A perfect summer Hallmark Romance. I listened to this story while relaxing in the yard, working in my garden and floating in the pool. It was a sweet story that made me smile. Lacey's mom died of cancer when she was young. She spent a lot of time at the hospital and the visiting princesses were the only things that made her smile. It is no wonder that her perfect job is playing a princess at a Fairy Tale Princess theme park in Florida. Her present boyfriend doesn't understand and wants her to move on and quit her job, so Lacey breaks it off realizing that she can never be what he wants. It all turns out for the best when she meets the crown prince of Bella-Moritz and his young daughter. All she wants is to be a normal girl, so they are spending time incognito at an American theme park. When Lacey is asked to be their guide, her and Prince Henry become quick friends and his sweet daughter falls in love with this princess. Can a prince and a make believe princess be soul mates?

Once Upon A Royal Summer by Teri Wilson has all the great things that I love about Hallmark books and movies. There were likable characters, a sweet romance, and a darling child with themes of family, friendship. love Lacey and Henry were relatable characters, with both of them going through things we all go through in our lives (loss of parents and spouses, love of family, wanting to be happy etc.). Of course all the things that happen in stories of royals and commoners also happen, but they are so good together. Rose is an adorable child, who has a shared loss of a mother, I loved that they dressed in matching princess costumes including tiara. She also took all Lacey's rules to heart, which also causes some problems. This story has some angst, humor, happiness and sadness, but it is a successful journey to their happily ever after. This was a fun story and perfect for what I was looking for on this sunny day. Brittany Pressley narrates the series and does a great job with the various voices. She uses accents, tone and expression to make this story come alive. I have listened to a variety of books she has narrated, all in different genres and am impressed that she does such a good job with them

This book was so good!
The narrator used so many amazing voices when she spoke as a different character.
I also really loved the storyline and the trope.
Lacy and Henry were so cute and it was nice to read something that was lighthearted with funny characters that were relatable.
I enjoyed the theme park setting and the different description the author wrote for all of the rides, the sky, and Henry’s castle.
I loved this book!

I am a huge sucker for a life story set around any type of royals so when you add in a fairytale theme as well, you can count me in. I really enjoyed this beginning to end and found the story to love pretty quickly. The love story was incredibly predictable but I don't really mind that because I knew what it was about going into the book. Although predictable, the love story developed rather "naturally" despite the unnatural nature of this story and felt believable in the pace that it developed. I thought this was really sweet and would definitely read another from this author. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a quick and light hearted read. The characters were sweet and easy to relate to. The battles they faced as they discovered who they are, dealt with grief, and learned about true love are what many of us face in our lives. The setting was cute and I wish there was a real Once Upon a Time theme park. For those who enjoy contemporary romance or watching a good Hallmark movie, this is highly recommended.

I immediately looked into getting my hands on this book as I saw a friend post a review. I've read and adored another book - The Accidental Beauty Queen - by Teri Wilson in the past, so I definitely wanted to listen to this one.
Once Upon a Royal Summer is, simply put, adorable. It reminds me of The Prince and Me and Once Upon a Prince by Rachel Hauck. As it's published by Hallmark, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into.
Lacey is a theme park princess. Why rush home to a boyfriend who doesn't understand? His proposal and the strings attached are not the happily ever after she's looking for. When a real life Prince drops into her lap with his sweet daughter, she is swept up into her own fairy tale.
I love that I can mix up my women's fiction and fantasies with a feel-good book written by Teri. I'm very much looking forward to her next release, A Spot of Trouble!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media, Hallmark Publishing, and NetGalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

This was a cute story. I love a good royal romance and this one had me wishing they would kiss from the beginning. I would love to see a sequel with Ian and Ava, and so we could see more of these two and sweet Rose.

This book is exactly what you would expect from Hallmark Publishing and that is a great thing! While I like Hallmark movies, I prefer books because you get to know the characters so much better and this book was the best of both worlds. It had all of the warmth and sweetness of a Hallmark movie in book form. This book is a perfect light-hearted read when you need to escape from the stresses of everyday life or when you just can’t take a vacation during the summer. Overall, if you like Hallmark movies, you should definitely read this book. The audio version is fantastic with the narrator’s use of accents making “Prince Charming” even more swoon-worthy!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

If you could put into words what it is like to eat a gourmet cupcake, it would be this book!

What a sweet story! Lacey is just the good-hearted person you can't help but love. Then you have Henry with his daughter Rose that have such a strong bond despite growing up royal with a lot of rules and restrictions.

When Lacey and Henry meet the first time, you can't help but laugh out loud! Then as their story progresses, you grow to love their attraction to one another more and more.

I always love the Hallmark books. They are the good-hearted, clean love story that we all need in this day in age.

Lacy is a princess at a Florida theme park. Prince Henry decides to take his daughter Rose on a trip to the park for her seventh birthday. Rose’s mother died four years ago, and Henry just wants Rose to know how it feels to be a regular child. Rose is enchanted with Princess Sweet Pea and the park management assigns Lacy to be their guide for the duration of the vacation. Prince Henry quickly sees the goodness in Lacy and Rose loves to be with her. Once Prince Henry and Rose return home, Henry misses Lacy and invites her to his home in Bella-Moritz. This book was fun and an easy read. Henry’s love for his daughter, Lacy’s desire to help children feel special and loved, and the acceptance of the Queen as she witnesses Lacy’s contributions make it a great book.

A cute and fun fluffy romance, that's perfect for fans of Hallmark movies. (Which makes sense since it's a Hallmark Publishing book... though my inobservant self didn't see that tiny gold sticker at first lol)

It was cute, and just what I needed right now. It didn't feel like an almost 300 page book, the story flew by. I wish it had been a little bit longer only so I could get to know the characters better and see Lacey spend more time with Henry and Rose. I loved the back and forth Henry and Lacey had going on.

I willingly listened to a copy from NetGalley/Hallmark Publishing/ Dreamscape Media. All thoughts expressed are 100% my own.

This book was absolutely charming, (yes, that was on purpose). But I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Hallmark Romance. Lacey is the epitome of a perfect fairytale princess, spending her days as Princess Sweet Pea at a popular Florida theme park. She truly loves her job and goes out of her way to make the guest feel special. Real life Prince Henry is a widow who is looking to give his daughter, Princess Rose a special birthday before she makes her royal debut back home. Their initial encounter had me smiling the whole time, as did her “Princess Rules” and most of this book. It follows the typical troupe stereotypes, bubbly heroine, a somewhat broody prince who is reluctant to believe in a chance at love for himself and of course the adorable little girl to help bring them together. Throw in the fun BFF’s and the slightest bit of drama in trying to win the Queen’s approval and it’s the perfect tale.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a fun, light read, perfect for the start of the summer.

Brittany Pressley gave a wonderful performance with the narration of this audiobook. She captured Haley’s personality perfectly and definitely brought the story to life.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book is most every girl's dream come true; it certainly is mine. The main character, Lacey, is a genuinely good human being who puts kindness above all else and I love a strong, relatable main character. I simply couldn't put it down once I started reading. It was the typical cheesy Hallmark Rom-Com that we know and love. My only complaint was that it went a little too quickly. I would've liked to see the development in Lacey and Henry's relationship more before the happy ending, but other than that I loved it.
The audiobook was narrated beautifully. Brittany Pressley really made Lacey come alive.
Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for allowing me a chance to listen to the audiobook.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I’m such a sucker for cheesy hallmark romance and this book seriously delivered. It was light, fun and super cute!! All the things I’d expect from the hallmark brand, and all the things I love. Listening to the audiobook literally felt like I was watching a hallmark movie just without the visuals. It was perfect! Lacey’s character is such an absolutely sweetheart. I love her so much! I’m so happy this book had a happy ending for her! I wish there was more, I breezed through this one so fast!

Once Upon a Royal Summer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sometimes you need a palette cleanser. A book that just makes you believe in love and in fairytales. I love the sweet chemistry between Henry and Lacey. But even more, I LOVED the chemistry between Lacey and Rose, Henry’s daughter. I love that although Lacey works at an amusement park, she genuinely was a kind and loving person and loved what she does!

Henry is the prince of Bella-Moritz. With the pressures and duties, he decides to take Rose to an adventure park in Florida and give her a few days of being a normal kid celebrating her birthday. What he doesn’t see happening is falling for Lacey, a fairy tale princess at the park. This story was so sweet and cute and much needed.

Thank you Hallmark Publishing and Netgalley for the chance to listen to this audiobook.
The narrator did a fantastic job at keeping her dialogue crisp and at the same time, entertaining me.

Once Upon a Royal Summer by Teri Wilson is sweet summer escapism and I loved it.
Who hasn't wondered what it would be like to portray a popular character at a fairy tale theme park?

Lacey adores her job as Princess Sweet Pea at Once Upon a Time Amusement Park in Florida.
She has just ended a relationship, and isn't expecting to find romance while in her role as Princess Sweat Pea. But when she is assigned to a pair of VIP guests, who just happen to be a real life Prince and his daughter, her life takes an unexpected turn.

Henry, the crown prince of Bella-Moritz, is trying his best to be the father his daughter Rose needs since her mother passed away. Henry and his mother, the Queen don't always agree on what is best for Rose and her budding responsibilities, and he decides that taking Rose on a vacation to America is just the thing to help her have a little childhood fun.

Lacey and Henry have great chemistry and I enjoyed their connection as they learn more about their lives and begin to understand each other.
The first part of the story is at the theme park, where we see Lacey's life, but when the time comes for Henry to leave, he invites Lacey and her friend Ava to come to Bella-Moritz for their annual Flower Festival and Ball.

There are funny and sweet moments, and I smiled through the entire book. Brittany Pressley is the narrator of the audiobook and she was delightful. Her narration added an energy and humor to the story that made each chapter fly by.

I thought Lacey was so likeable. She was such a genuinely kind person and I was rooting for her to get her happy ending. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for something sweet, fun and charmingly predictable.
