Don't pick this book up unless you have no plans for the day- once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down. Once again, Kimberly Belle writes a tight, fast-paced thriller with a little bit of a surprise twist. Highly recommend.

A married couple who seemingly have it all. Jade and Cam are happy in their marriage with two kids and a successful restaurant business. One day that all comes tumbling down. Jade and the kids are taken hostage in their own home. The kidnapper is demanding ransom money but Cam is having a hard time getting the money. Jade begins to wonder if they aren't as successful as he has led her to believe. My Darling Husband is gripping thriller. I was hooked from page one and flew threw this story. It kept me guessing to the end. This story will make you wonder how far will one go for their family?

Another hit for Kimberly Belle! Like her others, it makes sure to evoke visceral, raw emotions when reading! Tense as hell, a few emotional twists, with a very realistic and unique plot line! Unputdownable, fast paced, and riveting! Prepare yourself if you have children, as it’s definitely a gut punch as a parent! Amazing character development and phenomenal writing! May be her next Dear Wife! Highly, highly recommend!

Will buzz around and use top Amazon reviewer number on release!

Jade and Cam Lansky appear to have it all, he’s a celebrity chef, they have two healthy kids, what else could they want? But Cam has been living a secret life, one that has now put his wife in mortal danger as a home intruder has her held captive. Cam needs to get together a hefty ransom, but even that may not be enough to satisfy the intruder because the family secrets would make juicy reading for the public. A smart, well crafted story about the secrets spouses keep from each other and their power to destroy a family

I read this thriller in one sitting. It grabbed me from page one and held onto me until the end. I struggled with the fact that I was more sympathetic to the home invader than to any of the other characters. And the ending wrap up was kind of ridiculous. But I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

Kimberly Belle at her riveting best, this one had me turning pages in a blur.

Home invasion story meets "nothing is as it seems in this marriage" and works spectacularly.

I highly recommend!

Thank you to the publisher for gifting me this book. It was my pleasure to write an honest review.

Kimberly Belle simply does not disappoint!!! She’s one of the favorite mystery/thriller authors writing today!! So much so that I can simply recommend you read HER because any novel you pick from Kimberly will be fantastic— EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!! Her latest book My Darling Husband is a total and complete 5++++ star read that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish!! Kimberly’s attention to detail throughout the novel did not go unnoticed and I adore that she places all of her twists and turns at precisely the perfect moments! When I finished My Darling Husband, I sat and digested it all for awhile because this novel is so darn good!! I truly can’t wait until Kimberly Belle comes out with her next novel!!

Hole E Sheet! Belle tosses us into the fire from the get-go... and only turns up the gas. All the way until the closing moments. If you're a fan of Panic Room / The Purge type thrillers, you're going to *love* this one, where roughly half of the action takes place as a stranger holds a family inside their house - with the other half being the husband/ father of the family racing to try to save them. An interesting story mechanic is also thrown in for good measure, and between the heavy foreshadowing with this and the frequent (usually chapter heading) timestamps driving just how quickly the clock is turning to the pivotal moment... you really are in for a wild ride with this one. There *is* some minor commentary late that is more YMMV, and while it does speak to motivations (as close as I'll get to mentioning anything remotely specific), it isn't actually truly essential to anything. Which is why its inclusion is a bit of an irritating note in the aftertaste of the book, but isn't any real reason to like the book any less. If you want to end your year on a bang... you might consider making sure you have this book when it releases in the week between Christmas and New Year's 2021. :) Very much recommended.
