Loved this book! While I was reading it, I felt a little sad that I hadn't heard of so many of these brilliant women. But thankfully, we now have this book to introduce us to women who accomplished so much. Women like:
Rosalind Franklin (DNA pioneer), Emily Pauline Johnson (Canadian-Indigenous Poet), Noor Inayat Khan (British resistance agent in WWII), Alice Ball (African-American chemist), and many others.

We have such incredible, diverse women throughout history who have done extraordinary things. I'm glad we finally have books to celebrate them!

Original Sisters
By Anita Kunz

A book every human should have in their library. I learned so much about so many women whose talents, achievements and historic feats have been lost in history. This is one good thing that has come out of the pandemic. Anita Kunz started researching about these women - drawing them and writing about their lives and achievements. This is truly a fascinating work of art and history.

Wow. Buying multiple copies of this gorgeous book for holiday gifts. The illustrations are exquisite - by artist Anita Kunz who began these illustrations during covid - as is the way the book is set up - not chronologically - Amanda Gorman is included and following her page is one for Olympe De Gouges, an 18th century French social reformer. This book should be left out on display for others to page through. It’s lovely and important and wonderfully unique. I want to read more. And I will. Heartfelt thanks to Pantheon for the advanced copy. Breathtaking!
