First off, I love Ruth Cardello books and the sense of family carried in each series. Dominic Corisi is such a strong character/personality he gets a couple of knock off series, that I love!

I was excited for Riley's story. Her connection with Judy and Leonardo is endearing, but I adored the vibe between her and Dominic. He was overprotective, way out of bounds, but it came from a place of fierce love.

Riley and Gavin as a couple were made for one another and hot. Both on paths of discovery in their own way, I really enjoyed their story.

He Said Never by Ruth Cardello is a enjoyable read.

The storyline is well written, I found it entertaining and held my interest from start to end.
Riley and Gavin are likable character's that I enjoyed getting to know and overall, I'm looking forward to reading more books by Ruth Cardello.

Being a huge fan of Ruth Cardello and the Corisi Family, I was waiting for Riley's book. Again, Cardello does not disappoint. Riley and Gavin's story is not a cookie cutter HEA. Plus, Cardello keeps moving the series forward with appearances from other past favorite characters. Run, do not walk to read her latest book in the series!

One of my favorite in this series - and easier to read as a stand-alone than most of Cardello’s books. Lust, love, vulnerability, family, and friendship - all with the beautiful backdrop of New England. Can’t wait for the next!

I was so excited to see there was an ARC of this book as I had just finished the previous book with Gian and Teagan and saw Riley in that book and wondered when she would star in a book!

I really loved the character of Riley, she loved her family and was so disappointed that she could not bring the two (three if you count the Romano family) families together. Her mother understandably was devastated by Riley's father and could not take the chance that Dominic was not like his father.

Again, we see Dominic trying to protect his family and again, does not understand where he went wrong!

Loved the slow transformation Gavin made from never wanting more than a quick one nighter to finding that love was not so bad after all! Even his dad got a HEA!

So, loved the book and glad that Gavin helped her facilitate the meetings that happened and loved his grand gesture at the end!

Can't wait for the next book, hope we see more of Jake and maybe even Riley's brother in upcoming books! And poor Judy, how will she ever meet a man that could make it past her father!?!!

Second in the Lost Corisis series, we already knew Riley and her newfound Corisi family, yet this book tells her story, her love for her mother and brother, but also her growing affection for her new family. And for a certain person who cannot seem to get her out of his mind. Gavin, who is being pressured by his father to find a bride and start a family, is of course deadset against it but why does he keep thinking about Riley? This is a delightful, spicy modern day fairy tale story with a dose of reality, especially with the overbearing, over protective half-brother Dominic in the picture.

This is such a lovely and great warming story. The author did a wonderful job, getting me to really connect with both main characters (we get their separate POVs). They have had a lot of hardships in their lives and have handled them as good as they could. Gavin and Riley are great pair together: funny, honest, sarcastic and, most importantly, real.

So, overall, a great and sweet read.

Though the romance is standalone, this book is best read in order, starting from the Corisi Billionaires series. Technically, the story even starts earlier but I think if you read from the Corisi Billionaires story, you'll be much more entrenched in the storyline overall. I have read all those books and in fact, have the audiobooks and have loved every book in the series. This story is no different. I loved how the story is really focused on building a greater understanding of the characters, especially the main couple, Riley and Gavin. Both have difficult histories, Riley being the missing sister of billionaire (and ultra control freak, Dominick- again, the back story helps). Gavin's father is also a high profile man who has always made his love more conditional and is forcing Gavin to look for love. However, the story is not a "fake engagement" trope- it's way deeper than that and involves a lot of character growth. The character development is done well and I loved the visits from prior characters. Overall, this was a wonderful story with strong characters and I'm so happy to have gotten an early copy through NetGalley.

I love that this story was a good mix of spice without becoming overwhelming where every other page was nothing but spice. Ruth made a great continuing story for her series that I think a lot of people will love. I also loved Riley for taking the time to figure out what was best for her. A perfect mix of coming of age, finding yourself, and spice!

I found this to be somewhat disappointing...maybe I'm getting tired of the Corisi storyline. This was just average. I didn't find it to be too terrible but also not great. The plot seems to be a stretch.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

He Said Never is a worthy installment in Ruth Cardello’s continuing story about the newly found relations of the Corisi clan. Dominic’s half-sister Riley finds herself living two lives, one of which she must keep hidden from her mom and brother, who want nothing to do with anyone related to the monster that brutally assaulted her mother. Riley is about to learn, however, that being related to Dominic comes with its own challenges when she strikes up a friendship with Gavin who is being pressured by his father to settle down before he can inherit control of dad’s company. The old saying implies that money can buy anything, but is that always true? Ruth Cardello has written a story about the similarities and differences between two families filled with insight and spice. Never forget the spice! I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

This story was definitely different from my usual reads. I do love a romance though! The book did feel... short? I just feel like I read it rather quickly.

A great storyline, two people who are both scared by their missing parent find each other and whole families come together as a result. Riley has some laugh out loud one liners in her retorts to Gavin. I would definitely recommend this book, and thanks to NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy.

A great quick read! A little bit of ~Spice~ but that's not the focus of the story. The characters grow and learn a lot about themselves.
