tamsen's nervous ramblings and the mutual flirtations, as the steamy situations finally get the best of them. Neither is looking for a commitment, but sometimes love happens when you're not looking for it. I will be looking for more from this author. I received and read an ARC of this book and voluntarily wrote this review.

I really enjoyed this read! Tamsen and Parker may have an untraditional relationship but it works. Parker is the hero firefighter, determined, enjoying life and the ultimate protector. Tamsen is quirky, a bit accident prone and brought out the laughs! I love the way they meet, I found myself smiling as their story progressed and the heart that was brought into the story. I'm also hoping we get stories of their friends as well.

Tamsen is an artist who find herself in quite the predicament and in order to get herself extricated it will require the fire department. Although she may be attracted to one of the firefighters the humiliation factor of the experience alone is all she needs to convince her that their paths shouldn’t cross again.

Parker has seen many things in his career, but nothing could have prepared him for Tamsen and the situation she found herself in. He may be attracted to her, but he never expected to see her again let alone to find out that their parents are marrying each other. Let the fun begin!

Although for different reasons both Tamsen and Parker have had front row seats to the devastation that love can cause, and it isn’t a road they want to go down. There is no denying the chemistry and connection between them but between their views on love and Parker’s need to protect his mother it is going to be a bumpy ride.

Since the blurb got me chuckling already, I requested an arc for The Wedding Dilemma. Having read The Best Man Problem and The Roommate Problem already, I knew that this one would probably also be cute, funny and hot. And it certainly was! Tamsen is the chaotic artistic type, who-more than often- creates havoc without meaning to. Easily distracted or totally zoned out on one of her projects. she has some emergency assistance needed on more occasions than she can count. And her latest antics have gotten her stuck in a plaster cast. When she is rescued by a hotter than hell fireman, she is mortified when she meets said guy again -at her father's engagement party: to his mother!
Parker loves structure and stability. But he can't seem to get the cute little artist from his mind, who he rescued a few days ago, until it appears that she will be his new stepsister. And thus a big no-no.
When Parker's mother tricks him into organizing a wedding shower with Tamsen, Sparks starts flying. But making out with your new stepsister-to-be, while investigating whether her father isn't after his mother for her money and preparing said shower may be a little bit much for Parker.
So much for order and routine. Because with Tamsen you never know, which disaster she will be heading for next. A funny, cute read. Perfectly for a fresh spring day to enjoy the sun. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me an advanced copy of this book in exchanged for an honest review

Mariah Ankenman romances never seem to disappoint and I love that she included a content warning at the beginning of this one, I wish more authors did that!

Her writing is so fun and always makes me laugh in addition to all the warm fuzzy feeling that romance novels give you. I’ll even end up craving some sort of food while reading her novels…this time chocolate chip cookies. I don’t even like chocolate chip cookies but she describes them that good!

I absolutely love Parker and not just because he’s a sexy firefighter or the fact that he’s a cinnamon roll in disguise, but because he never makes Tamsen feel bad about the things that everyone else gives her a hard time about. He just lets her be herself and supports her. I don’t think we see that enough in media so I love when I see it.

The ending was an emotional rollercoaster that had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t read fast enough to keep up with my desire to see how things were going to work out.

Overall it was a fun lighthearted romance novel that was a joy to read. I highly recommend it!

Mariah Ankenman delivers another light, fun romance with her signature humor! Tamsen and Parker's meet-cute is adorable and unique and their relationship follows the same trajectory. What's not to like? You've got a hot firefighter, a feisty artist, forbidden romance, steamy scenes and a sweet HEA!

This was everything I hoped it would be and more!
I’ve been in a reading slump lately (plus moving is really chaotic). I haven’t read a book so fun and immersive in a long time.
Tamsen is a breath of fresh air. She is unapologetically herself and she kind of reminded me of the heroine in The Roommate Problem (another Mariah Ankenman book). The shenanigans the characters find themselves in are hilarious and unique. The chemistry between Parker and Tamsen is off the charts. I couldn’t wait for them to finally get together! I also enjoyed the forbidden element their relationship had, it added something different and caused great conflict.
I can always count on this author to deliver a great romance. If you’re interested in a unique romantic comedy give this a try!

The Wedding Dilemma by Mariah Ankeman a fabulous five-star read. This is number one in the Mile High Firefighter series and I can’t wait for more, this was funny and light-hearted with enough drama and passion that it keeps it fresh. Tamsen is so great, her passion for her art, and the way that she will do anything to fit it in her life, and I had a soft spot for her as I am also super clumsy. But as Tamsen can attest sometimes being clumsy brings the best out, like meeting hunky firefighters. Even if they don’t turn out to be who you expect. Parker was strong and true to himself; you could see that he was only trying to look out for those he loved. This was a great story and I adored it, I can’t wait to see who we will be meeting next.

A sexy romcom. Tamsen, lovely name, is a bit of an accident waiting to happen and an artist. Parker is the hot fire fighter who rescues her. The story keeps telling one funny tale after another as Tamsen has to be rescued from one mishap after the other. The author also user the inner voice to great advantage to bring humor to many situations in the story. The steam level goes way up as they take their relationship into the bedroom for some fun. Falling in love becomes the natural outcome of spending plenty of time together.

She didn’t want to bond with the guy, she wanted to bone him…

Free-spirited artist Tamsen and over-protective firefighter Parker’s first meeting occurs through some highly unusual circumstances, and as it’s under work conditions for him, he cannot act on that instant spark of attraction he feels for her. Little did either of them know that they’d be meeting again so soon, and that it would at their parent’s engagement party!
When Tamsen and Parker get roped into planning a wedding shower for them soon to be married parents, they cannot deny the way that they feel. The chemistry here is off the charts. You add in some fun flirty banter and the story is hot! Although they would be future stepsibling the relationship does not feel so forbidden. This set up just adds a fun twist with some push-pull that keeps the tension running.
The firefighter elements and personal histories that they must work through makes this an even more delightful read. I was captivated by their story and loved the way they move forward and learn to trust each other. Giving their instant connection some more depth.

I really enjoyed the story overall though; it had a few laugh-out-loud moments. They have some fun and flirty moments. And I only have to see the word ‘firefighter’ and I’m 100% interested, because fire fighters are sexy! Overall, this was a fun and flirty read with low-drama, highly entertaining. This story really has the perfect formula for a summer read; a hot couple, extra steam, and humor. The Wedding Dilemma was a charming romance read. Perfect for vacations or to sit poolside with. This is the perfect book for summer.
The Wedding Dilemma was my first read by Mariah Ankenman, and I am excited to dive into her next book.

I've been on a dark romance kick and this was a great palette cleanser. Fun, flirty, and steamy. I loved how once these two characters hooked up they couldn't get enough of each other.

Tamsen calls 911 after realizing she's forgotten a step and is now stuck in a plaster cast. Of course, when the firefighters show up they are all HOT. To add to her embarrassment, she has to quickly inform the firefighter cutting her out of the cast that she's naked under the plaster. Did she just see his eyes heat?

Parker can't stop thinking about the artist he helped. He's always been professional no matter what he's seen. But with her, he felt a spark. So imagine his surprise when at his mother's engagement party, her fiance introduces him to his daughter, Tamsen.

Now their parents want them to plan a joint wedding shower. Forcing them to spend time together, their chemistry is undeniable. So they agree to have a little fun together in order to get it out of their system. What could go wrong?

Thanks so much to Entangled, the author and NetGalley for this ARC to review.

*cue audible screeches*
AHHHHHHH OMG THIS BOOK. Mariah, I could kiss you right on the forehead (with your permission obvi 💁🏼‍♀️) for writing this.

I do not say this lightly: The Wedding Dilemma may be my new favourite meet-cute of all time ever. Meet Tamsen Hayes: an accident prone artist who makes a fateful mistake that brings dreamy firefighters into her home. Including the most gorgeous man she’s ever met: enter Parker Kincaid. Who she finds out later is her soon-to-be stepbrother?! And he totally accidentally saw her boobs while rescuing her from one of her dumb mistakes?! But it was totally insta love for both of them (Parker will deny this fact though)?!However will this play out... 😉

TLDR; Tamsen might be one flame that Parker can’t put out. For multiple reasons. 🔥🔥🔥

You don’t need to wait long to meet Tamsen and Parker (😍). TWD will be released on MAY 17!! So hit that one click preorder and then kick your TBR to the curb ASAP. Dear church friends and my mom if you even bother to read my captions: don’t read this, but if you do, say nothing.

This review was brought to you by my insomnia, and completely and utter adoration for this book. Oh and I guess a million thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for gracing my kindle with an eARC so I could give my honest opinion on this title.

🔥 Huge thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for provided a EARC for me to read and provide my honest thoughts!

Let me start off by saying the cover matched with the title of this book is what caught my eye! Like ohh why is there a undressed fireman having a wedding issue??!!

This is a forbidden romance that is sexy, laughable, steamy, laughable! Has sexy fireman, oh and did I mention laughable!! In the best way possible I couldn’t stop smiling and giggling to myself! I DEVOURED this book in one sitting! In the back of a car driving home from a wedding! I was nauseous (tmi) and I could NOT put it down!
Tamsen (beautiful name btw) is such an awkward oddball! She’s funny, creative, and not afraid to speak her mind! Or maybe it’s all word vomit you never know for sure with her. ❤️ And Parker? Is fearless (mostly), funny, and a hottie fireman 👨‍🚒. They met in a hilarious fashion, sparks fly, they can’t stop thinking of one another and then BAM they met again, at their parents engagement party! They are going to be step siblings! 😮 This is a trope I wasn’t sure how to feel about. Like I’ve avoided many books with that little trope but this one! It was handled very well, the chemistry between Parker and Tamsen is undeniably from the first met! I loved how the two picked on each other but also pushed each other to do more, to not give in. I loved these two!

This is my first book from this author and it will not be the last!

Oh my goodness this book had the cutest meet-cute ever! Parker is the self-assured broody firefighter and Tamsen is this breezy artist. They have an instant attraction but the wrench in their romance is of course that their parents are getting married!! Literal hilarity ensues as Tamsen proceeds to get herself into all sorts of situations and Parker is always there to catch her. Although the attraction is instant the slow build of the relationship was awesome.

They were adorable dancing around the situation and trying to keep themselves in check. I loved their sweet getting to know you situations. This book was full of big laughs and super sweet and steamy moments. The story had such a fun arc following the preparations for their parents wedding and working together on the big party. Once the floodgates opened and they started to acknowledge their feelings everything got that much better. The secrets and the hiding from others and each other added a layer of complexity to everything that I really enjoyed as well.

I hope there are more firefighter romances in our future because that firehouse seems to be overflowing with options!!

I wanted to like this book but the writing was lacking. There wasn’t anything about the storyline that grabbed me and pulled me in. Thank you to NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 - "With you… it’s always exciting." Stars!

The Wedding Dilemma was my first read by Mariah Ankenman, and as a start to the Mile High Firefighters series it was a pretty decent one too.

Little did either of them know that they’d be meeting again so soon, and that it would be through their parents… who are newly engaged!

I didn’t really see the blossoming romance between these two as ‘forbidden’ they are both adults and their parents are both approaching their twilight years, so its not like we are talking teens sneaking around at home or anything. I really enjoyed the story overall though, it had a few laugh-out-loud moments and both characters were easy to like and empathise with. And I only have to see the word ‘firefighter’ and I’m 100% interested, so lets just say after reading this one I’m eager for more from this series.

"Been thinking about me lately..?"

A great and engaging low-drama, highly entertaining read, and I look forward to reading more from the author in the future!
