*Thank you Netgallery for providing me with the opportunity to read this e-ARC.*

This is what I needed to have read when I was younger. This book shows girls, black girls, biracial girls and so many more that it is okay to dream big, and it's possible to make those dreams come true. It was a wonderful read. Love these books because they help little girls and older ones to believe in themselves.

First of all, I LOVED THIS! From Gabby Douglas to Issa Rae, I enjoyed seeing how different black women impacted the world. I saw people I knew and even people I didn't, I could relate to them! Especially as a young black girl. I love this because as a feminist myself, I don’t notice many black women being represented in these novels about feminism. I don’t see our accomplishments and how far we’ve gotten. I’m glad to see that, and definitely in a children's book!! It’s so comforting to know that young black girls will be able to grow up knowing that they aren’t alone.

The art style is GORGEOUS on black skin! To be 100% honest, I got so excited when I started seeing people I even saw on my TV shows! Issa Rae, Marsai Martin, and much more!

Glad to see people write about us, and in a positive way. It's upbringing, and positive. As mentioned before, it'll make young girls feel more confident and proud in their skin.

Amazing book and I can't wait to be able to buy this as a print copy for my younger sister.

The latest volume of stories of inspirational women, turns its focus to the Black community, pulling together 100 incredible women and their stories. Collated by four Black authors, edited by a Black woman and beautifully illustrated by over 50 Black illustrators, this is a fantastic addition to the series. I've bought a few of these books for my god daughter, and I'm not sure who loves them more - her or her mother! I'll definitely be getting her a copy of this for her birthday in a couple of months to add to her library.

What an incredible collection of amazing women and showcase of black girl magic. This book features 100 black girls and women (including trans women) who made a difference. Some are big names that most people know but many are lesser known, and I like that this book didn't just pick already famous people. It includes modern-day heroes as well. I like that this book is inclusive of trans and biracial women, and doesn't exclusively feature people from the US/UK. I also liked that almost each illustration was done by a different black illustrator. Overall a great and important book and perfect for libraries across the country!

Having just completed a children’s literature Masters for which my dissertation title began as ‘Black Girl Magic:…’., this was an intriguing book to land in my lap (or e-reader.

I as an adult am tiring a little of these compilation books, and sometimes the juxtaposition of those featured is questionable. However, I know many a child that would be delighted to receive this book as a gift, the illustrations are beautiful and the content wonderfully inspiring.

A beautiful book filled with wonderful tales for young girls to see themselves in every walk of life, from scientist to the arts, from activists to athletes

As always, the illustrations are gorgeous and with the inspiring quotes, each profile looks beautiful on the page!

Thank you to Rebel Girls and Netgalley for an early eArc of the book

Another winner from the writers of Rebel Girls. My daughter (9) loves these books and is thrilled every time we get one to review. We love reading them together and learning about all the awesome, strong, creative women and girls from the past and today. Great job inspiring our youth!

Firstly, I would like to say that this book (and the other Rebel Girl books to be honest) are not just for children. I have learnt so much from the ones that I have already read and I can't wait to continue.

This book is a collection of 100 stories (1 page for the biography, 1 picture) that has been written, editted and drawn by Black Women. Magic leaps off the page, and inspiration swirls through every line and design.

You won't regret reading this!

Another incredible installment to the Good Night Stories family. I'm so glad that this exists and is putting all these incredible stories into the hands of the impressionable children that need to know that anything is possible.

I love this book! This is such a well-researched, thoughtful collection of stories that celebrate Black women and girls. Although there were quite a few women familiar to me, there were so many of whom I had never heard. The sweet spot for this collection is the integration of the past and the present. There is Shirley Chisolm, but also Marsai Martin. There is Issa Rae, but also Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba. The illustrations are also gorgeous and bright and vivid. Although many of them are done by different artists, the book in no way lacks cohesiveness. There is a section for readers to write their own story and draw their own picture, which allows them to become a Rebel Girl! There is a glossary, along with activities to really engage readers in learning and understanding. This is certainly a five star read!

The book is a delightful collection of bitesize biographies of 100 important and influential Black Women, from Toni Morrison, Serena Williams to Audre Lorde. Each piece comes with a lovely illustration and a wide variety of areas of success are covered. Such a valuable addition to this series.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for an arc of this title!

This book is fantastic. The writing is perfect for all-ages. It gives just enough description of each of the incredible women featured to educate the reader and inspire them to do further research on their favorites. I could easily picture this book being used in schools, or read together as a family. Even though it is meant for young readers, I still found it super engaging and learned so much! The illustrations are gorgeous as well. It is so special to see all of the artists’ collaboration efforts to make a cohesive book while maintaining their own styles. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

I loved how the authors named it black girl magic. They turned something that was supposed to have a negative connotation into something that shows how strong and fierce these girls were or are. Every story is different from each other and keeps you hooked because of the different realities every black girl was in. This book reminds us how you can not look at black girls through just ONE lens. There are so many different situations and every black girls world is different

This book contains one-page bios coupled with portraits of each woman. I loved the diversity and the way each bio was written. While reading, I searched up several of the women to learn more about them. I highly recommend this book!

This was my first Rebel Girls book, but it certainly won't be my last!

We love Rebel Girls and this one did not disappoint! My little girl had me read 2-3 stories a night so it took longer to finish! Thank you NetGalley!
