A lovely story, offering a great message. Doma, from Ladakh, is visiting her friend Veda in Mumbai. Doma says that she likes the city, but misses the mountains of her home. Veda then takes her friend on a journey through to city, ending in a trek to the top of a high building via the stairs, to show her the view from the top of a Mumbai "mountain." The bright, colorful, and delightfully detailed illustrations, including a fantastic bird's eye view of a busy street, bring this story to life, and although the story is about Mumbai, the message of looking for the beauty of your surroundings and trying to see a place through a different lens could apply to any place. This would be a fabulous addition to any library, be it public, school, or home.

The best part if this storybook were the beautiful pictures of the city of Mumbi! Incredibly descriptive and so many vibrant colors. It will visually catch a child's attention.
