A little gem of a book for foot care. Stephanie Tourles has done her research, and The Foot Care Handbook: Natural Therapies for Easing Pain, Healing Common Ailments, and Maintaining Healthy Feet really delves into a vast array of areas regarding foot care.

I enjoyed the pictures that were included and the nice layout for each reading section.

The foot massages and stretches are easy to do, and quite rewarding too. Although I don't have many ailments, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about different ailments that can impact our feet, and Tourles includes thoughtful background information, prevention methods, healing methods, and a variety of recipes for various DIY ointments or treatments.

As an avid hiker, I appreciated Tourles section on blisters and I found some lovely recipes for foot balms, soaks, and other ointments that have left my feet feeling absolutely heavenly! (I followed the patch test guide Tourles at the end of the book. I recommend you do too) And I don't know how many of you have a foot roller - but I had not known about foot roller massages until reading this book...let me tell you...my feet are so happy now, lol.

Whether you are suffering from foot ailments, or are looking to maintaining healthy feet, I definitely recommend reading this!

I docked half a star for including the Your Foot Care Cupboard at the end of the book, as opposed to at the beginning. It would have been really nice to see this section up at the beginning where Tourles introduces the feet to the reader. I think the information on patch testing, basic equipment, and so forth would have been an excellent addition to the introduction. It felt oddly placed at the end of the book as it's a component of understanding how to use the recipes and methods in the book.

I docked half a star as I would have liked to have seen a more detailed bibliography or reference section, however I appreciate the generalized Recoures section that was included.

Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for providing me with an ARC. I've left this review voluntarily.

I must admit this is not a book I would normally consider, but was given a preview copy. I have had such a lot of fun with it and gained much useful and interesting information from it. It is a book I read quite quickly but have since dipped in and out, particularly into the exercise pages. A must for anyone with foot problems and if, like me you don’t suffer, it is one of these books that is just a delight to have in your library.

What a gem! Who would have thought a whole book on feet could be so enjoyable and inspiring? I’ve picked up lots of tips to pamper my feet as well as gained an understanding of how to look after them as they are very deserving of care and appreciation. As the author so rightly say, “ Happy Feet = Happy You”.

I have Suffered form foot pain very recently and this book covers the majority if not all of most people’s foot concerns. I really like the overall style of the book.
It is a very factual book with a section specifically for diabetics which I appreciate as my brother is a type 1 diabetic so this is something that I can recommend to him.
Every section has hints and tips as well as treatments you can follow at home. I will be trying some of the foot baths as well as some of the creams/rubs you can make yourself!
Very easy to read, I love the bit about the foot and the hand going the same way. Made we laugh trying it.

Well written and very informative. I like the scrub, etc instructions that are provided. As I suffer from 2 of the things listed in the book, I will be trying the scrubs provided. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on this review.

Always been a fan of reflexology and fascinating how all the different areas of the foot related to different parts/organs in the body. Been diagnosed with certain health conditions from reflexology. Also great health tips on looking after our feet as we do often tend to neglect our feet. Would of preferred to have this book downloaded to kindle for ease of reading.

Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the ARC of the Foot Care Handbook by Stephanie L. Tourles. Luckily for me I do not have severe foot issues and/or problems. I do have family members and friends with issues, so I did find this handbook interesting and helpful. I am also interested in the science behind going barefoot and reflexology. The recipes for foot care message and treatments was also helpful. I will definitely try some of these care tips out!

Informative book. I have plantar facilities, rheumatoid arthritis and hyperhydrosis so my feet issues are plentiful. This book provided a lot of good information.

I found this book really interesting and will definitely be coming back to this book . I like how the book talks about the history, how it tells you to look after your feet and what to check in your feet daily, weekly and monthly. I very much into reflexology and found interesting how it’s shows you a picture of the foot and all the areas of your feet that mean different things.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.
