I read a lot of second chance romance, mostly because I'm a sucker for second chances and redemption. The Cowgirl's Sacrifice certainly falls into that category. Kate and Jess are both likable characters, and they have good chemistry. Most of all, I didn't feel like I had to work for it. What I mean by that is I was convinced of the feelings between this pair, and I was rooting for them almost immediately. They do have some things to work through, but the journey is my favorite part with the happy ending being the icing on the cake. I haven't read this whole series yet, but I plan to remedy that, and I had no problem following the storyline here. In fact, I read it in one afternoon. It's a story of faith, forgiveness, family, finding your place in the world, and moving forward.

Kate Rainbolt has spent ten years on the rodeo circuit. She has been hurt from time to time, but nothing like the injuries she is sporting now. She returns to her family ranch and is looking forward to taking on the job as foreman on ther brothers' ranch. However, Kate is too late. The job has been given to her ex-boyfriend, Jess McNally. Jess is back in town as his father is recovering from a stroke.

Will Karen not only be able to deal with seeing Jess on a daily basis, and what's more, report to him? Will their previously powerful feelings for one aother come back? Kate knows why she left ten years ago, Jess cannot help but wonder why she did and whether or not she is back to stay.

There is a lot of give and take between Kate and Jess, especially as they are forced to confront their past feelings and what is happening between them now. I really felt for Kate and the injuries she suffered and how they impacted her life now. What is more is Jess's story with his mother was quite touching and that made this story all that more impessionable. Family connections and faith were powerful catalysts in this wonderful story.

Many thanks to Harlequin Love Inspired and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest. opinion.

I really enjoyed this story, even thought I have not read the previous ones in this series. I will be going back and reading the previous stories though. Kate Rainbolt was a rodeo clown, who had almost been killed protecting a bull rider. She returns home to the family ranch to heal and hopefully remain as the Ranch Foreman. When she gets home, she finds out that she waited too long and her brothers have hired, Jess McNally, her ex who wanted to marry her ten years before. Now at a crossroads and not knowing what to do next, Kate has to find her place in her family and the world.

Kate is a no nonsense, brave, spirited woman, who has some baggage she must come to understand and move on from. She loves her family, but is keeping a lot of secrets from her brothers. Jess, is a great character. He has returned to Rebel because of his mother's illness. He also has baggage when it comes to his father and decisions he made years before. He is also still very attracted to Kate, but he is afraid that he won't be able to trust her. Forgiveness of self and others comes into play in this story. This is a wonderful Christian romance that has themes of moving forward, forgiveness, reconciling with your past, finding your place, honesty and the power of prayer. I really enjoyed this story and hope to go back and spend time with the other Rainbolt siblings.

I really enjoyed the previous book in the Hearts of Oklahoma series, His Holiday Prayer, The book focuses on Kate Rainbolt who is offered the job as foreman at her family's ranch.
Jess McNally, her ex-boyfriend, has accepted it although her brother offered it to her.

What should Kate do? It's harder for her as she's recovering from a rodeo accident. I felt like I got to know the characters in this book well, and that's what I liked about the previous one too, because I got to know the characters well.

I feel Tina Radcliffe has a great eye for detail.

The Cowgirl's Sacrifice is a story of loyalty, facing the past and working out what you want.

I have loved books three and four in the series and I want to discover the first two as well as other books by Tina Radcliffe.

Thanks to Tina Radcliffe and Harlequin for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
