I love the message of being proud, not loud. This book does an excellent job of examining why kids feel a need to brag. While the story gave a good context for conversations about the difference between bragging and simply sharing what you are proud about, I found myself lacking interest in the story or characters. Nothing about the story itself was unique or compelling. Unfortunately, it sits with a 3 star rating for that lack.

Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review.

Excellent book showing the difference between bragging and being proud of yourself as Danny and his class get ready for a field trip. There are examples showing the difference between being proud and bragging and letting people know that you appreciate their help and support. Self esteem is explained, and at the end there are some great discussion questions. At the end, there is also a section that has questions on how you can discover more about yourself.
