This delightfully illustrated and colorful book tells the tale of a farming couple who were in debt despite farming by so called modern standards including dangerous chemicals. The got discouraged and sold off the modern things that are so detrimental to the environment and went back to basic sustainable farming. The neighbors weren't happy about it until they all learned a hard lesson in soil conservation. Sounds rather simplistic for some folks, but my sister's small simple farm in central Wisconsin is surrounded by Amish farmers who farm responsibly and ringed by the other kind who pollute the groundwater. Yes, I love this book! And thanks for the illustrations Allira Tee.
I requested and received a free ebook from Quarto Publishing Group – Ivy Kids via NetGalley. Thank you!

This is a children's book that I read to all three of my children. I loved this book so much, and my children also loved this book. This book is all about a farmer letting the land they have to go back wild. I love the idea behind this book. I think as people we need to think about the mixed between high farming and letting land going back to the wild. Great book. This book is great for children in 1st to 3rd grade in my person opinion. I think pre-k to k would not understand what this book is trying to say. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Ivy Kids) or author (Isabella Tree) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that. This book is schedule to be release on June 1-2021.

This was great to read. The illustrations are beautiful. The message is beautiful. It's a great way to remind children that we should appreciate nature and it's okay to go "wild". I gave it a 4/5 because I felt some of the terminology might be too advanced for the targeted audience.

Wow, what a preachy book aimed at young children. The illustrations were lovely but the storyline was the worst. Hard pass.
