Another nice entry in the series. I’m not a huge fan of wedding stories and was very glad that the whole book wasn’t centered on it. I love library mysteries.

This was a very well written book. The plot was very enticing and I couldn't put the book down. This was a new to me favorite author and I will definitely try another book by this author.

I thought the ghost in the library was a very nice addition to this traditional cozy mystery. The large cast of characters at the wedding made for lots of opportunities for suspects and the side plots resolved nicely.

I didn't finish reading this book because it contains paranormal elements. A paranormal mystery is just not my genre. I gave it three stars because I didn't want to be mean. I should have looked at the description of the book more closely.

As a newcomer to this series, I had a bit of a hard time with the connection to some of the characters. There were parts of the story that had a good plot but I found myself struggling with parts of it. I am looking forward to reading the next books as I want to see what happens with the main characters.

I have read this series from the beginning. The characters have developed into wonderfully complex and interesting characters. The mystery is full of twists and turns with several suspects. These books never disappoint. I recommend this book and series to cozy mystery fans.

this is another well written story in the series . carrie work in a libray her best friend is getting married but then things start to happen but carrie coms to the rescue. now at the party after the wedding a guest falls into the chocolate fountain. carrie and her boyfried dylan where right there when he fell. if you like mystery and animals you will enjoy reading this book. looking forward to the next book. i was given a copy of the book by netgalley but this is an honest review

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series and I always look forward to the latest addition to the Haunted Library mystery series! It has everyone a reader could want: an amazing "who-dun-it", ghosts, and a hint of romance! All in all, this entire series is perfection and I look forward to many more to come!

I picked this book not realising that it was the 5th in a series, that being said it can easily be read as a stand alone novel. Death on the Shelf is a perfect cosy mystery, with an engaging who done it and characters that I really enjoyed reading about.
The writing is fantastic and the setting - in a library - was perfect. I read this book in one sitting I was so invested in the story and I have gone and gotten myself the first book in the series.

I found this an easy read though it is not an author I have read before. It is not something I would look to read again but her characters were endearing particularly Tacey, which at first I thought had been spelt wrong. Not having read this authors books before I was a bit confused when Evelyn the ghost was mentioned, I gleaned she was a ghost quite quickly though.
This is an easy read for those who love ghost and murder mystery stories in a gentle none gruesome way.

This is the fifth book in the Haunted Library mystery series. I definitely recommend reading them in order.

I enjoyed this book and series so far. The characters and storyline are well thought out and developed. This book had A LOT going on in it! It was not my favorite of the series but I still enjoyed it very much!

A solid plot with the return of many series regulars. It's always a delight to spend time with Smoky Joe and to visit with Evelyn. The relationship between Carrie and Dylan is on the fast track and I'm looking forward to what happens next between the couple.

Number five in this series. You don’t have to read the pervious ones it’s just a bonus. Allison Brook pays attention to what her fans like and it’s obvious. The characters and stories don’t get old.

In this installment of the Haunted Library series by Allison Brook we get to spend summer time in Clover Ridge with Carrie, Dylan and the library employees. Carrie again gets involved in another murder mystery because it occurs at Angela's wedding reception. By now readers of the series know that Carrie just can't kept out of a mystery when it involves family and friends.

It was lovely to visit with Evelyn again and she has a missing person case that she asks Carrie to help solve. The missing person is Evelyn's brother and it takes help from Dylan's office to resolve this one but it was a heart warming reunion on more than one level. Ms. Brook has woven a swiftly paced story with numerous suspects, skillful twists and turns as Carrie follows the clues and a reveal that puts Carrie in a spot of trouble once again.

This book is the 5th in the series of Blue Ridge Library Mysteries. I have read all of this series. There is the main characters that are in all of the books with the addition of new ones pertaining to the story.. All the characters are perfect for this story. The story starts with the cancellation of the venue of Angela. one of the library workers,' bridal shower and Carrie Singleton, the main character, and her library friends try to find another place to have it. Donna, Angela's cousin, offers her house and this is where the new characters in the book are introduced. At her wedding reception Aiden, Donna's husband collapses and dies. This is where the story takes off with all the twists and turns of the characters and whodunit, Carrie and her boyfriend, Dylan, try to find out who poisoned Adrien. The reader is taken through many scenarios that keep the reader guessing until the end. Throughout the story the reader watches Carrie and Dylan's relationship develop into something more serious The special dinner prepared by Dylan when he asks her to marry him and her acceptance. I am looking forward to book 6 to find out where their new adventures lead them.

Carrie has grown into a strong and independent woman. I think that is what makes her so relatable because everything she has accomplished has been through hard work and supportive friends and family. It has been so much fun to see Carrie mature in her personal and professional lives. This mystery has her helping her best friend Angela find out who murdered a well liked doctor at her wedding. Along with that mystery, Evelyn asks her to locate her missing brother and reunite him with his daughter. The mystery is crafted so well that I had many suspects but found I guessed wrong - twists and turns and red herrings made the story so enjoyable.

I read the mystery in two sittings and encourage readers to plan not to be able to put the book down! It's that good!

'Death on the Shelf' had it all for me. The intriguing family relationships, the crossover of storylines, the mystery and new opportunities. I feel as if I am transported to Connecticut in Allison Brook's A Haunted Library Mystery series. The author does a great job of painting a picture of her surroundings and the lives of her characters. The murder of a likeable character was painful, but the intricacies of Carrie's involvement in solving this and a subsequent murder was believable. Her interactions and the trust with her boyfriend are also believable and a highlight of the book for me. I even can deal with the paranormal aspects of the series, which I highly recommend.
