This book was exactly what I have come to expect from Meg Cabot books, and I especially like this series. It’s fun to see characters from other books pop up and play a part in this new book. I also really loved the other authors who were at the book festival. The only thing I could have done with less of were the car pins, but I understand why they were in there.

Okay, so who doesn’t love a good enemies to lovers romance novel?!
I haven’t missed a book yet in this series! They are perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing, cute read…with some romance and twists and turns along the way!
It’s hard to find books (sometimes) with characters that are easy to relate to and I think that Jo and Will are just that! Not to mention the funny/quirky little things that happen to them throughout this story!
Kudos to Meg Cabot for another great read! Looking forward to reading more from her and discovering what else Little Bridge Island has to offer!

Of the Little Bridge Island series, this was the best, but that’s not saying much. I enjoyed the premise of this one, but as a theme I’ve felt throughout this series, the chemistry is lacking. Jo and Will irked me more than anything and the interludes of his “book” we’re just…bad. Honestly that would be my biggest complaint is a lot of these lines felt cheesy and forced, both in the fake book but also between the two leads.

The best part of this was the cast of surrounding characters, which felt strong, except for the absurd addition of the sexual assault plot line that is never resolved and seemed pushed in for absolutely no reason. I think I need to give Cabot a break for awhile, or perhaps, she needs a break from writing the same formulaic book year after year.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Okay this was my first Meg Cabot book and I really enjoyed it.

This book reminded me a little of Beach Read when I just read the synopsis, but it was actually pretty different. The main similarity was the main character had writer's block.

I thought it was cool having parts of Will's novel interspersed with the normal chapters. I also thought it was interesting to have the male lead write the romance novels. Not super typical. I also thought that Jo's Kitty Katz, Kitten-Sitter sounded so cute! My students would really enjoy them : )

I also really liked the descriptions of the island life. Made me want to move there.

My main complaint was not completely understanding why Will did what he did. He sort of explained, but I still wish we had a bit more clarity.

But I will definitely check out the other books in the Little Bridge Island series!

4/5 stars

Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy!

It had been a few years since I had read a Meg Cabot book but now I may need to go back and catch up. This was such a fun rom-com read! I could definitely see this book being picked up into a fun summer movie. The novel follows a group of authors who travel to a small island for a book faire. The main character, Jo, has a negative history with a fellow author who she was assured would not be attending. However, at the airport upon arrival, she spotted him, Will. She tried her best to avoid and continue to despise him; though the more time spent on the island the more she learned about him and his personal life. They slowly began to interact more and she was pleasantly surprised. There were also so many fun supporting characters, fellow authors who have traveled to festivals before.
Highly recommend for a light hearted easy fun read!

This would be a fun beach read but it just was a little too fluffy. The main character Jo, comes off as very immature with her interjections of speech from her book series. The enemies to lovers time line would have been better had it not switched so drastically in the beginning of the book. I felt like this book read very very young even though it was about adults.

No Words seems like an appropriate title as I am actually struggling to find the words for my review. I don't have many opinions about this book; good or bad. Jo Wright is struggling with writer's block after a successful series about a cat. She needs to write the next installment but is coming up short after a blow to her self esteem. When she attends an author's conference she is shocked to find that the person who delivered said damage is the one hosting the conference. Jo is unsure if she can forgive Will Price for the damage he's done and move on with a friendship or possibly even more.

There was a lot going on that made it difficult for me to focus on one particular storyline. deaths, magic, parental care, moving, traveling, writing, shows, interviews, and on and on. I liked Jo and Will on their own, but didn't feel the chemistry between them. Overall it was a good book, just not for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow and Custom House for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Meg Cabot never disappoints. In No Words we get a glimpse of the literary world in this fun, romantic comedy.

No Words was a fun, easy summer read. Jo is a children's author who has a writer's block. She is invited to the Little Bridge Book Festival and goes on the condition that her enemy, author Will Price will not be attending. When she gets there she finds out that not only is Will there, but he is helping to run the festival. Jo's immaturity made her less likeable as a character. The grudge she holds against Will for one comment he made to the press goes on for too long even after he apologizes. The characters lack depth and Jo's inner dialogue using phrases from her books like, "oh whiskers!" made her an annoying character. It was still a fun read, but not as good as I had hoped for.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had a huge grin on my face when I started this book. I mean, a book about writers with a rom com twist?! Yes, please! It really started off string, but the euphoria faded after a few chapters.

Jo Wright is a 30 something novelist, famous for her hit series about Kitty Katz (a teenage cat). She’s a YA author who has writer’s block when it comes to book #27 of her series. However, she’s been prolific with more serious adult books that her publishers won’t even consider.

Meanwhile, she has been holding a serious grudge against fellow author, the famous Will Price (he’s super hot and you can see where this is going). Will is not the jerk he appears to be and wants to prove this to Jo via an elaborate book festival he hosts.

Things first derailed when I realized that Jo’s inner dialogue speaks like the teenaged cat character from her hit series. As in, Jo says, “Oh, whiskers!”, “oh, kittens,” and it was “purr-fect”. I couldn’t take it. It was so grating, unnecessary and cheesy and it just.wouldn’t.stop. That alone killed the book for me. As if that wasn’t enough, her annoying grudge against Will that she couldn’t stop talking about, the unrealistic scenarios and lack of depth and chemistry between the main characters and the weak storyline just made this a surreal and eye-rolling experience. It goes without saying saying that this book was far from “purr-fect”.

I was excited to have the chance to read an advanced copy of No Words by Meg Cabot. I am a huge fan of the Princess Diaries movies (who isn’t?) and once I realized they were based off of books I immediately added them to my Want to Read list. I haven’t gotten around to them yet, but I knew I wanted to try something by the author who inspired the greatest glow up of all time.

This book was actually the third in a series, although it didn’t seem like you needed to read them in order. They all take place in Little Bridge Island though, an island in the Florida Keys. This book centers around Jo, a children’s book author and her nemesis, Will, a successful novelist. She agrees to attend a book festival under the impression that Will will not be attending, but things don’t go according to plan.
This was a super cute, fun, romance read. The setting is great and the characters are funny. I liked the dynamic between Jo and Will and was very invested in their romance. My only complaint is I wanted more of it! Although I enjoyed reading about the book festival activities, I could have done with less of the other story lines and more of the romance.

But overall, it was a super entertaining, light read. I would definitely read the other books in this series and more by Meg Cabot!

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for an ARC of this book.

Absolutely delightful. I love the little bridge series and loved the author festival take. I can’t wait to see more from this series. A perfect summer read. Meg Cabot easily shines in both adult and children’s lit!

No Words is a witty and fun rom-com with a great cast of characters, a book festival setting, and a chemistry-laden enemies-to-lovers romance. The story takes place at the first annual book festival on Little Bridge Island, a small island in the Florida Keys, which is the setting of the first two books in the series as well. I love the summer vibes and could easily imagine this vibrant island bursting with excitement over their first-ever book festival.

Jo Wright is a bestselling children’s author who is invited to speak at the festival. Though she is not eager to attend a book event in the town where her literary nemesis lives, Jo can’t resist the generous stipend offered. Though Jo is assured that Will Price won’t be there, she quickly learns that not only is Will attending, he is very involved in his town’s first annual book festival. I love Jo! She is a well-layered character, and I like how she grows throughout the story. Kind, sensitive, opinionated, and funny, she has a fantastic and relatable personality, and her constant cat jokes and references are purr-fect!

As Jo gets to know Will, he shows her how sorry he is for poor actions in the past. Will is another great character and a bit misunderstood. I like that the other authors, and eventually Jo, give Will a chance to redeem himself. These secondary characters are charming and funny and such a wonderful addition to the story. I love Jo’s author friends and how supportive they are of each other. Will’s sister and some of the younger attendees of the book festival are also great. They bring an enthusiasm to the story and show how much of an impact books can have in the lives of their readers. I can easily imagine being one of the attendees fangirling over my favorite author much like several characters in this book do, and I would have loved to be in the audience when Jo and Will were on stage together. It was explosive!

Jo and Will have the best enemies-to-lovers romance filled with awkward moments and excellent banter. Will tries so hard to prove himself to Jo and to show her he’s not the man she thinks he is. As they get to know each other, they realize that they have more in common than they thought, and I think they both learn that sometimes it’s better not to jump to conclusions and make assumptions.

Whether they are arguing or flirting, Jo and Will have so much chemistry, and it’s clear that there are very strong feelings between them. Will is so awkward with Jo, which I thought was adorable. He is a bestselling author, gifted in storytelling, yet, he stumbles to find the right things to say when he is with Jo. It makes for some interesting and humorous conversations.

I really enjoyed this read. It is cute and charming, and the characters are wonderful. If you’re looking for a light and fun rom-com, No Words is the book for you. Also, though this is the third book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Thanks so much to Meg Cabot, NetGalley, and William Morrow Paperbacks for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Fans will be delighted to take a tropical trip back to Little Bridge Island for Cabot's 3rd installment in this series, which follows an adorable, eccentric cast of characters in a small town in the Florida Keys. Readers get an inside look at the local Book Festival through the eyes of Jo Wright a popular and prolific children's book author who is confronting her literary nemesis, Will Price. The sunshine and sea air may change their relationship for the better! Super cute offering for long time Meg Cabot readers.

This book was so much fun and a little cheesy. I loved the fun playful lines and the romance throughout. It was perfect for my mood and just what I needed!

This was perfectly fine. Characters were likable, I understood the romance and the obstacles. Nothing memorable, but a great beach/airplane read.

Best-selling author Jo Wright is suffering from writer's block after another author, Will Price, trashed her books in an interview. His words were especially devastating because she thought there was a spark between them. She is hoping to be inspired by her stay on Little Bridge Island for a book festival. Unfortunately Will Price lives on the island and is part of the book festival. This is not what she signed up for! But could it be exactly what she needs to start writing again?

This was a very fun and entertaining read!

In typical enemies to lovers fashion there is great tension between Jo and Will. The writing is spot on with how you can just feel and relate to Will’s slightly awkwardness, and his attraction towards Jo.

This is book three in the Little Bridge Series and can be read as a standalone. There are some slight overlapping of characters, but I don’t feel like it completely spoils any of the previous books.

This book seriously gave me major summer vibes, though it’s set in January. I’m definitely craving a beach or island vacation now!

This is the second book set on the idyllic Little Bridge Island near the Florida Keys. Jo, author of a famous children's book series, is invited to the island to participate in a book festival. She accepts, on the condition that her enemy, the even more famous and successful Will Price, won't be there. But, there is a mix up, and there he is. In fact, he's basically in charge of the festival. This is a fun, funny and fast paced romance that will have you cheering for all the characters.
