While good, this novel did not hit the spot. I love Meg Cabot. Her books were the core of my childhood and I will forever treasure my experiences reading her books at twelve. However, at eighteen, I find that No Words did not reach my high standards for romance novels. The characters lacked maturity and communication skills. At thirty, the main characters should be able to simply speak to each other. Additionally, I found Jo’s character quite annoying. Specifically the facet of her personality that was the “kitty cat.”
However, the novel as a whole was not terrible. It was, for all intents and purposes, a breezy and light read.

***Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I was very let down by the other Little Bridge books, but was delighted with this one. No Words felt like it flowed more organically and much more interesting characters. The romance was fun to watch unravel - I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope! This book is what I'm used to getting from Meg Cabot. Well written and fun.

If you’re looking for a feel-good romcom, this is it.

Jo Wright is a bestselling author of a middle school level series of books. Will Price, author of adult fiction with notoriously tragic endings, has made it publicly clear that he doesn’t think Jo’s writing is worth reading. When Jo is invited to a book festival on the island where Will lives, she knows she can’t turn it down: the money and the advertising are too important. But her nemesis Will is also in attendance. Over the course of the weekend, Jo learns more about Will the person and a friendship starts to develop.

This book gives you exactly what you’re looking for: an adorable enemies-to-lovers story with a happy ending. I can appreciate when a book gives me exactly what it advertises. I am enjoying this entire Little Bridge series and will look for the next one!

Meg Cabot welcomes us back to Little Bridge Island, Florida in this third installment of her Little Bridge Island Series. This installment focuses on bestselling author Jo Wright who is brought to Little Bridge as a speaker/guest at the First Annual Little Bridge Island Book Festival. Having fallen victim to writer’s block after fellow author Will Price criticized her bestselling series Kitty Kay, Kitten Sitter; Jo is hoping that a vacation on Little Bridge Island will cure her block and allow her to crank out the twenty-seventh book in her series. She also agreed to appear at the festival because her agent promised that Will Price will not be attending. As it turns out, Will is not only attending the festival, but he is its biggest donor and the person who is paying her stipend! Jo tries to make the best of it but run-ins with Will are inevitable.

As someone who adores Meg Cabot, this book was just another that I will need to add to my collection. Cabot always creates well-developed, diverse, and interesting characters and this is one of the many things I love about her. Jo, her best friend and fellow writer Bernadette, as well as the other authors attending the book festival are unique, interesting and give us a glimpse of what life is like for authors in general and while attending festivals. The writing style of this book is also typical of Cabot’s witty and engaging style. She always makes her characters feel familiar and relatable and although I am not a writer, I found myself relating to Jo in more than one way. This is a fast-paced, feel-good contemporary romance; however, there were a few plot choices that seemed out of place to me. Overall though I enjoyed another trip to Little Bridge Island and can’t wait to go back.

A huge thank you to NetGalley for giving me access to this book by my favorite author!

This is a cute enemies-to-lovers romcom about two authors who have a past with one another (and not a very good one considering what happened either). I loved the scenery of Little Bridge Island, and I enjoyed that the characters were authors but I found the story to be a little awkward. The heroine, Jo Wright is childish and uses weird cat phrases throughout the book. I mean I get it, she writes a story about a cat for tweens but using those phrases within the story made her seem a lot younger than she was. This really took away from the story for me.

If you're looking for a breezy and light beach read then this one might be your cup of tea. It's not memorable to me but it passed the time and made me laugh a little.

I loved so much about this book, pretty much everything except the heroine. As a child who was raised on Princess Diaries, I will continue to read and support anything Meg Cabot writes.

Jo Wright, an international best seller of YA stories about a teenage Kitty, decides to attend a book festival on Little Bridge Island. Plans of enjoying herself in the sun are ruined when she sees her archenemies, fellow writer, Will Price, at the airport on the island. Throughout the event, Jo tries to avoid him, but soon learns that there is more to this man than his harsh words and popular books with bad endings. In typical Little Bridge Island fashion, we get to enjoy the wonderful people who live and visit the island. The story made me smile throughout and get sucked into the characters’ lives. I am truly invested in what happens on Little Bridge Island and I am looking forward to reading more.

Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Jo is a successful writer - 26 Kitty Katz adventures and an animated cartoon! - with massive writer’s block. After fellow best selling author, Will, disses her books very publically, Jo just wants revenge. She hesitantly flies out to an author con on Little Bridge Island, where Will lives. She can’t pass up the huge appearance fee - she’s trying to move her aging dad to Florida, after all. At the author con, though, Jo realizes Will actually isn’t all that bad…in fact, he may be the one to help her find inspiration to finish Kitty Katz 27.

As a longtime fan of Meg Cabot, I thoroughly enjoyed this story! I have read the other Little Bridge novels and enjoyed this one the most. I was only disappointed in the epilogue - I wanted more Jo and Will!

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for this ARC!

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy to review. This is another enjoyable read in the Little Bridge Island series. Meg Cabot is a favorite author of mine and I like how the setting of this series is different from most books I read. It’s a mix of island life with small town vibes. The chemistry between Jo and Will was perfect—expected yet had a nice buildup.

I was swept up in this story! it was an easy, breezy read and I felt that jo’s character was dynamic and lived-in. her hatred towards will seems a little over the top, but the story is overall a delight, and well-paced. perfect for a weekend or vacation read!

Ready to go on a vacation with some of your favorite authors and sightsee a tropical island? Meg Cabot's novel is the right book for you!

Jo Wright is an author of children's books, a genre hated on by popular author Will Price. When Jo receives an invitation to attend a book event on a Little Bridge Island she agrees to go on the chance that Mr. Price will NOT be in attendance. As luck would have it, Will owns this island and is one of the main hosts for the event. With a grudge that won't go away, Jo tries to ignore and/or one-up Will at any opportunity. But will enemies exist on paradise? Or will wrongs be made right and romance soar in the tropics?

Filled with laugh out loud shenanigans, memorable characters and beautiful settings Meg Cabot shines with her latest. Readers will enjoy the relationships formed between main characters and the oddball side characters. While some parts of the plot were obvious, I still wanted to read on and discover what happened at the end of the tale. I encourage lovers of Angie Hockman, Sophie Kinsella and Lindsey Kelk to check out Cabot's latest.

No Words is the third book in Meg Cabot’’s Little Bridge Island series and I sure hope there will be more. If Little Bridge is a real place please let me know because I want to go there. A Florida island that is off the beaten track and unspoiled, full of character and charm, Little Bridge is home to a welcoming group of residents. Each book is a stand alone, some characters featured in one book will be background characters in another. It is not necessary to read them in order.

No Words begins with author Jo Wright being invited to a book festival on Little Bridge. Jo makes sure that author Will Price will NOT be there. You see Will insulted Jo’s writing in an interview he did with the New York Times. The interview went viral. Jo couldn’t make a public appearance without being asked about it.. This made her not go out in public, she has writer’s block and sent her into a tail spin. She harbors a lot of anger and resentment against Will and does not ever want to see him again. For his part, Will feels horrible but he has a horrible case of foot in mouth disease. He constantly says the wrong thing. He can write well but he is horrible at speaking.

Can Will and the residents of Little Bridge arrange an apology and make amends to Jo? I don’t want to spoil anything but this is only a small part of the wonderful story. In this book Meg Cabot has given me an idyllic escape from the dreary winter weather. I feel like I have been on a beach vacation.

Just never got around to this one before the date, sad to say. How are there so many books out, all the time? It’s kind of incredible, really.

This was a fun story about authors at a literature festival. It was kind of neat to read about these sorts of events from someone who actually has some background on attending them as an author! The story was very light-hearted, even when discussing the dark backgrounds of some of the characters. This would have been my only real critique--Cabot seemed to almost gloss over the loss experienced by both main characters and the hardships that were in the past. It was almost as if they were plot devices or just random character descriptions rather than real issues to be explored. But as a fun, summer-style read, this hits the mark.

I've always enjoyed Meg Cabot books and this one is also a fun and enjoyable read . It teaches and shows you how sometimes things aren't always how the appear and people aren't always want we make them out to be . Some times forgiveness had to begin with you forgiving yourself

Love the newest installment in Meg Cabot's Little Bridge Library series. While these books take place in the same world and mention characters that are in other books in the series, you don't necessarily have to read them in order. I have never read a book by Meg Cabot that I didn't love and No Words is no exception!

Jo Wright is the author of the popular Kitty Katz children’s books. When she’s invited to the first Little Bridge Island book festival, she hesitates to accept because best-selling author Will Price lives on the island and she does not like him one bit. Her agent assures her that he won’t be there so Jo decides to go. Guess who’s there when she gets there? That’s right – Will! He wants to make things right with Jo, if she’ll let him.

No Words was a fun, quick read. Meg Cabot is on the board of the Key West Literary Seminar so not only has she attended book festivals as an author, she’s been involved in organizing them as well. I feel like No Words gave me a little inside scoop about the literary world, which I loved.

Will writes Nicholas Sparks-type books (although Meg has said that he’s not based on a real author) and there are excerpts from Will’s book, The Moment because Jo is reading it. Those were filled with really funny, over-the-top melodrama. I loved how she satirized that type of book.

I felt like the chemistry between Will and Jo was a bit forced but overall, I enjoyed No Words. Meg Cabot is comfort reading for me. Her books give me a warm, fuzzy feeling when I’m reading them and No Words was no exception.
