First, this review will only be on NetGalley, I have no plans to share it due to the controversies surrounding Jay Kristoff. But this review is based on the book itself and not the author.

Now I have to admit, this series hasn't been a favorite of mine. I enjoyed the first one, but the second one felt a bit flat for me. This one kinda pushed me over the edge. I received the ebook a bit before the book was released and I tried reading it. But I couldn't because I was so bored. It took me FOREVER to get through the first 80 pages that I had to put on hold until I could switch to the audio. Even then it took me over 2 weeks to finish. There were just so many unnecessary parts that it frustrated me to end.

Now onto the authors need to couple every single person up, I hated it. IT was so necessary to give every single person in this group a love interest. It is so annoying when authors do this. This is the most unlikely scenario in this entire book.

Since it is another YA sci-fi written by Kristoff and Kaufman, I couldn't help but compare it to Illuminae. It shares so many similarities with Illuminae, but the endings are the same. The authors promise doom and gloom for our beloved characters and then gives everyone a happy ending.

Now, on one hand, I am glad this series is over. But I am still a bit sad to see some of these characters go. Even if they annoyed me to no end.

I really liked this series, and the ending didn't disappoint. I think the way the characters' stories wrapped up was fitting, and I super loved how Zila's story unfolded. Definitely would recommend.

Well, Kaufman and Kristoff have done it again. I was so excited to pick up this book after the massive cliffhanger of book two and it did not disappoint. These authors know exactly how to tug at your heartstrings and forget to breathe. I absolutely devoured this book. I took it everywhere with me and even got yelled at by some friends because I wasn't paying attention, and instead, was reading. This is such a well-written finale to the series and there's absolutely nothing I would change. Riveting, fast-paced, perfection.

I loved the first two books in this series and I had high expectations for this one. Time travel isn't typically my preference, though, so I struggled a bit getting into it. I did enjoy it overall, and I especially loved the relationships and friendships in this series. I do love the found family concept.

What an ending!!! Aurora’s End by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff is the explosive final book in The Aurora Cycle. Picking up immediately where book two left off, we see the Squad 312 separated by more than just distance. Tyler is in Syldrathi custody, Auri and Kal are in the Eshvaren weapon with the Starslayer, and Fin, Zila, and Scarlett don’t know where or when they are. With the fate of the entire universe on their hands, the Squad must find a way back to one another if they have any hope of winning this war.

First off, let me just say WOW. This book blew me away. Normally, I will devour a good book, but this one I savored, reading it over two weeks because I did NOT want it to end. I just soaked in all the details watching as all the pieces of the puzzle fell together. One of the things I admire about this author duo is their ability to weave a story together, leaving a trail of clues from the very beginning pointing you to the inevitable end without you realizing it. I went back and looked at the other books as each of these pieces fell into place and again was just in awe.

Now that my fangirling is out of the way, let’s get on with this story. As with the previous books, we get points of view from all the Squad members which just adds to the story rather than distract. Fin is still my favorite character POV to read from, and since he graces the cover let’s talk about him. Fin is a calming influence on the entire team, and this time he isn’t with all of them, only Zila and Scar. His infatuation with Scar continues to develop which I’ll admit I was rooting for from the first time he showed interest in her 😉 I personally loved his character’s growth. When we first met him in book one, he’s bitter about his lot in life and uses humor as a deflection. He still uses humor to deflect, but he also has a newfound confidence in his own abilities thanks to his Squad. As a Betraskan and because of his illness preventing him from living a normal life, Fin has been drifting without a real family, but it is here he realizes that his Squad is his family, and he draws on that strength.

There are multiple plot points happening simultaneously throughout this book, and it can get confusing. Time plays a big role in this as the team is separated by not just distance but years. Zila, Fin, and Scar are in the past. Auri and Kal in the future. And Tyler is alone in the present believing that all of his Squad are gone. He believes that he is the only one left and that it falls to him to stop the Ra’haam before it is too late. It is interesting to see the Ra’haam from the perspective of time. In the past, they aren’t even looking for it yet. In the future that Auri and Kal have found themselves in, the Ra’haam won. So everything really does fall to Tyler. Even being separated, the Squad work together to find a way home. I can’t say much more on this without major spoilers (and no one wants that) so I’ll just say this. The plot is fast-paced, action-packed, heart-stopping, and gut-wrenching. You will laugh a little, cry a lot, and maybe even catch yourself holding your breath hoping the characters pull off a miracle.

Overall I loved Aurora’s End. The entire series from beginning to end has focused on a bunch of misfits who never really fit with anyone else. The story is about more than just an adventure across space and time, more than a war for the fate of the entire universe, it’s about family and finding the ones to call your own. And that friends is just beautiful.

I really loved this character focus science fiction novel. I really loved seeing all of these characters again and also seeing how these characters all had to save the day. This book had a really intreasting structure that I loved. I also really loved how this story wraped up. It def was still a character focused story and one that captured me from page one!! Such a strong conclusion!

I finally got around to read this finale! I didn't wanted to read this finale because I loved this series so much! Book 2 was my favorite in the trilogy but I think this one takes the cake for me. I can't say much about this book because it is a third book in a trilogy but just know I really loved this one and it was fun buddy reading it with my friend Jessica!
Overall rating: 5/5 stars
PS: Who put onions in my room while finishing this book lol!(:

An epic conclusion to The Aurora Cycle!! The last book leaves you on such a cliffhanger and they hop right back into the thick of it in Aurora's End. I love everything about this book. Its was such a rollercoaster!! Amie and Jay are masterminds together!! I really hope they continue to write outer space stories together because they are always incredible! Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for a honest review!

Such a bittersweet ending! But it was perfect. I laughed and cried and felt all the love through the pages. This crew was fun to watch. This ragtag team I never imagined I like as much as the Illuminae crews. But I did.

I can’t wait to listen to the series for my reread.

Thank you, Netgalley and the authors/publisher, for the opportunity to read and review an advanced reader's copy of this book. This in no way affects my review, all opinions are my own.

They did it again!!!! All of the Amie/Jay collaborations I have read so far have ended up in my top 10 lists of all-time favorite series. The Aurora Cycle series ranks among the top 10. While Aurora Rising is still my favorite in the series, Aurora's End did not disappoint at all. I also listened to the audio which is always an amazing experience. The audiobook versions of the "magic duo's" books are a sweet treat for the reader. I hate that this series has come to an end. I would love to see some novellas added to the series to dig deeper into the stories of some of the characters and certain events not described in detail in the books.

Thank you Knopf’s Books for Young Readers, Random House Children’s for this eARC via netgalley.

The Aurora Cycle is at an end. I have such a deep love and appreciation for this series. This series is very well written and entertaining. I love the world and characters that these authors have created. It was so nice to be back with the squad and I loved how their journey came to a close.

The plot for this series is so intricate and well detailed. I cannot wait to read more from this duo if they get together again.

What a thrill of a read! It was tough to see the Squad separate in order to accomplish all that they needed to do but worth it in the end.

I have followed this series since Aurora's Rising first came out and I am happily devastated that it is has finally come to end. I honestly did not see the end of this series going this way or how WELL they thought it out. I never would have thought that Z would be who she was or that C would get a redemption arc or any of that. I was literally sobbing on my bed clutching this book to my chest when I read the final pages. It's so amazing and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better end.

10/10 will always always recommend this series to everyone. Its so witty and funny and the cast of characters just got better and better with each book, and honestly, I just wish there was more, or going to be more. Amie and Jay did it again. They make a great team.

I'm not entirely certain. I understood what was happening, but I do know that at the end I cried unexpectedly. It was a good ending to a trilogy I really did love.

Thank you to netgalley for providing an e-galley for review. Aurora's End by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff was a satisfying ending to a thrilling book series. I appreciated the "where did we leave them" recap in the beginning. The whole Groundhog Day multiverse idea got a little tedious, but everything ties together nicely. Much more of a hopeful ending than the previous books,

Was I glad Finian is on the cover? Yes.
Was this my favorite book in the series? No.
I started reading this ebook when I got it because I was so excited to see how it would all end and where we would pick up. However as it progressed it definitely slowed down in the middle and dragged a bit. I actually stopped reading for several months and waited until it was published to be able to listen to an audiobook to get through the middle plot.
I was happy to see the squad again but it just didn't feel as great as the first book. It definitely made me want to read the first one again.
I feel like they spent so long on the mechanics of the ending and how everyone would get there that we didn't get as much time with all the characters we know and love.
I liked the way it was all summed up but I guess I'm a little underwhelmed.

This was a great end to a great series. I laughed, I cried, I laughed so hard I cried. Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff definitely know how to write a great space drama.

It was good. Not great. I know I shouldn’t compare this series to Illuminae, but it’s hard not to.

I honestly got bored with the repeat of Scarlett, Fin, and Zila after awhile. I know WHY it was there, but it didn’t help move things along.

And the ending felt anticlimactic.

4*
It was interesting to see how the story would unfold and tie up at the end.
The characters are very dear to the readers and it was a fitting end for the trilogy.
Although some arcs were unnecessary and used to avoid explaining some plotholes, the narrative was well-thought-out.

What can I say about Aurora's End other then holy cow?!

Kaufman and Kristoff have done it again. From a murderous AI that we all fell in love with to a group of hero's we didn't know we needed, they have created another series that I love.

I cried happy, sad, and funny tears with this book. Just this one, not including the other two that came before it. I loved the way that the story ended, do I think it was slightly anticlimactic? Yes, but it was also one of the best books I've read all year, and the last chapter had me in tears in the best of ways.
