Wow. First off, this book is so pretty. It is a great beginners guide and goes into detail more and more as the book goes on. I really like that they have the tracking page for how you're feeling during the sun in different phases as well as the page to draw your own birth chart! They have an index in the back that's very convenient. Another cool reference is the compatibility chart for quickly checking if you have a match. There's so much information in this book it's great for anyone interested in any part of astrology! But seriously.. the artwork is beautiful.

The Ultimate Guide to Astrology by Tanaaz Chubb is an excellent guide to the introduction to astrology. The book is divided into 3 parts. The 1st part deals with learning birth charts and the basics of the zodiac signs, the 2nd part deals with the sun and moon within the signs, and the 3rd part deals with the planets within each sign. This book has a lot of information simplified and would be very easy for beginner to follow. The illustrations and charts are absolutely beautiful and informative. Happy Stargazing!

This is visually a beautifully informative book on all the star signs. Its laid out incredibly well and easy to follow. Beautiful pictures that really do complement the excellent information.

Highly recommended and I will definitely be ordering copies as gifts for friends.

Thank you Quarto Publishing and Netgalley.

This book was definitely very interesting and newbie-friendly! The artwork was beautiful and it used language that was easy to understand if you know little to nothing about astrology. I personally am interested in learning more about astrology, but I don't think it is a tell-all of what a person is like or what "journey" they're on. Although there were a few parts that made me roll my eyes, I still learned a lot about astology, so this book did exactly what it was intented to do.

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me a free digital Advanced Reading Copy (ARC e-book) of this title. I really enjoyed it! The Ultimate Guide to Astrology by Tanaaz Chubb was a great read. I love books about astrology and I am proud to add this to my collection.
There are 12 signs in the zodiac, each being represented in your chart in by the twelve different houses. For example, your rising sign rules your first house and describes the way you present yourself to the world. Your sun sign, the zodiac sign you typically look for when reading your horoscope, describes your inner ego, while your moon sign rules your feelings. From these components, an astrologer can develop a thumbnail sketch of your personality, and by knowing this hopefully you can improve your life. This book does a great job of introducing readers to the different meanings of the houses and signs, and showing us how we can use that knowledge to better our lives.
It was interesting to learn about the different zodiac signs and their meanings. From understanding your planets and signs and how they impact your chart, this book covers so much of the complexities surrounding astrology. I really loved the illustrations in the book, and thought there was so much useful information for beginners and experts alike.

I am such a huge fan of Astrology and have just finished a course on Astrology and Magick - and i'm even more intrigued and excited by the idea of Astrology since finishing. The more knowledge I have, the more I want haha!

I was lucky enough to be allowed to read an early electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley. I like how this book was laid out slightly different to other books I have read on astrology. I like how it focusses on the planets and then all of of the other details follow, but the way the book is structured is via the ruling planets. This is a different approach and I'm always up for looking at things in a new way.
The books makes looking up certain elements and dipping in and out of very easy. However, I'm not sure how useful this book would be for beginners to Astrology who are wanting to find out the key basics - rather than just looking up specifics.
The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and I love the striking larger images at the start of each chapter.
I also liked the charts to track your own thoughts/feelings - think this would come in very useful.

Overall I liked this book, and as I said it's original in it's structure - but I'm not sure how easy this book would be to follow for those new to Astrology.

After seeing this book was 90 pages longs, I was really skeptical. While small to be considered an "Ultimate" guide to astrology, this book packs in a lot of information. You could understand a lot about your chart and the fundamentals of astrology using this book. I did not like that it considered a planet in a sign and in a house to be one of the same. These can speak to very different aspects. I would have liked for this to be separate to understand how a person's houses can be influential. I would recommend this book to beginners who want to understand the basics, but I would recommend more in-depth books for the advanced interpretation of a chart.
