This story was exactly what one would expect for a Hallmark story. First and foremost, it's always clean and wholesome, so it's the same for all readers of Romance. South Beach Love is light-hearted and has an engaging storyline that explores the themes of family, friendship, and love.

Tony an Sara are both chefs helping with their niece’s quinceañeras. They are old family friends as well. When they start spending more time together romance sparks. Enter a reporter who pits them against each other in a competition. This was such a feel good Hallmark story. It’s a lighthearted read perfect for an escape.

Filled with Cuban culture and localisms, the story weaves the love of family, food with the pursuit of professional success and love. It was very interesting to learn about the different customs of the families which were very well blended with the story itself. The Cuban culture was another character,

This book was so out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately I was not a fan of it and I think the audiobook wasn’t for me neither - there were certain issue. Overall, not my kind of story.

South Beach Love by Caridad Pineiro was a delicious, sweet romance between Sara and Tony.

I enjoyed both Sara and Tony as characters. I loved the past relationship they had shared when they were children and teens, along with their love of cooking as adults. I also loved all the characters surrounding them. I admired all the love and respect among everyone even if they were not blood related. The story was just so heartwarming.

This has been one of my favourite Hallmark books to date. One, I loved all the food in the story. South Beach is where my dad grew up, and so I can picture it so well. Also, as stated above, I just loved the warmth of this story and the chemistry among the characters.

With how central food was to this book, I was hoping for a few more Cuban recipes at the back of the book. Of course, this does not affect my rating, but it would have been a nice touch.

The narration by Frankie Corzo was very well done. I knew who was narrating and/or talking the whole time and she had a very pleasant voice to listen to.

I really hope to read more books by Pineiro in the future. I really hope to see Hallmark make this into a movie. Also, bonus points for Sara being spelt with no “h.”

I received an eARC from Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

The representation
and friendship in this feel-good romance is 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 I wanted and more!

This book was such a happy surprise! A good clean romance with a focus on family!

I love how they talk about food so much and are chefs. I really like the idea of childhood friends coming back together and realizing they both had a crush on each other and that it can now become more.

The way that they speak about quinceañeras and Cuban heritage is beautiful. Something that especially hit close to home was that the families all grew up together in the neighborhood and everyone was kinda running in the same circles until they left Miami and came back. Everyone knew everything about each other, and I just love that closeness within the community. Even the journalist wasn't trying to do anything more than her job and what she was assigned. And when she realized what she was doing was harming those around, her she did her best to try and sidestep that mistake.

The narration was amazing, and the accents were perfect. For those that weren't fluent in Spanish, the words like 𝘵𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴, or other Cuban dishes weren't perfectly pronounced. But you could really hear the difference when one of the characters with Cuban heritage said that same word with the correct pronunciation. I just think it's small details like that that made the narrator fantastic.

I really love how it ended and I'm so excited to know that there's room for spinoffs! I cannot wait to continue this book series!!

There was something about cooking romance. This was a traditional hallmark romance, but not set in a small-town. It did provided more cultural aspect of the world. The two dueling chefs makes for an entertaining listening. I very much liked this was a bit different using children's birthday parties as a way to showcase the food. Tony and Sara both wanted to be featured. Life was moving in on both of them for different and the same reasons. Narrator Frankie Corzo gave a good listen. It did not sound like just another reading of a story. Thank you.

Love the book and the narrator was excellent. this was my first audiobook. Listening to Sara and Tony's love story. Tony is at a crossroads of his life so when returns home for his niece's quinceañera he see his life differently. Everyone is excited to have him home , his family and even Sara. Sara have always had a crush on since she was teenager. Now that he is back in town old feelings resurfaced. Sara his also helping her niece with her quinceañera. Both chefs face challenges as they realized they have become rivals in a game they want no part of. Both nieces come up with a plan that not only create on quinceañera but an opportunity for Tony and Sara to work together and share the spotlight. This was sweet and engaging. I can visualize the food and scenery. Recommend. Looking forward to Javier's story.

This book was the perfect passenger on my commute to and from work. The characters were developed and interesting. The story had multiple plots which made the overall book interesting and believable. The audio quality and presentation by the readers was well done and easy to listen to. The readers became the characters in the story.

A fun, entertaining story from Hallmark Publishing. I enjoyed the two main characters and their development throughout the story. I enjoyed the rivalry that develops and centers around chefs battling in the kitchen. I also enjoyed the cultural inclusion of Cuban traditions. Plenty of laughs, smiles and heartwarming moments to compel me to recommend to others who love sappy Hallmark romances. The narrator did well but was not my favorite male voice. Overall, still enjoyable, and recommendable.
I received a complimentary audio copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given.

In South Beach Love, two chefs are catering the quinceaneras of two young girls that are rivals at school and sports. Tony Sanchez is an established chef of a New York restaurant. He came back to Miami to make his niece's celebration the best it can be. Sara Kelly is the owner of a new restaurant in Miami She isn't familiar with this quince traditions but her Cuban sister-in-law teaches her the meaning of all of the traditions. When Tony was growing up in Miami, his best friend was Sara's older brother. Sara has grown up since he last saw his best friends little sister. There is a spark between the two when they meet. A local paper had=s decided to feature one of the celebrations in the paper. The paper decided that a competition between the 2 caterers will generate interest in the event. However, this competition complicates things between the chefs. especially in the romance area. This is a fun story with lots of drama. I recommend this story. This was only the second audiobook that I have listened too, i liked this format however when the male was speaking, it sounded like a female trying to sound like a man.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio and it had me listening and rooting for both of them to find their way. Tony has come home for his niece's quinceañera and Sara and volunteered to cater her one for her niece. This wouldn't be bad but a reporter is out for blood when she is assigned the story and tries to twist them against each other. There has always been something between them, first friendship and now maybe something more but with all the goings on, including the grumblings with the girls and then the make up of the girls, this is a wonderful story! Hallmark does it again! I was entertained from beginning to end.

Wanted to like this book, but it just didn't do it for me. I kept trying to go back to it, but it was a struggle to the end. Guess it's okay if you just want a really light read and have extra time to spend. Not something I would read as a first choice.

Tony and Sarah grew up together and Sarah had a crush on tony since she was 10 years old. Tony comes back to Miami to visit and ends up staying to help with his nieces party. The two start a relationship only to run into your standard problems as they are pushed into a competition against one another by the local newspaper. as they are both well know chefs who are doing a party for there individual nieces a rivalry begins. In the end the two pit differences aside and start a romance. The book is well written I listened to the audio book and enjoyed the narrator. Basically this book follows the Hallmark guidelines including a cheesey romance but I found it enjoyable enough if you like that kind of thing you will like it. If you don't you won't.

I'm so torn about this book. I loved the story. The plot was great and the chemistry between the two main characters left me giddy. This is perfect for a Hallmark movie and I look forward to watching it once it's made. What I didn't like? The narration- specifically when she did the male voices. Really hated that. It took away from the experience for me

This was exactly what I wanted and expected from a Hallmark published book. It was cute and funny and had just enough drama to add to the story but not enough to take you out of the story. I loved both main characters, as well as all of the side characters and the families. They were cute and the addition of the culture was fun to listen too. I definitely want to find/try some of the recipes. I definitely plan on recommending this to customers.
