This isn't normally the type of book I would go for, but I did enjoy reading it, and I liked the nods to the 80's.

2.5 stars

This was an interesting, mystery read, but a little disappointing. It's pretty clearly set up in the synopsis to be an alien mystery - but it isn't. It contains an alien element but it is basically just a side story in my opinion. So, I didn't get out of the book what I was wanting or expecting.

It had that "small town" vibe which I quite enjoyed, until Boggs went visiting homes and had to keep introducing himself as the sheriff.

Also, not sure if this was the final copy but there was an absolute abundance of typos.

Love the characters in the book. There's a lot going on in the book abductions, murders, panic
I would have liked this book more if I had known to read the first book in the series.
I didn't read the part about animal mutilation. Even if it's fiction it still bothers me so I skipped over it.
Excellent science-fiction story. Thank you Netgalley for providing advance copy of this book

Couldn’t finish, maybe it was just me but, this story was hard to fully grasp and difficult to follow

A very appreciative shout out to #NetGalley, ##BooksGoSocial, and author #DJAdamson for the ARC of #IntoTheStorm.

This book is apparantly the second in a series, but I didn't know that when I read the book. You see, I like to go in blind. I almost NEVER read any info beforehand on the book except the basic plot. That frees me to go in with a clean slate. Whatever I feel and learn about that book is something I want to be able to tell you about in my own words.

There were places in the book I felt a bit lost but after realizing this was the second book everything immediately fell into place.

I ended up loving the book. The characters are plentiful but your main characters are a few people from a small town in Iowa.

The story begins in the aftermath of what you find out later was an EF4 tornado. There are folks injured and missing, with very tired emergency workers trying to help the best they can.

There are 3 young teenage boys that go missing and Sheriff Boggs is doing his best to find them, but it seems things just keep happening at a pace he's having a hard time keeping up with.

When an unannounced fed shows up, at first Boggs is suspicious and doesn't really want his help. If I'm honest this fed was acting kinda strange. Eventually Boggs decides he can trust him, at least to some degree, and then things really get moving.

This was an excellent book, I loved the writing style. My only caution would be to read the 1st book first. As soon as I get a chance I'm gonna read it too!

You can buy this book at your favorite retailer on 4/20/21. #HappyReading!

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

I'm a total sucker for all things strange--Big Foot, conspiracies, monsters, ghosts, aliens, etc. So, when I came across this cover with a police car being tailed by a flying saucer, I had to crack it open.

This was a pretty good read. My expectations were initially low because books in this genre are rarely very good. This novel was fast-paced, suspenseful, funny, and, most importantly, steeped in early '90s 'X-Files' awesomeness.

If you're looking for a story of high strangeness and Mulder-esk humor to get lost in this summer by the pool, this is your ticket.

This book takes us back to to late 80s and the obsession that time seemed to have with aliens and alien abduction. Think of the time that warped itself into the X-Files and the like. This was funny and fast paced. Not my usual genre, but I did enjoy it. Enjoy your nostalgia!

I’m not a sci-fi or fantasy reader but really this is more character led. I would recommend you read it but I’m a bit of a cynical reader and this isn’t my genre but all being said I did enjoy it
