The title lived up to this book. Fun and a good lighthearted read.

Dante broke Lucy's heart, when he ran off to Hollywood to become a big star. Lucy has all the makings of a spinster librarian, and isn't looking forward to seeing Dante, who's coming back to town to make his next big film. This is a sweet romance that will keep you turning pages and will leave you with that warm, fuzzy feeling more than once..

This is a sweet, fun, easy-read, second chance romance set in small town USA. It is well written, with fun characters, a great plot and it is a super easy read.

Lucy is a small town gal from Mistletoe, Maine who has become the town's Librarian. She loves her town and all of the amazing hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. This season however, her ex Dante is coming back to town to film a movie. This will be the first time they have seen each other in nine years. She's vows not let this ruin her Christmas season.

Dante is looking forward to coming back to mistletoe. He knows he screwed up nine years ago and needs to fix the mistakes he made with both his family and his ex Lucy. He hopes in filming this movie in Mistletoe, he can take the time to both fix his past relationships and show Lucy how much he still loves her. Will bringing his movie project to Mistletoe help him fix his past and find true love again?

Read this beautifully written, fun, sweet story of romance, loss, pain, forgiveness and Christmas Spirit to find out if Dante and Lucy can have their second chance!

A delightful Christmas story! Calhoune writes a wonderful second chance romance with all of the requisite yearning and misunderstandings woven in. No Ordinary Christmas is far from ordinary, indeed!

Second chance romance has long been one of my favorite tropes. I love the hope, redemption, and belief that we can get things right if given another opportunity. This book pairs second chance romance with all the merry and bright feelings of small town Christmas celebrations in a way that magnifies both and feels incredibly special.

Dante left his hometown in Mistletoe, Maine for Hollywood and left Lucy behind as well. Eight years later, he is a big action star and the Sexiest Man Alive, and Lucy is the town's head librarian. Now he's back to film a movie.

For me, what makes a second chance romance work is when the couple really grows and digs in to whatever caused the problem in the first place. This book goes deep. It also has emotional scenes that acknowledge that Christmas isn't an easy time for everyone. And it has an excellent cast of secondary characters (who I have been mentally pairing off, as this is the start of a series).

I really enjoyed this, both as a Christmas book, and as a romance.

Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. These opinions are my own.

This is a charming second chance love story. I enjoyed my first visit to Mistletoe, Maine (and look forward to returning). The characters were delightful, the story was heartwarming, and the book was the perfect thing to put me into the Christmas spirit!

No Ordinary Christmas is a cute holiday book that definitely reads like it could be a Hallmark movie. Lucy was a very relatable character and if you are looking for a book to put you in the holiday spirit, give this one a try.

This is an adorable small-town, second-chance romance!

Set in Mistletoe, Maine (adorable!) their hometown hero returns from Hollywood to film a movie and mend a few relationships with those he left behind, including his high school sweetheart, turned town librarian Lucy.

This book absolutely delivers everything you could want in a holiday romance. The festivities, decorations and charm definitely put me in the holiday spirit! It is a little predictable but will warm your heart better than any cup of cocoa. I look forward to seeing what author Belle Calhoune has in store for future books in this series, I see so many potential love stories in Mistletoe!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an advanced copy of this and the opportunity to share my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The writing on this one didn't grab me at all, but I'm certain it will land beautifully with many readers.

did not enjoy this book. It was all about him which I disliked. I didn't like her for always giving in. Not a good holiday story for me.

No Ordinary Christmas is Belle Calhoune’s first in her Mistletoe, Maine series. Mistletoe is a quaint New England town, the kind of place where people stop and chat awhile when passing each other on the sidewalk, where every wonderful Christmas tradition is celebrated (town tree lighting, ice skating, and more), and where the characters have hearts as rich and warm as a cup of cocoa.
Lucy Marshall is the town librarian, fighting to save her library. She’s a sweet woman who set a few dreams aside when her best friend and true love Dante West, fled town a decade earlier for the call of Hollywood, leaving her behind in a state of hurt and confusion. They had plans. He abandoned them…and her.
He’s back in town, now a huge movie star, to direct his first movie. He’s hoping to make amends with Lucy. She hopes she won’t run into him, but has to spend time together in order to save her beloved library. Can the magic of Christmas heal the hurts both Dante and Lucy are holding onto, and can she forgive him so they can have a future together? You won’t regret reading to find out!

Thank you Forever for the Arc to read and review.

This is another cozy Hallmarkesque Christmas love story about a librarian and a celebrity hometown boy. If you like this kind of book, then you’ll like this one. A little to saccharin sweet for me, but I can’t fault anyone but me for that.

"No Ordinary Christmas" is like reading a story pitch for a Hallmark holiday movie, before it's been converted to screenplay.

It has all the makings of sweet happily-ever-after... Small town charm. Struggling local business. Returning hero looking to make amends for past wrongs. A range of side characters with their own special blend of humor, quirks, heartbreak and redemption.

I could see Lucy and Dante (who I mentally cast as Kat Graham and Columbus Short, in case you were wondering) playing out the story so vividly in my mind that I almost forgot I was reading an ARC in 100* heat in August. The story became so real that I almost felt the chill of winter in Maine!

I highly recommend you add this book to your holiday reading TBR stack. It's the exact kind of escape you'll need while contending with all the stress and prep of the holiday season.

There are a few things I love in this world. Christmas, Romance novels, and SERIES! I was so exited to get my hands on the first installment of The Mistletoe, Maine series! No Ordinary Christmas introduces us to the town of Mistletoe and some very interesting characters! Now I want to find a town just like this and work in the library!

Love reading Christmas books! I always wanted to see New England and the way these Christmas festivities are described, it would be very awesome. This book didn't disappoint. It was a good story about remembering the past but also being able to let go and forgive. It was easy to relate to what a lot of the characters were going through and their struggles. A great read that had me hooked from page one.

Thank you to NetGalley for an e-book copy to review. This novel would make a great Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie.

I love the premise the author, Belle Calhoune, had of renewed love and making up for past mistakes. I love any romance in which the main character is a librarian. Lucy really loved her job and her small town of Mistletoe, even though there are a lot of gossips walking the sidewalks.

First love is always the hardest to get past. Lucy held a lot of grudges against movie star Dante when he left Mistletoe for the bright lights of Los Angeles (or is it the bright lights of NYC?). Dante slowly worked his way back into gaining Lucy's trust.

This is a clean romance, with only kissing action. I wish the author had taken the characters further, but it is a nice, wholesome romance story.

I definitely want to read the next book in the series.

This is a sweet, romantic story that is like a Hallmark movie in a novel. It's a story centered around the Christmas holiday that explores second chances in family relationships, friendships, and romance. The characters are appealing and the story flows well and has light touches of humor as well as some touching moments, making it an enjoyable light read.

Whenever I read a Christmas story that takes place in a small village that goes all out at Christmas time, it makes me want to move there!!! Belle Calhoune does a wonderful job with this story and describes everything so fully and beautifully, you can actually picture it all in your mind.....even the smells!!!

Dante and Lucy's story is a second chance romance filled with heartbreak, forgiveness, trust, love of family, humour and of course, Christmas. Well written, clean and has delightful characters. Now I want to go put up my Christmas tree...in August! lol

I am so thankful I chose to read this wonderful book by the new to me author, Belle Calhoune. I love finding new authors with a talent for writing and that can bring characters to life. This is a second chance romance and my romantic heart enjoyed every word of it. There is a car accident #trigger, and I am a horrific, near-fatal car crash survivor that suffers from PTSD and this book did not bring out any stress, or emotions, or triggers for me at all -- and I'm so happy about that. It was such an enjoyable read. Christmas and love, a cozy, perfect setting in a small town -- what a lovely combination. The theme was wonderful and engaging, along with the characters. I will be searching out more from Belle Calhoune!

Dante and Lucy were the couple everyone in their small hometown thought would get married and live happily ever after. They were best friends growing up and started dating in high school. The last thing anyone expected was that Dante would leave for California without even saying goodbye leaving behind a broken hearted Lucy. Now, he’s back filming a his movie in Mistletoe Maine, and trying to repair broken relationships with the people he left behind. Lucy doesn’t know what to think or even do. A lot has changed between the two, but will Lucy be able to listen to why Dante left? Is there any hope of forgiveness and a possible reconciliation?
Once, I started this book I didn’t want to put it down. It kept me on my toes and left me swooning. It would make a great Hallmark movie. If you like friends to lovers and second chance romances this story is for you.

I graciously received an advance e-copy from Netgalley for review. All opinions are my own.
