I absolutely love Margaret Feinberg’s devotional, God’s Power in Me: 52 Declarations and Devotions for Kids! God’s Power in Me is geared toward 8-12 year-olds and has 52 devotional entries. Each devotion centers around a truth based in the Bible and a lie that Satan or the world tells us. Each devotion had a corresponding Bible verse to go with it and a main point that is often to the side somewhere within that devotion. At the end of each devotion entry there is a “Declaration” journal prompt.

I loved that right off the bat, in the beginning of the devotional, there is a list of declarations about being a Child of God. I loved how Ms. Feinberg shares relatable stories from her life to help get the point of the devotion entry across. I loved how in God’s Power in Me there is a “Declaration” journal prompt at the end of each devotional entry. I also liked at the end of the devotional there is another list of the declarations from the beginning, but it includes Bible verses that correspond with each declaration.

God’s Power in Me: 52 Declarations and Devotions for Kids is a great devotional for kids 8-12 year-olds. This would also be a great devotional for kids to do with their families or guardians. I believe it could be used as part of a Christian curriculum, class, or Bible study for 8-12 year-olds.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity read this devotional. This review is also on Goodreads and my blog, Leslie's Library Escape.
