The tag line is definitely correct! This anthology has something for everyone. *cheeky grin*
If you’re unsure if you’d wish to read each individual story, there are slight trigger warnings given. If you feel it’s not for you, just keep flipping.
Erotica, sex, smut. It has it all to rev almost anyone’s engine.
Enjoyable and fun!
Cheers!
Thanks to NetGalley for the read in exchange for my honest review.

This was a great set of stories! I appreciated the diversity and range in this anthology. Some of them weren't for me, but the brief blurbs and content warnings before each one were useful in helping me decide whether to skip or read them and I think similar books should do the same. Though each story was short, most of them were well-[aced and still felt like complete.

Wow!! This isn’t a book for the slightly prudish AT ALL.

A collection of erotic short stories. I appreciated how before each story began the author gave a quick introduction of the story. It included any trigger warnings for the story. That way you could just move on to the next story if need be.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this book for public consumption because even the cover is hot. The language can be crude and descriptive so if that bothers you be forewarned.

I DNF at 35%. The first two stories were quite enjoyable, but the third appalled me. It's not the author's fault and there will surely be people who enjoy it, but I couldn't continue.
I appreciated the brief 'trigger warnings' before each story. This is a wonderful gesture of the author.

I loved the uniqueness of each and every story and the sensuality of it.
It was very interesting, intimate, sexy historical short Stories collection that you should definitely try.

Very entertaining and I enjoyed it.

This was a fun read! As far as erotica goes it had the basics I was looking for: hot sex, romance, and great rep. There were lesbian characters, gay characters, trans characters. Polyamory, age-gap relationships, sex work positivity. Even if your preference isn’t included, I feel like the book is encouraging in a way that accepts all kinks.

The characters did get a little monotonous, the women often reacted the same and the men were almost always traditionally masculine, but that didn’t feel like a statement on what society “should be” so much as writers can fall into the trap of writing the same character. I also didn’t always want everyone to fall into real love (sometimes sex is sex), so more variety in that area as well would have been good. I read most of the book in a few weeks and then took like a 2 month break because I just ran out of steam for the last 15%.

I don’t tend to drift toward period piece romances but it was sort of fun to be in olden times and work under those constraints. Consent was represented pretty well and I liked that each story came with a content warning.

Some stand out stories were: The Gift, Stepping Out with a Stable Boy, and my favorite was An Evening of Cards.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book.. I really liked pretty much all of the stories. They are definitely not for the shy or people whom blush easily. I would say if you like erotica you will like this one. I would tell you to make sure you significant other is close. Lol. I say read this book. Life is short.

it was, indeed, smutty. it wasn't a mind blowing book, however a really enjoyed each of the stories, the settings, and the spicy bits. a fast, hot and fun read.

Enjoyable collection of imaginative period drama erotica; a lot of damsels in distress, a lot more of damsels in delectation. While there is an element of historical detail in each of these stories, there's no compunction for strict accuracy as far as dialog, etiquette, or setting go; these are all just fun little literary frissons.

I appreciate the level of political correctness that's included in many of these pieces, beyond the feminism one would naturally expect, for example in One Night as a Woman Leigh's brownness, and Hugh & Kip in The Baker's Man coming from such different socio-economic backgrounds. I must say although The Grand Ball and An Evening of Cards were both about debauched orgies, I preferred the latter for the discreet use of sheaths.

I love reading taboo romances, so I gave this a try.
Now, I don't normally love novellas or historical but this anthology may have changed my mind about that. These stories were HOT and even though they are short, I felt like I got the complete reading experience. Where else can you get a whole collection of forbidden goodies! Highly recommend.

I was really weary of this book when I first picked it up, not really knowing what I got myself into. Man, was I proved wrong! It was brilliant. I don’t know if a anonymous is one person or many but each story was blowing my mind, from the content to the time period, to the 🔥🔥🔥 it was all very good! Below are my reviews for each individual stories I have read this far:

Stepping out with the stable boy- 4 stars
I was beyond intrigued with this one! The verbiage cracked me up but man was the sex hot!

Standing in for earl- 4 stars
I wish this one was a full length novel, I wanted the story to slow down, and drag out its details.

The gift- 3 stars- well, I appreciated this story for what it was. While I prefer reading in the current time period, I wasn’t completely bothered by this one

A night with the duke- 4 stars
A phallus?! Haha oh man. This was great. I really enjoyed how naive the main character was!

Bosum chums. - 5 stars
This was a brilliant story! I wish there was more to this one

The grand ball- 5 stars
another brilliant story! I love the ending! I didn’t see that comes AT ALL!

An evening of cards!- 5 stars
This one gets all my stars for creativity! Man I wish I knew who the author is....

A fun collection of erotic short stories, all with different enticing tropes set in various time periods. Exciting and arousing the stories touch on various subjects that lovers of spicy romance will really appreciate. Some taboos present. Stories also come with trigger warnings ahead of them, which is much appreciated. This is great for a fast fix of sexy story time!

I'm gonna be honest, I was a little iffy about starting this since I don't read too much historical stories. Thus, starting this took a little getting used to, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing writing and it easily drew me in. Each story has a good level of steam and it was kind of addicting!

I don't usually pick up anthologies, but something about this one drew me in, and I'm so happy I gave it a try! I have never read a historical erotic book, but I absolutely LOVE historical romance so this was FANTASTIC for me. It was so cool to see such steamy stories set in a time when talking to a man alone might ruin you lol!

I found the writing style to be flawless, props to this anonymous author for that. There really was something for everyone here, every taste, every inclination, every fantasy. And none of the stories felt unfinished - they all wrapped up nicely which is not always the case with short stories so I was pleasantly surprised by that.

All in all, I recommend this book to anyone who's looking for a HOT, sexy read filled with great representation and set in a historical time period! I don't think anyone will be disappointed as there is literally something that floats everyone's boat lol.

I have to admit, I didn't have high expectations for this collection; I've generally found that published erotica is far inferior to most decent fanfiction. This collection was a truly lovely surprise. A broad range of interests and types of stories are covered with a Regency-era (I believe) historical perspective. Well written and worth taking a look at if it piques your curiosity.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This erotic anthology has something for everyone and caters to many different tastes and proclivities. Discover what interest or excites you. Explore which is your perfect story. Return to it again and again. We dare you. A virgin receives an especially satisfying gift at a masked ball. A duke offers to settle a man's debt for one night with his wife. As an introduction to a secret club, a viscount's heir is made over into a woman - and discovers her true self. Plus nine more sensual stories of libidinous lust, catering to the tastes of varying sexual appetites. Whatever your fancy. Aphrodite in Bloom is ready and willing to serve.

I went into this anthology by the title alone. I am usually not the biggest fans of anthologies because they usually leave you hanging on for more until the next book comes. But this one is pretty much complete stories that will appeal to about every reader. But my biggest question was who are these authors or author of this book. I so want to know. I know there is something that will be amazing to read in here for everyone. I wasn't a fan of all the stories but over all it was a great little anthology.

Bet you can’t read just one! Such variety! So erotic…
Whoa. What a compilation of historical steamy stories for all tastes. There are M/F, M/F/F, M/M, F/F and more. Each story is so unique from the other. I don’t want to spill the beans and give away too much, but if you like shortish passionate arousing stories with wonderfully satisfying happy endings, get this book. Each story within this book begins with a tantalizing synopsis or tease so you’ll have an idea if you like that plot or not. With twelve stories there is bound to be something to make you sizzle. I volunteered to review this book through Entangled/NetGalley and give it high recommendation for what it is.

This is a delectable collection of short stories.

There are so many different types of erotic stories written outside the usual hetero normative and each have a warning of the main theme of the story in case you may be sensitive to the topic explored.

I may have had to take breaks since this one was very steamy and was continuous steam. So that's why it's a little past the pub date. My husband wasn't complaining lol since he was the innocent bystander. He's fine don't worry about him.

I was reading through some other reviews and I agree that I liked that all the situations and relationships were consensual and they all had a happily ever after in their own unconventional ways. Unconventional as not vanilla as we are used to since these are all regency/historical English settings.

Like all the reviews we wish we knew who Anonymous is so that we can read further work. Will they write under Anonymous for future short stories or works? Asking for all my book friends?

Aphrodite in Bloom is an erotica anthology. Each story is an erotic novella filled with steamy sex scenes and dashing dukes. There is definitely something for everyone in here. One of the tag lines for this anthology is "find the story you'll return to again and again". For me, it would have to be the first story. I liked the set up and it's one I would have loved to have been a longer story. The second story was enjoyable as well. As for the rest, I will admit that they weren't my cup of tea.

One thing I appreciated about this book was the disclaimer at the beginning of each story. It allowed me to decide if I wanted to read the content of each story. Some I did and some were a hard no for me. But that is OK. That is what is great about books like this. Something for everyone and every taste. Maybe you'll find a favorite among the pages. Make sure to check it out.
