This is one of the best books I’ve read this year. Edge of your seat stay up all night to finish book. I highly recommend this to anyone like me who loves the genre. The more frightening the better for me. Be careful of oddballs with money. Great read

Sarah needs a job due to exorbitant expenses. She become a nanny for a upper crust family but something is weird. Just who is the nanny position for? Collette was off her rocker and I knew something was off with the other members of,the household. I have to admit the twist at the end was a nice touch and I didn’t see that coming. It’s a creepy, deranged read.

Sarah and her partner are deeply in debt. So, she takes on a job as a nanny for a wealthy family. This is not your ordinary family and this nanny position is unlike anything one can imagine. I loved this one.

There are twist and turns mixed with manipulation and the need to get out of debt. Readers of twisty thriller with shocking conclusions will devour this one.

Crazy and rewarding Don't pass this one up

Thank You NetGalley and Bantam for the ARC, in exchange for my honest review.

What a suspenseful, edge of your seat plot, which such a twist at the end! I totally did not see that coming! Sarah Larsen applies for a nanny position in a very prestigious neighborhood. It's got great pay and great hours, but she has to sign a NDA. After just a couple days, Sarah realizes she is way in over her head, but signed a contract and sees no way out. I could not put this book down! Wow!!

It's hard to write a review without spoiling the book! The plot was refreshing, not the same tired stories that are constantly rehashed, And that twist! I didn't see that coming at all! It is a little outlandish and will require you to suspend your belief a little bit but goes well with the plot of the novel. The only thing I wished for was an epilogue, I turned the page and was sad there wasn't more to read on how everyone progressed a year or so from then. I would recommend going into this book blind and not reading any reviews or spoilers before hand. Looking forward to reading more from this author

Thanks Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine

Wow! This book was quite the ride. That last turn was a doosey. This is one of the best books I’ve read in awhile. This book shows what a lot of money and crazy will equal. Don’t answering any job ads.

“Patty didn’t like it at first when I asked to cut her hair,” Collette explains. “But when I told her it was for the new doll she was so excited. A toy to match her in every single way.”

Rebecca meets Gossip Girl in this thriller that makes you keep huge secrets locked away and where playing pretend can drive you insane. It can even lead to death.....

This was pure insanity and very well written. One where I couldn't put it down because I was desperate to know what was going to happen next and to see what in the hell was going on. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was thrilling, riveting, and downright scary as hell.

Do you ever get that feeling as if you are being watched? The hair on the back of your neck stands up? Maybe goosebumps appear on your arms for no reason? That is this book in a nutshell. It makes you paranoid.

Even though I liked this book and it gave me severe trust issues, the shocking twists weren't very shocking because I guessed the major ones. They were laid out there clear as day and I picked up on them automatically. I don't know if that's because I read a lot of thrillers and watch a lot of twisted horror films but I knew from the second she went to that job interview what was going to happen. And that really bums me out. I want to be shocked in the best possible way.

Nanny Needed was a twisted tale that you'll never forget. You'll never imagine how far people will go to get what they want. Even though I knew what the outcome was going to be, this is still a decent read. A read that I'll recommend to all thrill readers. If you love the darker creepier side of things, then this is your book.

I appreciate NetGalley and the publisher providing me the ARC of Georgina Cross's Nanny Needed. Cross did a really fine job of world-building in the book. I had suspected the big reveal fairly early in the book and it was confirmed when the name "Stevie" was used. Overall, the book was okay. The ending felt a bit rushed after the rather drawn-out journey to get there. And the reveal of the whodunnit was somewhat reminiscent of the ending of every Scooby-Doo cartoon I watched back in the 70s. I do think that the plot and reveal may have been more convincing if the time setting were not in the present-day. Twenty years ago was 2001 and I have a hard time finding the doctor's excuses to the family believable for that time.

What a surprisingly excellent book! I was worried going into this book as the nanny trope for thrillers has been done time and time again but this was so good and different. Sarah as the main character was likeable and you were rooting for her, which always help in a book. The plot was twisted and dark and it was hard to decide how to feel sometimes. The book kept me hooked and on the edge of my seat. Every time you thought a reveal came too early the book would take you on another wild ride and it worked so well.

This book is so twisted, I loved it. Spoiler alerts***

A woman sees a poster for a nanny needed in a gorgeous penthouse home. The job seems easy, and glamorous. She instantly clicks with the mother at the interview, she’s met all of the staff, everyone except the child. Her first week of work she spends time with the mother because the child is sick. Until she tries to assist with the bath and finds that the mother is giving no one a bath, there is no child.
As she struggles to accept this family’s secret, and weighs her options of staying and leaving, she feels for this poor hurting woman and stays. Fast forward to the annual birthday party, where she must invite children for a dead child’s birthday party and her mother has the largest breakdown of all, only then does the truth come out. The truth that explains the closeness between her and the mother.

Sarah and her boyfriend, Jonathan, are down on their luck and struggling to make ends meet when Sarah spies an ad for a nanny job. When Sarah accepts the position, she has no idea about the horrors that await her with the Bird family in their enormous penthouse.

This is Georgina Cross’ second novel, and the second of hers that I had the pleasure of reviewing through NetGalley. I’m thrilled to report that just like Yhe Stepdaughter, this story is full of twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Cross does a great job of character voice as well as pacing. I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt- I really wished there was an epilogue or some sort of final twist.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bantaam Random House for the opportunity to review this novel in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Having read this this author's books before and enjoyed them, I was excited when I saw she had a new novel being released and I immediately requested for an ARC from Netgalley which was approved. The premise for this book was intriguing, but as I continued through it, I felt it abit farfetched and I almost stopped reading it. However, I decided to persevere for purposes of writing this review, and I'm glad I did because that twist at the end left me gaping!

This was a quick and addicting read. The writing was great and kept me guessing, but I was definitely off and hadn’t even come close to guessing that big and final twist. My only problem with the book was the final confession from Pauline. I know that sounds a bit silly, but it just didn’t seem to fit and made it feel a bit too outlandish, especially since she could have gotten away with it. I also would have liked an epilogue to find out what happened after everything went down.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I highly recommend going into this one knowing as little as possible, if you can help it. With that being said, this book was not at all what I expected! I read it almost entirely in one sitting, and I liked it A LOT, a lot!! I feel like if you read a ton of thrillers, you may find this one predictable. However, I found it dark and twisted and entertaining from beginning to end.

This was unputdownable. I was so intrigued by the story and characters that I couldn’t wait to find out what happened. The incident 3/4 of the way through wasn’t what I expected or wanted to have happen, and I don’t know that the ending exactly satisfied, but still. Good solid read. 3.5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for and advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
