Katelyn Loveland, is looking for a fresh start, and comes to the edge of the Appalachian mountains. Katelyn, swerves to miss hitting a deer and finds herself on the edge of a cliff, too scared to move, because it could send her to her death. Sheriff Cooper Robinson comes upon the scene and stays with her until help arrives. Cooper feels an instant connection with Katelyn, and hopes to ask her out when he returns her cell phone to her.
Both Katelyn and Cooper are surprised to find each other at Cooper's family dinner. Katelyn, is there to meet her boyfriend Gavin's family and Cooper is Gavin's brother.
Things are going to get real awkward for sure.

This is a new series which starts off on a cliff hanger - literally. I really enjoyed this book and read it very quickly as a result. I love the characters and I am looking forward to enjoying further books about the various family members as the series progresses.

I enjoyed the sub plots of the main characters family 'dramas' and the process that heroine had to go through to come to terms with the past. This book has themes of honesty, dealing with the past and family.

I got this for free in exchange for an honest review. I recommend reading this as it is a a very easy book to read and get caught up in. It's definitely worth spending money on.

I enjoy Denise Hunter's books and am a sucker for books set in the Appalachia region. I really liked this book right from the start. The banter between Kate and Cooper was fun. I was pleased with how the author wrapped everything up and look forward to the rest of the series. This would make a perfect weekend or beach read.

The relationship and chemistry between two of the characters starts in chapter 1 and doesn’t really let up through the whole book. The complications in that relationship keep the plot moving through all sorts of obstacles, plot twists, broken relationships, you name it. I had a hard time putting the book down, and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the characters, as well as the town of Riverbend Gap, which I would love to visit some day (thankful it is based on a real place!) It was fun to learn more about the Appalachian Trail too.

There’s lots of good insights into how a person’s past affects their present and future; how honesty is important, but so is timing in sharing things honestly; and what true family really is.

Once again Hunter has created a very attractive story world, and gives it a flavor different from her other story worlds. I look forward to the next book in the series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I very rarely rate books 5 stars but this book was an exception. It kept me up late into the night so I could finish it and find the resolution. Denise Hunter created likable and relatable characters, who you could cheer for even as they struggled through their romance and lives.
If you've read other of her books, this reminded me of her Chapel Springs novels, perhaps because they're my favorite of the series she's written. I am very excited to read any future books (I hope Avery and Gavin get their own stories!) in the series.

Riverbend Gap by Denise Hunter. Likeable and well developed characters in a refreshingly warm and credible romance story. Kate and Cooper are a delightful couple, deserving of all the love and happiness they can find. . Looking forward to next visit to Riverbend Gap. Curious as to how Gavin and Avery will deal with their issues.

Thank you to Denise Hunter, Thomas Nelson Publishers, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

A sweet Christian romance set on the Appalachian Trail.

Katelyn is headed towards a new life - and the love and family she's been seeking. Except a huge mishap throws a curve in her plans. She's rescued by handsome deputy Cooper and their paths keep crossing. You can feel their relationship growing.

All the characters have secrets that end up coming out one by one. It's a wonderful, small town romance - but the will they/won't they get together is annoyingly dragged out .

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Denise Hunter knows just how to pull you in and make you want to visit the places that she writes about. I loved reading about Katie and Cooper. They both have their issues to work through but with God and family beside you it's possible to mend fences and move on.

Riverbend Gap...what a beautiful little town for a weekend get-away. I can't wait to go back in April 2022 and see what happens to Cooper's sister Avery.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

A new series from Denise Hunter with a new family and set of siblings.

I really liked the setting of the small town of Riverbend and the connection to the Appalachian Trail and its history.

Katie and Cooper meet under extraordinary circumstances when her car veers off the road and ends on hanging on the cliffside. He happens to drive by and helps rescue her. The time they have talking and sharing in this situation makes for a strong bond between them that's hard to deny.
When they find out she's actually his brother's new girlfriend, they try to stay in the friend zone despite the mounting attraction.

I'm excited for the rest of the series.

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

You can’t go wrong with a Denise Hunter novel and Riverbend Gap proves that! This sweet romance novel consumed my time because I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. Cooper and Katelyn meet under stressful conditions and it’s love at first sight. The only problem? Katelyn is already dating Cooper’s brother.
Riverbend Gap keeps you on your toes and has a few plot twists. It is entertaining and made me smile as I closed the book for the last time. I would highly recommend this novel and this author!

Thank you NetGalley, Thomas Nelson Fiction and Author for the chance to read this amazing love story.

Oh my gawd!!!! Riverbend Gap was an absolute joy to read!

The story had me turning the pages quicker than I could blink. It was honestly the best story I've read in some time! So that right there deserves a five star rating itself! Just saying!
I was hooked from the first page... And that's saying something.
I usually have to go through several different romance beginnings before I find the one that holds my attention. But this was lit!
The writing... Hunter has a new fan here. This was my first book by this author and it damn sure isn't going to be my last! She is phenomenal! Her writing is sleek, spell binding, intriguing. I just loved it! its different.
The characters... Katie and Cooper woah can you say sparks flying?!
I just love these two and their connection.
Overall this is for the books. I haven't enjoyed a good romance like this is a very long time!.

So I can't thank y'all enough for the chance to read and review this outstanding copy!
I will post to my Goodreads and Bookstagram accounts closer to pub date!

RIVERBEND GAP by DENISE HUNTER is a romance novel with a great story, interesting characters, a lot of depth and a subtle Christian message.
Katelyn Loveland, after growing up in foster care, longs to belong to a "real" family. She has come to Riverbend Gap, which is where her birth mother lives, to decide whether she is going to reach out to the woman who rejected her and her brother Spencer. She meets the Robinson family through her boss and best friend, Avery, who is part of this very happy blended family, and starts dating her brother Gavin, who also has a great deal of baggage. When she meets the dashing sheriff's deputy, Cooper Robinson, she is terrified of hurting Gavin and losing favour with the family who she looks upon as her own. Cooper also has hang ups from the past and is afraid of being unable to have a lasting relationship in case he turns out like his father. They all have decisions to make.
That is all I am going to tell you for fear of spoiling the read for you.
There are a lot of twists and turns in this very enjoyable story, which I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
