This book was sent to me on Kindle by Netgalley for review. It is character driven with intrigue and of course, a mystery to solve. Clues abound that sends the reader in different directions until finally guessing near the end. These authors always give us great books...try this one.

Set in the midst of the California wildfires and power outages, this atmospheric addition to the Clay Edison series will keep you enthralled until the very end.

The murder of a wealthy businessman sends Clay on an emotional roller coaster ride when the investigation hits too close to home. His brother may be involved and also happens to be missing. Although their relationship hasn’t been the best, Clay is determined to find Luke and get to the bottom of this mystery.

Did I mention the ending? That will keep you holding your breath. September 2021 is the projected publication date.

A good mystery and a terrific protagonist. We see inside his head and the story flows well entirely from this perspective. A pretty classic Kellerman writing style for those who enjoy the senior Kellerman

This was another hit from the authors. An action packed thriller filled with plenty of mystery and suspense. A real page turner. This is a book which I would recommend to others. Already looking forward to the next book from the authors.

While much of the US has four seasons, in California we have three: moderate, hot & wildfire season. In the Burning, the Kellermans take us deep into California’s burning season and they don’t let us come up for air.

But the devastating fires are only the backdrop for something far more insidious – a murder that ends up hitting very close to home for our main character, who puts is job and his life at risk to find out the truth.

While there’s not a ton of action, the book is extremely suspenseful and the murder mystery intriguing. I wanted to know exactly what had happened and why – and I didn’t suspect the truth.

This is a solid murder mystery that should keep you reading…and longing for your air conditioner and a cool drink of water as the world burns.

A raging wildfire. A massive blackout. A wealthy man shot to death in his palatial hilltop home.

Clay is a deputy and once he has found a link to his brother Luke while working a .murder scene.
Shocked... Buy not surprised! Luke is fresh out of prison and struggling to stay on the right path.

But Luke has gone AWOL. The race to do Luke before anyone else does is ticking. Clay is faced with hard decisions about his brother...... Is his brother a killer? Or could he be the victim in all of this, too?

Y'all such a good quick book! I honestly loved everything about it!
This is my first book by these two and I'm already on Amazon looking for more!
