Get this perfect summer fairytale read before you go on vacation. You might find your own prince charming

Once Upon a Royal Summer, by Teri Wilson, is this summer’s Cinderella story. Literally.
Oh, how I wish it were so easy. But, since it’s not, I’ll take a break from reality and enjoy this Cinderella.
Lacey, a genuine and sweet, motherless 20-something Florida maiden, is the star of the show as she plays the part of Princess Sweet Pea at her hometown Florida theme park, Once Upon a Time.
Hosting princess tea parties, dancing with fake Prince Charmings, and wandering the theme park in search of special fairy tale-loving boys and girls fulfills Lacey’s desire to soothe her still-grieving inner child. And Lacey’s life is bouncing along just fine until she breaks off her long-term relationship with her now former boyfriend/fiance and finds herself entertaining an adorable girl named Rose, who came to Once Upon a Time to celebrate her seventh birthday.
While Lacey thinks she is teaching young Rose how to be a princess by loving butterflies and showing kindness, she is oblivious that Rose is a real princess. And her father, gorgeous, widowed (of course), and sitting close by with a sarcastic grin on his face, Grumpy Ballcap, is watching as Lacey proceeds with her roleplay.
When it’s time for Princess Sweet Pea’s Royal Tea Party ballroom waltz, Lacey moves through her script and looks for a potential dance partner. Furious with Rose’s good-looking dad, Lacey decides to teach Grumpy Ballcap a royal lesson by asking him to waltz the floor while other tea party participants watch.
The moment their hands clasp, a new relationship is bound, and Lacey is connected to her real Prince Charming, who happens to be the actual prince of the small European country of Bella-Moritz.
Well, guess what happens next? This is a Hallmark Publishing Audiobook. (Available in paperback and electronic versions.)
Once Upon a Royal Summer is a mix of the actual fairytale, Princess and the Pea, Cinderella, and the popular movie, Princess Diaries. It is formulaic and predictable. A widowed prince brings his daughter to America looking for a break from his royal duties and finds the last thing he thought he wanted, a princess with which to spend the rest of his life.
At the end of his vacation, he invites Lacey and her bestie, who plays Little Red Riding Hood, back to Bella-Moritz to meet the family – who, of course, have an issue with a theme park princess capturing the heart of their royal heir.
I remember the day I sat in a Barstow, California movie theater and watched Princess Diaries for the first time. It was a hot, stressful day full of nasty people doing nasty things. But, sitting in that cool theater seat, eating Milk Duds, and watching that ridiculously unbelievable story unfold was just what I needed to relieve that intense unhappy moment.
Once Upon a Royal Summer offers the same stress release. On audiobook, it’s a great listen-to while on a long vacation trip with the kids. The kids would love this. So would the dog. But be warned. I’m not guaranteeing your own prince charming would find this fun escape story entertaining.
But that’s okay. Your Grumpy Ballcap can just look out the window at the scenery, or better yet, he can drive.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the arc.
I knew I was going to just love this book and I did!! I really enjoyed her other book, The Accidental beauty queen and I was hoping this would be as good. I am thankful to say it is just as good as the other and I couldn't put it down! I love cute, funny romance books like this! I can't wait for another book from Teri Wilson!

This book is perfect for the Hallmark brand. It's a twist on a modern fairytale. Lacey plays a princess character at a popular theme park and truly loves her job, even if other people think it's childish. When Henry, a real crown-prince brings his daughter to the park posing as regular tourists, sparks fly. Lacey connects with his daughter Rose and their connection helped make this book feel authentic. Who doesn't love a happily ever after. I just wished the ending wasn't so rushed.

The narrator was wonderful!

Lacey and Henry’s story was just so sweet. I couldn’t put this down - it wasn’t exactly steamy, but it was so precious. I loved the evolution of their relationship and the happy ending.

Once Upon A Royal Summer by Teri Wilson

Lacey plays a princess character at a popular fairytale theme park in Florida. Her tiara may be fake, but the smiles she brings on the faces of the kids is not.

Her boyfriend, Mark, just doesn’t get her job choice! They break it off. Lacey has no desire to date again anytime soon.

Henry, is the crown prince of Bella-Moritz, who’s wife died four years ago. Henry decides to bring his daughter, Rose to America to the fairytale theme park, acting like regular tourists.

Will meeting the make-believe princess lead to true love?

What a sweet love story! Such a wonderful and magical story!

Thank you Teri Wilson, Hallmark Piblishing - Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio to listen to this book in return for my honest review!

It’s a very cutesy book and an easy read. Unfortunately, it was very predictable. I wish the timeframe for everything that played out was a little longer. The story felt rushed and the events that played out felt inappropriate for the timeline.

This story was so delightful. I loved every minute of it! I quite enjoy reading about Royals and romance incorporated in it! Truly the perfect mix. Lacey I liked from the very beginning - she stood up for herself in a relationship and continued to follow her dream (or dream job). The story follows Lacey's POV (for the most part) - and especially with listening to an audiobook I find it is important to like the main character. Prince Henry's character was very kind and charming and especially made my heart throb when he was with his daughter Rose. I could totally see the romance coming and the slow burn of Lacey and Henry's relationship was so great! Very much a feel good story.

I hope this is not the end of their story! I could for sure see this as being a series or at least a second book to catch up with the characters!

Audiobook narrator was excellent. One of the better ones I have listened to in a while.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review.

Are you dreaming of a Disney vacation with a sprinkling of romance? Then this is the book for you!

Hallmark does it again with such an adorable summer read! This truly would make the most adorable Hallmark movie.

Lacey works as a princess at a Disney-like theme park. Prince Henry brings his daughter to the theme park to celebrate her birthday. You can totally see where this is going right?! But honestly such a cute fast read and it just makes you so dang happy!!

This is not a steamy read - they barely even kiss (honestly I can always do with a bit more steam) but that doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story!

I definitely enjoyed this one! Thank you @netgalley for this audiobook and @hallmarkpublishing !

Thanks to Ms. Wilson, Hallmark Publishing, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook prior to its release.

Sometimes, a Hallmark story is just what the doctor ordered for a dose of happiness during a pandemic. The saga of a Disney-esque theme park costumed princess who meets cute with an incognito prince and his daughter was charming, light and satisfying. The novel offers character growth, insights into friendship and family, plus pragmatic problem-solving that turned the spotlight onto “Princess” Lacey and opened Prince Henry’s eyes to new love despite his family’s strictures.

The narrator, Brittany Pressley, was a perfect match to the story line, creating a wide range of authentic accents and characters.

Hallelujah to no dark tortured psycho-sexual trauma or heavy-handed social messaging! Was the happy ending simplistic? It’s a fairy tale. . . it’s entitled! (Got it?)

My favorite moments: under pressure, Lacey presents a full deep drama curtsy, complete with Cinderella hands! She can’t seem to stop doing it. Made me snort.

Little girls always dream of being a princess. I liked this sweet tail of a theme park princess into a real royal world!
I did have a few parts in the beginning that I was struggling to follow but as soon as it all clicked together I enjoyed this book. Fun read.

This audiobook is amazing! I love the way the voice actors bring the characters to life! They tell the story of how Lacey and Henry meet and eventually fall in love!
I was first drawn to this story because it take place in a theme park, a fairy tale themed theme park! I mean how awesome does that place sound, but I digress. The way Henry and Lacey meet is adorable, each interaction between the two seems so genuine. This story had me from the beginning, and kept me interested to the very end! There is a part of me that hopes we can have a happily ever after sequel so we know what happens next!
Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance copy of the audiobook! This is my honest review of this audiobook.

Once Upon a Royal Summer by Teri Wilson is a delightful modern fairytale to make your heart swoon. Lacey, a theme park princess, meets Henry, the crown prince of the small European country of Bella-Moritz and, his daughter Rose at a fairytale theme park in southern Florida where she works. Romance blossoms during their visit and, Lacey is left wondering if the emotions she felt are real and reciprocated.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Fairytale story, reminiscent of a Hallmark romantic comedy movie. It was an enjoyable and quick read with characters that touched my heart for their reliability. Additionally, the narration by Brittany Pressley was amazing as she captured different accents beautifully. I kept wanting to hear her next character's voice.

Teri Wilson has once again given us a delightful novel that is both captivating, funny, enjoyable, and romantic. I highly recommend this as a summer read or listen, perfect for all who believe n happily ever after.

Five Sparkly Tiara Stars.
What little girl wouldn't love to visit Florida and the Once Upon a Time theme park for her birthday, and have Princess Sweet Pea as her tour guide and new friend? In Teri Wilson's wondrous book, Rose had just this trip, and she happens to be a little princess herself.
Her father Henry, Prince of a province in the French Riviera, tried to keep their royalty a secret on Rose's birthday celebration trip to this enchanted fairy tale wonderland. Pretty and kind Princess Sweet Pea is Lacey, who loves her job at the park, making sure each child who visits makes magical memories to cherish.
Lacey and Rose become instant friends during a park tea party, bonding over all things sparkly and princess-like. After newly single Lacey shares an entrancing waltz with widower Henry, who temporarily manages to hide his royalness under a baseball cap, a love story emerges that sweetens the tale even more.
What I loved most about this book was the way it made me as if I was actually at Once Upon a Time with Lacey, Henry and Rose, sharing the dazzling magic of their meeting during this royal summer. Brittany Pressley was perfection in her narration of this delightful story, which kept me smiling for each moment of listening.
Thank you to Net Galley, Dreamscape Media, and Hallmark Publishing for the Advance Reader's Copy of the audiobook and the opportunity to provide a review.

✨This book is a hallmark princess movie in book form and I loved it! 👑

Lacey works at a theme park that’s definitely not based on Disney, dressing up and playing Princess Sweetpea, the princess from the Princess and the Pea. She loves her job and making kids happy in sunny Florida. Enter Henry, the crown prince of Bella-Moritz, who has brought his young daughter, Rose, to the American amusement park 🏰. He is widowed, and has been struggling between giving his daughter a childhood full of fun, and getting her to participate in her Royal duties.

This book is too adorable, full of princesses and hallmark style love. Lacey and Henry are thrown together and don’t necessarily like each other at first, but they have fun banter. Also super adorable is Rose - she becomes obsessed with Lacey and Princess Sweetpea and Lacey wants to make sure she has the best birthday trip ever🎠. It’s a family friendly romance and includes everything a feel-good hallmark romance book should.

If you love watching hallmark movies like I do, then you will also love this book! Will Lacey, Henry, and Rose have a happy ever after? You’ll have to read it to find out! (Publishing date is June 15). 🥰

Thank you to @netgalley and @hallmarkpublishing for a free copy of the audio book, in exchange for my honest review.

I was a little torn on whether to give this a 3 or a 4, but I realized the things I was nit picking are the very things I love in cheesy romance movies. Don't look for this book to get too deep but it provides you with a fun cast of characters to root for. They did a really good job creating a fake disney and working it into plot points in the story. I also found it refreshing that the major kind of issue that could break them up wasn't the cliche bad person you think its going to be. Over all this is a fun quick story full of tropes to escape into.
The audiobook narrator was great and did a wonderful job distinguishing characters. My one issue is she gave Henry and his family posh English accents but when they go back to there country use French. It took me out of the story for a second. But everything else was amazing.

Absolutely Wonderful!! I have enjoyed everything. I love the narrator, but the story is what really is great. Princesses everywhere, love it. The romance is nice, but I really enjoy Princess Rose's character. I can't wait to read other books by Teri Wilson.

Once Upon a Royal Summer by Teri Wilson
A contemporary royal romance from Hallmark publishing.
Lacey has been working at a Florida theme park as a Royal Princess for years. She loves making all the children happy. It’s her dream job even though some don’t understand. After meeting a little girl that says she a princess too and then waltzing with the girl’s father, Lacey is surprised to learn they really are Royals. Lacey spends the next several days being a personal escort for the two at the theme park, with Lacey and the child dressed in matching costumes.
Of course love blooms, first with the child, and then with the father.

Typical Hallmark with a best friend confidant, a manipulative mother, an ex, and a forbidden romance. Here you get all that with an adorable child, shared loss of a mother, shared princess costumes including tiara, and a father that wants the best for his child.
There are more cute twists that are predictable but isn’t that what we like about Hallmark and these stories?
A guaranteed happily ever after for all. Sappy, sweet and solid gold.

I listened to an audiobook that was narrated by Brittany Presley. It was well timed, comfortable to listen to and exactly matched what I would expect of a Hallmark narration.

I received a copy of an audiobook from NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing and #DreamscapeMedia.
