Making disciples has been the mission of the church since Jesus commanded it before His ascension. Though every church approves of, quotes, and preaching about discipleship, there is huge void of actually disciple-making, Some say we need more "ought to" preaching to inspire the church to do it. Others say there is a lack of "how to" with the average Christian. So many church members were poorly discipled, if at all. What Francis Chan does in Multiply is provide the why and the how, that allows for a reproducible plan to educate, edify, and engage every believer in becoming a reproducing disciple. This is not simply a book about discipleship, this is the plan, the process, and the powerful gospel information that is needed in the lives of all believers. Some books are written to be read, this one has been written to start a revolution.

I read Multiply years ago and it still sticks with me. One of the greatest aspects of this book for me was that it was the beginning of an amazing small group of women studying the Word and multiplying together. I grew in my relationship with the Lord and with others during the study of this book. I look forward to rereading it, as I know that I will continue to learn and discover each time that I read it. It is a great book, with a great concept and some practical advice, as well as soul-searching deep topics to work through on your own and in your group. I highly recommend using this book for your next group study!
