To my knowledge, I do not recall having ever read a story about two dental students….so I was unsure as far as what to expect given that this is not an area I have any knowledge about. Let me just say that this story is wonderful! I instantly fell in love with Harper and her group of friends, each with colorful and unique personalities! The romantic connection between Dan and Harper is precious and so enjoyable to read about! Harper’s struggles with anxiety and the pressures she puts on herself in striving for perfection are something so familiar in many lives yet not something we often read about in romantic comedies! I loved everything about this book and the entertaining writing style of Mazey Eddings was the perfect accompaniment to a dynamic setup in terms of characters and plot lines. This story will be released March 1, 2022 and I am telling you—it is a must to add to your list and pre-order as it is sure to be a smash hit!

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Griffin Publishing for the opportunity to read this Netgalley! All opinions and reflections are unique to me!

I think this might just be one of my most favourite romances EVER. I thought my heart was ready for it. I was wrong.

I love Dan and Harper so much I could cry. The anxiety rep was beautifully depicted; raw and honest. The chemistry between the characters made me need to turn the hose on myself.

I love, love, love this sexy, sweet, and wonderful book.

I liked the premise for this book. I have not read a book yet set in dental school so I was entertained by learning about new terminologies and traditions. I felt like the two MCs fell into rather an insta love. I liked what the author was trying to do by representing an invisible disability. I liked how the male mc was supportive and understanding. I would have liked the two characters to build a bit before hitting that all consuming passion threshold.

A Brush with Love is an adorable debut with a unique settings and rich characters. Dan and Harper had amazing chemistry, and I adored all of the supporting characters, especially Harper's friends. I loved how Eddings managed to discuss mental health issues, grief, and sexism within the workplace while keeping this a light and tender book that feels like a safe little vacation from the real world!

Also a grocery shopping date? Yeah, I'm here for it.

Can't wait to read more from Mazey Eddings!

Attraction and lust grab a hold of a determined and studious dental student and a struggling one. The draw is messing up her orderly world and plans. The problems they encounter seem insurmountable unless something or someone breaks.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this e-ARC! Fans of contemporary romance will love this new book by Mazey Eddings. The main character, Harper, spoke to me as an anxiety-ridden overachiever. I felt SEEN with this anxiety rep! The setting of dental school also was very intriguing- it was almost like a mouth only Grey’s Anatomy vibe.

To go from 4 stars to 5 stars for me, personally, the instalove could have been a little less insta. I know it’s a thing in Romance, but it still takes me out of the story a bit. I am excited to read the next book in this universe!

This is a fun book that includes romance, anxiety rep, and information about dentistry that I never would have known had I not read this book. This is definitely a cute rom-com that you'll want to have your eyes on in 2022.

A cute romantic comedy with a surprising amount of depth. The way the author handles mental illness, specifically generalized anxiety, was intelligent and respectful. I was rooting for Harper from start to finish.

Cute romance with some depth to it. Harper is an aspiring dentist who has dealt with anxiety her whole life. Her life was carefully constructed to allow her to stay in control, then she meets Dan and her walls came crashing down.

Dan grew up with an abusive father and is struggling with his own issues of guilt and being a disappointment to his late father.

All in all, a nice read. Somewhat predictable in places, but also laugh out loud funny and endearing in others.

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a digital ARC in return for an honest review.

The way that Eddings handles mental illness is impeccable. I could feel Harper's anxiety seeping off the page, but she handled it with such care. So many readers are going to feel seen by reading this book. Dan is a delightful match for Harper - I loved his backstory.

This book made me want to ask my dentist if this is what school was like for her! A cute romantic comedy, but with real life scenarios.

This Book. This book hits different. The conversations and characters this author is able to produce is INCREDIBLE. I am SHOCKED this is a debut because its just that good.

A book that makes me laugh, tear up, and smile giddily at my screen definitely means I’ve found a winner and this book did all of that and more. I have never seen struggles with anxiety and grief along with the struggles of being a female in a male-dominated field written so personally and powerfully. It all really spoke to me and hit close to home.
This paired with the sweetest couple, Harper and Dan, made this a book that fully had me invested from the beginning. Harper and Dan’s relationship is so intricate and written so beautifully with their struggles and bond and just the way that their Love is continuous amid the challenges was beautiful. They both have their own struggles that gnaw at them in differing ways but both come out stronger and is done in a way that is so tasteful.
But, don’t get me wrong when I laughed I LAUGHED this book is just the perfect mix and makes it such a genuine joy to read honestly is one of those books that makes the heart feel good!

This book has so many intricate parts that make it the incredible powerful story it is (without being overwhelming of some aspects, as with the topics present it could easily sway) it has just the right amount of everything the author wants to say sprinkled in making it a novel I CANNOT WAIT to share with my friends when it releases in March 2022!! BIG Mazey Eddings fan after reading this and I am so excited to see what she does next!

Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press/ St. Martin’s Griffin for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest review.

I definitely loved this book. As an anxiety sufferer I found those scenes and the struggle for perfection to be raw and vulnerable and spot on. My heart broke for Harper and the loss of her mom as well - I found her character to be extremely relatable to myself.

The meet cute seemed to happen extremely quick and the relationship spanned across the entire book which is a change from the slow development that occurs in many romance novels. Definitely not a slow burn on getting to know each other. A bit of a slow burn on the relationship side.

I did think some of the book was a bit rushed and maybe could have been developed a tiny bit more, but ultimately I would rate this book positively and recommend it to all of my friends, especially my med school colleagues looking for some fluff.

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK! It took me only 24 hours to read because I could NOT put it down. What an amazing ride this was. Without giving away too much information, this book was really just.... *chef's kiss.* Our main girl suffers from extreme social anxiety, and I adored how the offer really made this known from tiny, little snippets. Like wringing her hands together, tapping a finger, unable to look people in the eyes, withdrawing, and immediately removing herself from situations that may cause her emotional embarrassment. It was clear that the author knew what she was writing about and I loved that. It made Harper that much more real.

And Dan, oh Dan. I love Dan. He was so dorky and cute to begin with and he's just so full of... baggage. It makes for an emotional ride. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SCENE WITH JUDY THE CAT? MY FAVE!

This book is definitely going on my perma-shelf and I will be recommending to everyone I know who loves a good romance-comedy-drama. The writing was fabulous. The story was stellar. And I really, truly, cannot wait for more from this author.

THANK YOU TO THE PUBLISHER AND NETGALLEY FOR A FREE E-COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I love a good chic lit and a beachy read. This book checked the boxes.

Was it a great book-no. Was it awful-no. It's middle of the road. I found myself skimming a lot just to skip to the dialogue.

This book is spectacular. I loved this romance between Harper and Dan because there was so much more to the story than just falling in love. Harper struggles with extreme anxiety and panic attacks - both of which are detailed in the book. I could relate to some of her feelings, and I felt the author handled this topic accurately and with sensitivity. Dan struggled with guilt and shame, which is also explored.
I loved the setting. I can't say I've ever read a book set in dental school, and it was so interesting. I enjoyed this deeper look into the profession, including looking at the racism and privilege that exists in this field.
The friends are great. I just loved Thu. I think everyone needs friends like her and Alex among with the rest. I can't wait to read her next books.

Thank you @netgalley for this ARC. It was interesting to read a book in a medical field setting. Harper is a top student at a dental school who is focused and driven and does not want anything to get in her way and distract her. Dan a first-year student at the school and after an accidental run-in he becomes her distraction. She tried to hold off on her feelings for Dan but cannot. until Harper feels out of control and her anxiety shows up and she spins out of control. They try to work through their issues and the anger Harper has a Dan. don't want to give anything away so go grab this book and find out... you won't be disappointed.

Did I just love and laugh at a book about dentistry? Okay, I totally did. I never thought I’d enjoy a book about dentists or dental students but A Brush With Love is a gem. The dialogue is terrific and witty. It’s full of heart and charming characters. I loved it! I really enjoyed Harper and Dan. Their friendship was sweet and honest, but full of insane chemistry. Honestly, I didn’t want this book to end!

I definitely requested this on accident, but it seemed so interesting in the beginning that I decided to give it a shot.

The main character's anxiety seems realistically portrayed in the first part of the book. (Note: I do not have diagnosed anxiety, so these are only my impressions as an outsider.) Once the main character starts to have feeling for her crush, though, I call BS. They don't yet know each other well, but when they're together, she has less anxiety. Since there are physical/chemical components to that, it seems like saying someone's CFS is better when they're near their crush, or their IBS isn't as bad. I don't think that's realistic, and I imagine it would be hurtful to people who do have anxiety.

It's a New Adult novel, so neither main character is honest with their friends, confronting their family issues, or very honest. A somewhat promising beginning but then more of the same 20-something problems. Not memorable.

*sigh* EVERYONE SIT DOWN WHILE I WAX POETIC ABOUT THIS BOOK

This book saved me. It was EXACTLY what I needed. A neurodiverse main female character who happens to be an ethnic minority struggling through her crazy stressful grad school, juggling studying, friendship, love, and finding a way to accept and love herself?? SIGN ME TF UP. The connection I found with this book was everything. Not to mention it is KNEE SLAPPING HILARIOUS!
Harper is a character you will find impossible not to love. And Dan...sweet pure baby Dan....he is the soft beta male hero of my DREAMS. Like every sweet historical romance character mixed with a deadly attractive face and a confidence in himself that will have you reeling...good GOD this man was created to haunt me specifically, ruining me for any other man, fictional or not. Whether you like new age adult romance or not, this book has something for you. I'm honestly astonished this is a new author debut book, I cannot wait to read more of this author!

Just do me a favor and read this book ASAP. You won't regret a single second.
