Desires After Dark by MJ Williamz really caught me off guard in a good way. I honestly didn't see the plot going the direction it did at the very end. It was honestly the end of the book at moved me at the honest feeling of what even immortals feel during trials and changes. This was one of the books that's hard for me to rate, because it's raw, it's honest, and it's touching. The plot if about Alex, a vampire, and her driver, Shantay, and how they meet, how they interact and form a romantic relationship, what seems like a predictable plot, turns and goes an unexpected direction. I was caught off guard and in a way, it helped me heal some things in my life too.
