This book was a surprising delight. Dakota and Blaze started as best friends , both are wolf shifters and the love their pack. Dakota is the veterinarian for the ranch. They go through a lot to get their HEA. I look forward to reading more of this series.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. It wasn't randomly sent to me. I saw the author and description and asked to be considered as a reviewer.

While it can easily be read as a standalone, this book is part of a series about wolf shifters and their battles with much less friendly supernatural creatures. It's romantic, paranormal suspense which is multiple genres that overlap so heavily it should be it's own subgenre.

This book is not a happy, feel good story. It's a PTSD parable. There is no HEA for the main characters or background characters whose story was told in previous books. This is a book about friends to lovers to partners who are working toward a HEA.

Even though I've already read the ebook, I will be purchasing a dead tree version of this for my shelves. This couple aren't just swoony and sexy, they fit each other. "He was her person."

Something that in no way effects the plot of the book, but is so important to people that there are websites dedicated to the fate of pets in movies compels me to say that readers don't need to worry about the cat. That cat, a rooster and a pig are probably trouble making fae anyway.

Dakota and Blaze have been best friends for ever. They are both wolf shifters and love pack life. Dakota has been appointed to be one of the elite warriors for the pack and is the veterinarian for the ranch. Blaze is a elite warrior, best friends with Dakota, a handsome cowboy and hiding a big secret. Blaze passed is about to resurface and he’ll do anything to keep them from coming to the pack.

I really don’t know what to say. It’s cowboy shifters and deadly women. Best friends become lovers. A new breed of shifters. Action. Sex. Of course the “ I want you but not good enough for you “ spiel. I did enjoy it.

Wild Cowboy was a letdown for me after having read and really enjoyed the previous book in the Seven Range Shifters Series. The characters didn't even make sense. They would go back and forth over the same things and that bothered me. The whole book felt a little bit pointless, and a bit aimless.
I will say that the whole conversation amongst the girls/friends/female wolves about Dakota being "sexually submissive" felt kind of... wrong considering the stereotypes around Asian Women and especially because it's something that doesn't even actually happen. The book is quite tame, to be honest.

Blaze is the pack warrior, and Dakota is the local vet. A lot of pulling in both directions before getting to their HEA, but still kept my interest. Love the cover too. Would recommend, especially if you've read others in the series.

The story kept me here but I truly came for the cover. Anyways. I love a good shifter story and this didn’t disappoint.
