Secrets of Our House by Rea Frey

This was my first Rea Frey book and all I can say is she has managed to write a quite delightful psychological thriller that kept me guessing till the end.
A tension filled domestic thriller that gripped me from the very first page.
The tension was seriously ramped up the entire book. Which I loved!
With well-written characters and suffused with emotion, Secrets of Our House is a riveting story.
Desi and the other characters were great and intriguing.
An addictive read with an ending I’m still thinking about.

Thanks again NetGalley, Publisher and Author for the chance to read and review this amazing book!
I'll post to my Social media platforms closer to pub date!

Thank you Netgalleay and St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin for the arc of this book. I read Until I Find You by the same author and really liked it. In this book, I didn’t connect with any of the characters and thought Desi was terrible. It was obvious how self-centered she was when she brought a couple of things up at totally inappropriate times. I won’t give spoilers, but it was like what?!
The writing was great as I expected, and while I had figured out most of what was going on, something happened near the end that surprised me and added some tension to the story. The book kept me interested until the end, even though I’m conflicted about the ending! 3.5 stars rounded up to four.

From the outside, it looks like Desi has it all; the perfect house, a charming husband. But scratch the surface and underneath the veneer Desi is in love with another man and her past is far from perfect. As she and her family vacation in the mountains for the summer, that past comes back to haunt her as she and her family face a vacation that will change everything. Billed as a mystery, this is really more a family saga, albeit with a heroine with a shady past
