This book gives a rough summary of 24 different serial killers history and their crimes by placing them in the astrological chart. The author does a good job of introducing astrology. Each chapter is separated into the Star signs and follows two famous serial killers that fit that sign. Navarro starts off each chapter with the positive and negative aspects of the stars signs which helps him place a serial killer into it. The easiest way to summarize this book is everyone shows negative and positive traits but when you grow up in a negative environment you will most likely portray the negative aspects of the sign you were born into.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of this book for honest review.

Not sure what I expected but this wasn’t it. I study the psyche of murders, serial killers, serial assaulters, this was just not satisfying. I don’t know how I feel about zodiac signs overall I guess?

Serial killers have fascinated me in a sense as to what could possibly have provoked them to start that path of crime. What synapse in there brain wiring are they missing compared to someone who is of the same age , equal everything, but why did one choose a path of killing and one did not. This book sounded so interesting that maybe it held some other key elemental answers that could fit into the puzzle of the why would a person go out and keep killing innocent people?

Astrology for some is considered bunk or nothing, but mumbo jumbo. That may very well be, however to others after reading this book and seeing how it is compared with serial killers it may well answer some legitimate questions and open up some other opinions?
I personally need to do more research into this very interesting subject matter, but what I have been exposed to in this book has been so enthralling and compelling it has definitely opened up my mind to further questions.
This book was very matter of fact and well written and things were laid out and easy to read. Points were given and shown where they were attributed and there were never no hidden questions. I felt that that I could look things up on my own and research was well documented.

Overall, this book I would definitely recommend.

I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for giving me the opportunity to read an review this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

I chose this book to read and review because of my love for zodiac signs and the raw interest in serial killers and why they do the things they do. While that is what kept me reading, I still did not like the set up to the book, and I did not like how it was written in a sense. I think the basis of the book was a good idea and it still could be phenomenal, but I feel it needs to be fleshed out more than what it is now. It was a little boring, I think there could be more for this book, but for now its not at its best!

Much potential though!

You don't understand me. You are not expected to. You are not capable of it. I am beyond your experience.” -- Richard Ramirez, AKA "The Night Stalker"

What turns a person into a serial killer? Is it possible their dark destiny was foretold in the stars? This book provides the background stories and crime details of 24 notorious serial killers from around the world.

But that's not all!! It also includes detailed astrological natal charts for each killer, analyzed with astrological pointers to their crime sprees.

Could their descent into depravity have been recognized and perhaps diverted before they turned to a life of murder?

Do different Zodiac signs kill for different reasons?

Do their charts reveal any patterns that we might see in ourselves and our loved ones?

Some of the results may surprise you.
This was a unique book which I had not read anything like before. Quite a short book but understand there are more books to come soon.

Absolutely loved this book. It was unique and intriguing. Well written , detailed in Astrology and Serial Killers astrology sign along with the facts of these heinous murders committed . I highly recommend this book. It is a true crime treasure.

I went for this book as I am a true crime junkie (I was going to say I was obsessed with serial killers but somehow that doesn't quite sound right 😆🙈).

I know I expected astrology going by the name but there was a bit too much astrology and not enough true crime for my liking. I felt that there wasn't enough explanation about the star signs with the planets, it went right over my head. Most of the serial killers I knew about but I'm glad there was a few in there I wasn't familiar with, it let me go and research them more.

I've heard there are to be more books in the series and I would love more time given to the actual serial killers (there is more info on somewhere like Wikipedia than in the book) and more explanation on the connection between the star signs and the planets.

*Thank you to NetGalley, Rhys Navarro and the publisher for the copy of this book. All opinions are my own.*

am giving this book 4.5🌟, only because the details given for each serial killer seemed to be a bit inconsistent. For example, one killer had details of when or if almost every body was discovered, while I didn’t find these notes on other killers. Other than that, I cannot wait for the next volume to be released!🌟

Very boring. The author tells us in which signs the various planets are located for each horoscope but the explanations and interpretations are cookie cutter. They are not fleshed out for each individual. If Pluto means this for one it means the same thing for all. And what does it mean? "violent", or something or other.
Boring.

What a unique book! I love astrology and I was so interested to see how it would be applied for this concept. It's definitely not something I have personally seen before in a book. I liked the simplistic layout and information for understanding basic astrology - which would be great for beginners to follow.

As far as the analysis for each individual, I would have liked it to be a bit more in depth but it does fit in with the rest of the book and the way it has been written for a wider audience - not just for those with knowledge of astrology. How astrology effects every person is fascinating but the main recurrent theme here is an abusive childhood, regardless of sign.

Overall I liked the concept and I would love to see this idea applied in the opposite way; for those who have done good as opposed to evil.

I read this book because it was a rare combination of two topics which interest me: astrology, and criminology (particularly the psychology of serial killers).

For millennia, astrology has been used to forecast the future and explain human behaviour. I was fascinated by the idea that the life paths of these notorious killers may already have offered up clues in their natal charts. Is it possible that at the moment of their births they were already sentenced to an execution order or a lifetime in prison without parole? Are there patterns or warning signs that astrology can help identify?

The short biographies of the killers in this book indicated that without exception they were badly neglected as children, suffered trauma, or abandoned by either their mother or father or both, while most were subjected to some of the most horrific physical, psychological and sexual abuse imaginable.

I was not convinced by the end of Navarro’s first Serial Killer Astrology Book 1 that there was enough research and proof which pointed directly towards a correlation between astrology and becoming a killer, rather that these dangerous people began their lives with distinct disadvantages and, had they been raised in more balanced, loving environments they would not have become the monsters the public has grown to know.

The serial killers analyzed in this book include, among others, Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkowitz, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Edmund Kemper, John Wayne Gacy and Richard Ramirez.

‘The Astrology of Serial Killers’ is a short book and did not go into enough in-depth analysis for me. Even so, there are two further books being published in the series and they may unveil hereto unknown details.

A huge thank you to @NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love learning about astrology and true crime, so I was excited to read this book. This is a quick, fun read. It talks a little bit about a lot of astrological concepts which makes it a good reference. It also has great summaries of different serial killers' lives and crimes. My favorite parts are the birth charts and analyses of the criminals. I would recommend this book to a friend!

It's been a while since I've reviewed anything from Netgalley so it is good to be back. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review.

The book I chose is one I wouldn't have picked last year. Heck I wouldn't have picked it on January as something I would want to read. Then I discovered Bailey Sarian and that's why the moment I saw this book I knew I had to have it.

The Astrology of Serial Killers as the title suggests is a book that tries to show that astrology could have been used to predict that a person would turn into a serial killer. In the book the reader is taken through the lives of twenty four killers. We are told all about their childhood, family and finally about the crimes they committed.

These serial killers are grouped according to their Zodiac signs and the author explains how according to astrology and their upbringing they turned out to be the way they are. It is an interesting theory I have to admit however I don't know a thing about astrology so I didn't understand much of the reasoning used but it was still interesting to read.

I knew most of the guys here thanks to Bailey and also because they are well known serial killers. Among the ones talked about here are Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Charles Manson and Richard Ramirez.

This was a short book which means that the author didn't go deeply into anything in my opinion. I found the discussions and the shared pointers at the end of every sign to be very short. This is also not the book for you if you are looking for an indepth analysis or background information on any of these people.

With that said it goes without saying that this book is not for everyone. It has a very niche audience. But if you are interested in astrology and true crime then this might be the book for you.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for providing me with a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book gives thumbnail sketches of 24 different serial killers - their history and their crimes - and then goes on to do a quick astrological chart explanation for each. Navarro introduces basic astrology at the beginning of the book, along with defining what a serial killer is, and then each section is set out with the star sign along with the positive and negative aspects before getting into the examples. If you already know something about astrology or these particular cases, it won’t provide anything new, but this makes it a great introduction for anyone who is new to either subject.

Navarro poses the question as to whether astrology would’ve been able to predict what path these killers would’ve taken, and it almost feels like the age old nature versus nurture debate again. Personally, I’m not convinced, but what I did notice in the thumbnails was how almost every single case mentioned involved some form of child abuse or trauma.

Will this add to your knowledge base if you’re familiar with either subject? No, but it is definitely an interesting read and I thought an interesting avenue to explore. It’s also a good entry point book for anybody wanting to explore either serial killers or astrology.

Different. Unique. Not something I read but this book was insightful.

This title was incredible short, sweet, and to the point. I have always been interested in astrology and zodiac signs and serial killers, but have never seen a book relating to all three so when i stumbled upon this title, I knew it was a must read. The chapters were organized by zodiac sign which made things easy and clear cut. I immediately jumped to my own zodiac sign but was quick to head back to the beginning. The descriptions and educational resource behind everything was quick, easy to understand, but still left your mind open to its own interpretation.

It seemed to be just a summary of theirs crimes. Not sure how it correlated with their zodiac signs. Good summaries tjough.
