It was so great to be back to Meg Cabot! I adored the LBI stories and this one was no different.
Its a great, fun and simple read that is perfect for the summer and the beach! It was nice to catch up with Molly from previous books as well!

Yo know exactly what you'll get with a MC title, and she delivers with her newest title! This one is particularly fun to read since the main characters are authors at a book convention hosted by a library. Cabot takes the enemies-to-lovers trope, sets it in sun drenched Florida, and give it her trademark charm and positivity.

Jo Wright is a skeptical but realistic writer of the famous Kitty Katz, Kitten Sitter series who gets invited to the Little Bridge Island Book Festival, believing it will be free of her author-arch nemesis Will Price, the dashing and mysterious adult fiction writer who has choice words to say about Jo in the past. The book asks and answers the question - do we ever really know anyone, especially our own enemies?

When I picked up the book, I didn't realize it was the third in the Little Bridge Island series and I think it stands alone on its own as a good book. The dialogue was engaging and the characters were uniquely different, each showing off different variations of authors all mingling at the festival.

This is the third book of the Little Bridge Island series. You didn't have to read the others to enjoy this story. No Words is a light and easy Rom-Com. I haven't read Meg Cabot since The Princess Diaries era. No Words reminded me of her other works, geared towards YA to adult audiences. I liked the slow build from enemies to lovers, as well as the peek into an authors world. What didn't work for me was the inner cat monologue, it felt cheesy. I also still want to know WHY Will said those things about Jo, as that was left open ended.

I’ve read every Little Bridge novel, and I was so excited for this one. The premise is incredibly cute, but that’s about it.

Authors writing about authors seems to be a hard thing to do. So much of this was just not believable. I understand authors have the ability to make a lot of money and become famous, but the idea that two authors being pictured together becomes the number one trending topic on Twitter seems more like an idealized fantasy than reality.

I had so much hope for this book, but I just couldn’t get into it. The main character is a children’s author who cusses in the style of a cat. Literally. She says “Whiskers!” instead of cursing. It was grating and embarrassing for everyone involved.

Jo and Will have a wonderful story that is hidden behind way too much fluff about social media and fandom. The novel itself feels less about Jo and Will and more about the dramatized life of authors as celebrities.

Also, there’s a throw away line about Timothee Chalamet and Harry Styles being spotted on a date that felt like a random fan fiction insert that I just can’t get behind. Sorry.

This book was adorable! I loved reading it and it was a very quick read (I think I read it in less than 48 hours). The book was fun, funny, and very well written. Meg Cabot is a hoot and I loved how she created her characters in this book. I highly recommend this book for someone who wants a light, quick read, and wants to read about a love story. Very cute! Ah, I’m on holiday, which means I get to read what I want to read and, so, of course, I read Meg Cabot because I knew that I would be a happy oyster who would reveal a pearl. Did that metaphor go too far? Ach, it probably didn’t work at all. Sorry. Moving on.

Jo Wright hasn’t gotten over the fact that Will Price dissed her verbally to the New York Times a couple of years ago. She’d dyed her hair black, gotten writer’s block, and is not herself. When an opportunity comes for her to participate in a writer’s festival, she makes 100% certain that Will Price will not be there. But, well, things happen and Will Price is everywhere. But he apologizes quickly, fervently, takes her aback, and she’s uncertain, but somewhat mollified. And then she finds herself looking at Will anew and differently and hungrily. Yum.

In No Words , the narrator says that books should be escapes and I 100% agreed. For me, No Words was the escape I’d been needing. After days of clouds and rain, (and a mediocre previous book) I could escape to Little Bridge with Jo and Will and Bernadette et al and laugh and smile as this crew of wonderfully fun writers and their better halves participated in a book festival.

There were shenanigans and debauchery, but this book made me happy and made me smile through summer clouds. And, seriously, isn’t that exactly what a book should do? Shouldn’t it transport us from the place we are to where teenage cats rule and maybe there’s a wolfie Raul?

Jo is a wonderful character, one of my favorites from this series and Will isn’t far behind. What a great, memorable couple. They were both dealing with difficult childhoods but survived and surmounted. And they had serious swoon.

A quick lovely read, that I might even read again.

Jo Wright is a children's book author that has fallen on some hard times. When Jo receives an offer she can not refuse, she quickly remembers Will. Will is not her favorite person, in fact, she despises him and his arrogant personality. When she receives the news that Will will no longer be there, she puts him out of her mind and she travels to Little Bridge Island to enjoy the book festival. Every thing is going great until Will turns up.

No Words is told in first person from Jo's point of view and was a very enjoyable read! I absolutely loved the writing and the atmosphere the author created. I also loved Jo's personality. I did feel like adding more to the relationship development would have added more to the chemistry between Jo and Will.

Overall, it was a sweet, humorous, quick read that I enjoyed! No Words is the third installment in Meg Cabot's Little Bridge Island series but can easily be read as a standalone.

A return to Little Bridge Island and a story about two authors who have a complicated past made this my favorite of thr Little Bridge books so far! No Words by Meg Cabot is enjoyable but not my favorite Cabot work. It is another for the Little Bridge Island series, and for some reason I feel this novel did not hit it's mark quite like Cabot's previous adult romance novels. The classic "don't judge a book by its cover" trope is at play as the protagonist, Jo Wright, is using her one bad experience with Will Price a few years back as proof that he is (and always will be) a bad guy. Cabot slowly unravels the characters interactions with each other in present day, but I found the pacing to be soooo slow and the conversations to be way too predictable for a seasoned author.

This one, sadly, was a miss for me.

I love Meg Cabot's writing and No Words is no different! I can't wait to read the rest of the books set on this charming island in Florida.

Right off the bat I knew this was going to be a book I recommend my girlfriends to read for fun. The book had me yearning for a beach or a pool, some sunshine and a glass of rosé to watch the rom com unfurl. This book reads a lot like Beach Read did last Summer and I’m really here for it.

The series of what seemed to be coincidences that led to authors Jo and Will spending time together truly built some great romantic tension.

I wasn’t sure about how this would go for me without having read the first two books in the trilogy, but it was surprisingly easy to jump into cold. Overall, it’s not the best book I’ve ever read, but for what it is (a fun, quick rom com) it was everything I could have asked for. For those out there who want to fall in love and laugh along the way, this is the book for you. I just wish it had come out in time to share the paperback with all of my friends on their summer adventures.

I absolutely loved this book!! I was hooked from the first chapter & couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed Jo & Will’s journey and excerpts from Will’s book along the way. I appreciated the content warning at the very beginning. I didn’t find the content to be very triggering but I respect the effort for other reads who may be more strongly affected. I’m grateful to NetGalley for the advanced copy, & I highly recommend you grab a copy on September 28th!!

An enemies to lovers romance about two competing authors. Jo doesn't like Will because he bad mouthed her work to the New York Times. Now, she has to endure a book festival in his home town, and she is forced to spend time with him.

The book is first person from Jo's point of view. The plot flows smoothly. The characters have been through some hard times, but have come out stronger as a result.

This book is the third in The Little Bridge Island series. I have not read the other two, but I wasn't lost. It can be read as a standalone without issue. I definitely recommend.

Whelp, that was adorable. The description did not mention the elegant little sprinkling of P&P, so that was the best possible surprise. Also? I had no idea this was the third in a series, but the first two are going on my tbr list right now.

Ok, I really wanted to like this book, but it just wasn’t for me. I was left disappointed. The overall synopsis seems a bit like Beach Read but isn’t very well done.

Jo Wright is a children’s author for a series about a teenager cat. She is invited to a children’s book festival where she runs into her mortal enemy Will, a fellow author, who dissed her books publicly year before.

This enemies to lovers book had so much potential but I did not see the chemistry between the two at all. They don’t even talk to each other at all until halfway through the book. I wish there had been more about their first meeting in the green screen room just before the public shaming event that showed their initial chemistry so that there was more of a basis for their instant love later in the book. The ending also felt rushed and the reader has to infer the ending to an extent.

There were some scenes in this that were well done, and the side characters were great, but overall I just didn’t like this one much.

Ahhhh, loved this book! Meg Cabot never disappoints and I was SO excited to receive an arc of her latest. No Words has likeable characters, great plot line and will keep you turning the page until the end.

This was my first Meg Cabot book. I think it would best be described as New Adult. It was a cute story and I enjoyed the characters, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Perhaps it is perfect for a Cabot title and I have readers who are and will become fans.

I was thrilled to read a new book from Meg Cabot however this one just didn’t hit like her others. The main character was extremely frustrating and not relatable and I just didn’t enjoy how she was written. It also seemed to scratch the surface on a lot of things and just didn’t develop or go deep enough for me. I will say, it’s a fun quick read but it just was lacking for me unfortunately.

No Words by Meg Cabot was adorable just like I expected it to be! This is the third book in the Little Bridge series and I would happily read dozens more! Hopefully the series goes on for years! The two main characters Are completely likable without being perfect. I laughed out loud with the Hijinx of her writer friends who are also at the book conference with her. I was happy to see some of the previous protagonist pop up in the book. Also on a more serious note it was lovely to read a book about the importance of reading books! #Netgalley
