I really really enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure if it was going to be what I was looking for but it turned out to be the best thing.
It's asbolutely bursting with information, about your feet, shoes, foot care, stretches and exercises to try for good foot health. I had previously been worried about over stretching my feet by doing foot exercises because I work on my feet all day, but I was pleasantly surprised and the amount of information was just great. Plenty of tips in this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and would welcome this book to sit on my shelf to refer back to when I need it!

Very, very impressed, this author clearly knows her stuff.

With thanks to Netgalley for allowing me to read this free ARC in return for an honest review. This book has helped and changed my attitude towards my feet so much, it's been a pleasure!

The Foot Care Handbook wants readers to take better care of their feet. It starts with Foot Basics, then covers Stretching and Strengthening, Foot Massage, introduction to Foot Reflexology and ends with various Foot Problems. I suffer from planter fasciitis and was happy to see the book gave the same stretching and exercises my foot doctor recommends. I just need to remember to do them.

Several drawings of feet, with tendon and bone structure are included to help explain issues. There are also several recipes for foot soaps, ointments, oils etc. to help care for your feet. I'm not a do it yourself person so I would have liked some lists of trusted brands or products of similar type things that could be easily purchased. I found the information useful and easy to read. Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for a temporary ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great beginners guide to caring for your feet. It's clearly written and structured, covering foot care, massage, reflexology and common ailments (what it is, treatment, prevention and seeking medical advice). It is a one-stop shop with superb illustrations and make-it-yourself receipes for foot scrubs, foot sprays, powders etc.

If like me you are interested in finding out the best way to care for your feet then this is the book for you. Easy to read, understand and follow.

This handbook is a guide to natural foot care. It is thorough and informative. A couple of areas could be strengthened. When covering nail care, illustrations of proper techniques would be helpful. Each ailment and all care suggestions are accompanied by make it yourself foot balms, oils, and scrubs. Not everyone has access to, or wants to create their own care products. A list of quality products would be helpful.

The author briefly covers reflexology. This information needed to be more detailed or omitted entirely. What was covered was not very useful.

The tips and advice in this book are worth the purchase. When put into practice, it will cost less than a pedicure and provide care for years to come. 3.5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the eARC copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is a great resource for people interested in improving their health and wellbeing. I really liked the message of the book to start healing yourself from feet up. Our feet take so much abuse, wear and tear over the years, and I am guilty of abusing my poor feet while wearing super sexy heels, well, not anymore. This handbook is full of easy to do exercises, recipes for common maladies and reflexology guide. I received ARC from NetGalley, and will be purchasing Foot Care Handbook as soon as it is released, so that I can continue the exercises and try out some of the remedies. Highly recommend.

A handy volume on common foot ailments and how to cure or help them. Tourles is a reflexologist, massage therapist, and aesthetician, so her solutions are more home remedy than medical advice. (But she encourages the reader to seek professional medical advice if her initial suggestions aren't successful.) This book covers foot massage techniques, recipes for various scrubs and oils, exercises, and information on common foot complaints. Many pen-and-ink illustrations. A helpful book for midsize and large library collections.

This is a fantastic book all about how important your feet are and how to properly look after them. To be honest I'd never though a huge amount about the health of my feet other then to complain when they get sore or dry skin. After reading this beautifully laid out book I have learnt invaluable information and practical tips on how to achieve wonderful foot care and health. Absolutely recommend to anyone who has feet!

This is a book that I may have not bought initially but borrowed from the library and then bought as it was so informative that I would definitely dip in and out of.

I buy all sorts of balms and potions for my feet, but to be able to make them from natural ingredients would be amazing. There are plenty of recipes for all sorts of ailments and massage in this book that I will definitely be trying.

I really enjoyed this book, and felt it was really informative and not too medical or technical to keep the reader interested.

It’s broken into sections; foot basics with a daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly regime to care for your feet. There are some really good stretching and strengthening exercises with clear pictures; some I already knew through having physio but some new to me.

There’s a good section on massage and very interesting section on reflexology and parts of your feet.

The common foot problems section I think is quite relevant to most people suffering at least one ailment (they are lucky if they don’t!!).

Overall I really liked this book and would make a lovely gift with some foot treats for a good friend.

Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for giving me an advanced copy I really enjoyed this book, and will most definitely dip in and out of it and recommend it to friends and family.

A really interesting and informative book all about how to look after your feet. I loved the mix of facts with useful diagrams, treatment and prevention suggestions with recipes to help each foot condition.
An eye opener of a book and a useful reminder we should look after our feet more than we already do.

Confirming what i always thought, your face shows how your feet are feeling. Look after them, wear well fitting shoes, pamper your feet as you do your face and they wont let you down. This book explains it all and includes reflexology, massage and other foot conditions some that are linked to medical conditions. Written in simple language and gives enough information to diagnose and find a remedy for feet problems. Thank you #NetGalley for the copy to review.

Great little book on taking care of your feet. We too often think nothing of them and they are the support for our entire body. Stephanie gives us a good foundation on the basics of foot care, exercise, and even massage. She offers "recipes" for creams and oils that may be helpful. Finally, she addresses many of the foot problems people acquire and what can be done about them

Stephanie L. Tourles has written a book focusing on remedies for healthy and happy feet. There are five chapters, starting from foot basics to foot fitness, foot massage and reflexology. the final chapter deals with common foot problems. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on foot fitness because the author provides exercises for healthy feet along with reasons for why those exercises are necessary. They are all quite simple that one could do while engaged in other activities such as watching TV or reading. In addition, there are recipes for homemade foot refresher and massage oil.

The chapter on foot massage was another favourite, along with her recipe for cocoa butter foot balm. It is very easy to make (even I could make one using lavender oil), smells amazing and my feet feel very soft when I have used it in combination with her massage technique.

I really like this book and would buy it for myself as well as a gift for friends/family who would benefit from the foot wisdom in this book.

I love the layout of this book.
Starting from the beginning and really giving a full introduction to your feet and feet health.

The stretches are easy and can be done while watching your favorite show or drinking a cup of tea.

I am super excited to make some of the foot balms, and it is good to know pedicures are justified!

I feel like this is a book you could go back to time and time again!

Big thanks to the author, Net Galley and the Storey Publishing Publicity Team for letting me review this book for my honest opinion.

This book is REALLY interesting and helpful. I had never realized how important my feet were and how poorly I treat them as I complain about how much they hurt me every night. This book is a must-have for anyone with feet, or who knows someone with feet. I really like all of the illustrations on how to do everything. There is no guesswork here, you CAN get your self care on!

I received an ARC from NetGalley, but my opinions are all mine.

Once again, I have to apologise to my long-suffering feet for being cramped into shoes, having to endure long hours supporting me and not being pampered often enough for doing a grand job.
The Footcare Handbook gives you the best possible tools to get your feet into a happier place. It is crammed full of strategies like suitable footwear, massage, moisturising, exercises aaand it gives you loads of recipes for natural remedies, potions and lotions, scrubs and creams - all to care for your feet.
The book is organised into logical sections, all with “action plans” and clear and comprehensive images. General care of feet is followed by dedicated chapters on specific foot problems with special mention of diabetes feet.
This is a definite “will buy” and very possibly a last-minute bulk order before Christmas for friends with long-suffering feet.

"If our feet could speak, they'd probably complain, and loudly".

Stephanie is clearly passionate about foot care and very experienced in the field. The book delivers exactly what it says on the tin and more. It's short but deeply informative and covers a wide range of topics I dread to admit I've never even thought to consider before. I'm also glad I now have a book written by a professional encouraging pedicures and reflexologist's. You don't need to tell me twice ;)

The book explains root causes of problems as well as exercises and solutions to overcome and reduce damage. It truly reminds the reader how important your feet are and why caring for them is integral.

Great work, 4/5.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
