Besides my visceral reaction to starting off with an invitation to the reunion for the class of 2011 (too soon!), this was a cute story that I was able to read in one sitting. It's perfect to pick up even if you haven't read the rest of the Wild River series as there wasn't a lot of crossover and the MCs are new to us characters.

Thanks to Harlequin and Netgalley for my copy to review.

I loved this book from start to finish!
There were a few times I wanted to smack the leading lady... (LOL) and say wake up girl... look what's in front of you! HAHAH

Callum is amazing. Wonderful employee, sad in his life and smitten over Ellie.

Trust me, if you like sweet friends to lovers kind of story-- this is your cuppa tea!!!

Wonderful story!!

4 stars from me.

*I especially loved the ending!!!*

Recv'd a copy via Netgalley.

Ellie, a storekeeper is pining for her high school boyfriend worry about her high school reunion. What more he is attending the reunion too. She can’t turn up alone and face him. So, when Callum asked to go with her as her fake boyfriend, she reluctantly agreed. He have been in love with her and he was thinking that while pretending to be her fake boyfriend, he can show her his true feeling. But things got a bit complicated when Ellie’s ex started to give her the attention that she wanted all this while.

It is a fun read with family and friendship as it’s main them. It filled with adventure, laughter and laughter between the main characters

I LOVE this series so much. I did really enjoy this one as well despite the fact I don't care anything about HS reunions. Loved the hero's backstory and was honestly rooting for him way more than the heroine. Jen Snow continues to bring the heat and love all the Search and Rescue components of this series.

Theres nothing better then a class reunion to get people to question their life choices. Ellie has been working in a bookstore for a while and now kinda feeling stuck. She should've been a teacher and with her ex Brett who might also attend the reunion. Callum has a thing for Ellie offers to be her fake boyfriend. Maybe while pretending to be her boyfriend he can show her how he really feels but things start to get a bit more complicate as the lie goes on and its clear she wants her ex back.

This was a pretty eventful book I really enjoyed it. Its a fake boyfriend scenario to clearly mishaps and confusion are bound to take place. Then theres Callum who has seen Ellie for a while and crushing on her knowing who she was and seeing how she was around her school mates was tough on him. He didn't like seeing her turn into some people pleaser for these people who were once the popular crowd in school. He was so supportive and was trying hard to get Ellie to fall for him and he just watched over and over as Ellie bended over backwards trying to get her ex and these people. Then there's the whole backstories to these two characters that can't help but make you want to hug them and hope for the best and root for a better future for these two because they are working hard towards it. When it came to the romance I did like what I was seeing and enjoyed it. Overall this was a pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

Jennifer Snow can do no wrong in this series! It’s adorable and fun with just the right amount of steam. I also like that the series can be read as stand alone stories, but the characters are all interwoven in each one.
Ellie had dreams of being a teacher, but when her parents pass away, she finds she can’t afford college so she takes a job in the local bookstore and, 10 years later, she’s still working there. Now it’s time for her high school reunion, and Ellie hopes that revisiting her first love will bring him back to her life, as she’s never gotten over him even after all this time. Her co-worker and good friend volunteers to be her plus one for the reunion so that she doesn’t look as pathetic as she feels and they come up with a plan to make her ex jealous, but in the process, they look differently at their friendship.
The fake boyfriend trope can be cheesy sometimes, but thankfully that’s not the case with this book. He characters have personalities that get the reader invested in and it’s just an overall great escape read!
And there’s a bonus short story that had me wrapped up in and hoping it’s a preview for her next book! ;)
Thanks to HQN Books and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.

The Wild River series by Jennifer Snow is one that can be read in any order. Each book features a different main couple and their stories, but there will be some recurring characters in the books. This is only the third book in the series I have read and I enjoyed it very much. Ellie Mitchell had plans to become a teacher, but when her parents die, she gets a job at the local bookstore and ten years later, she is still there. She is concerned about attending her highschool reunion, especially showing up alone and facing her highschool boyfriend who is bringing a gorgeous model. Callum McKendrick is in love with Ellie but just sees him as a friend. When he offers to go with Ellie to her reunion and being her fake boyfriend, Ellie is not sure but accepts. This is Callum's chance to prove that he could be more than a friend and that he and Ellie would make a great couple.

This was a fun fake boyfriend story. Ellie was so blinded by her memories of her ex, that she couldn't see what was right in front of her. This story isn't just a romance. There are themes of following your dreams, family relationships, mental health and moving forward. Ellie is rather shy and did not have a lot of friends. It was hard watching her change and become something she wasn't to try to fit in with her old highschool mates. Callum was such a great character. Not only was he a long suffering admirer, but he also supported his brother who dealt with a lot of anxiety and put up with his bullying father. He supported Ellie, even when he knew she was making the wrong decision. I enjoyed this story and loved watching Ellie change, mature and realize what she really wanted. There are a few graphic scenes (a couple only dreams, but steamy) however they were easily skimmed over without disrupting the story.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a decent book with enjoyable characters, but was nothing special.

Callum comes from money, yet works at a bookstore instead of 5ge family resort, donating his salary to charitable causes. He's also a pt volunteer member for local search and rescue.

Ellie cones from humble beginnings and dreamed of being a teacher but after losing her parents after high school, she was forced to go to work in the local bookstore. Don't get ne wrong, she loves her job but as her 10 year HS reunion approaches , she's questioning her life choices.

Somehow Callum and Ellie end up attending not only her reunion but agree to 5 days at a wilderness resort with her former boyfriend and their group of HS friends. To top it off their friends think they're engaged, but she wants to investigate rekindling the romance with her ex: and the fun ensues.

A fun read with family angst, friendship drama, and an awakening of sorts that proves reality is stranger than anything we can imagine.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

Callum McKendrick has been in love with Ellie since forever, but he’s sure she doesn't take him seriously. Offering to be her date for the reunion—and the post-reunion wilderness retreat—is his chance to show Ellie just what she’s missing by being stuck in the past. But will becoming Ellie's fake boyfriend be enough to prove that Callum is her perfect match?

A Wild River Novel

Book 1: An Alaskan Christmas
Book 2: Under an Alaskan Sky
Book 3: A Sweet Alaskan Fall
Book 4: Stars Over Alaska
Book 5: Alaska Reunion

Review: I had a completely different summary in my head when I started this so it took my brain a moment to wrap around what was happening. I knew it was a school reunion but I must have been thinking of another one like this on my TBR. I love Callum, definitely not his name but all of the rest of him. I think I'll give this book 4.5 stars it was a good read and I'm a little obsessed with their fake romance and how much Callum likes Ellie. I am trying to avoid giving it 5 stars just because it is lightyears better than my last read. It was a little forgettable but once your reading it you remember how sweet it is. I also will definitely be back tracking and reading the first four books in the series because of how sweet this one has been. I want to smack Brent 90% because he reminds me of my toxic ex and 10% because he is a grade A jerk. I've wanted to smack him throughout this whole book. Such a great, quick read.

Unanswered Prayers. This is another solid continuation of this loosely-coupled series where the couples in each book may show up in the others, but the focus of each story is its leading couple. Here, we get a great and fun forced proximity / fake relationship romance... that of course (because it *is* a romance novel) becomes a real one. Solid fun in the Alaskan setting, including getting out on the multitudinous waterways of the region and even some climbing and other more adventuresome activities. For the clean/ sweet crowd... ummm... maybe sit this one out. ;) For those that like intense sex scenes (nothing particularly kinky, just enough steam to drive a dang electric generator), I think you'll like this one. :) Snow knows her genre very well, and this is a perfect example of that. Very much recommended.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Ellie and Callum. They both work at a bookstore. Ellie’s high school reunion is coming up she needs a date for the reunion. Callum has been love with Ellie for two years but Ellie doesn’t know this. At the reunion Ellie starts to see Callum different. Callum tells Ellie he is in love with her. Ellie and Callum have problems. They work through their problems and find true love.

An enjoyable romantic read even if it was slightly on the predictable side. But some times you just to read something that you know how it's going to end. Because you don't need any surprises and you don't need any stress.

Alaska Reunion included elements which would have worked to make the ultimate romantic setting for me: a fantastic bookstore, a hot guy who loves books and writes, and a rescue fox. However, the main character, Ellie, was entirely unlikeable. She used Callum, her supposed friend, and after having him profess his love for her, tosses him to the side to see if she can rekindle what she thought she once had with her old high school boyfriend. Not until after she finally realizes her ex is a total jerk does she turn to Callum and want to have a relationship with him. This really isn't Ellie's story. Much of the book is written more from Callum's perspective, which could have been an interesting change if he hadn't constantly allowed Ellie to use him and treat him like a foot mat. Ellie ended up reading like a spoiled high school brat who never grew up rather than a strong woman worthy of someone who was willing to give up so much of his life for others.
