The 5 Minute Bedtime Christmas Stories for Kids breaks down the Christmas stories into little stories that you can read with your little ones each night. Each story has the verse, a bit of explanation and then a prayer and either a song or poem. I started reading these with my 6 year old daughter but a lot of the words went over her head due to the version if the Bible used so I spent a lot of time explaining what the words meant. I think if a different version was used and if some of the poems used language that our kids normally hear instead of Old English, it would be very easy to recommend. As is, if you pick it up, just know you'll need to explain harder words to younger readers/listeners. The illustrations are age appropriate and cute.

This sweet book contains thirty, easy-to-read stories that are easy for little ones to understand. My little one enjoys it, and each story is the perfect length for bedtime and to keep the attention of a little one. The pictures, the Bible texts, and other quotes augment the stories and add variety. It is a great gift for the upcoming holiday or--even better--in the lead-up to Christmas.

Renae Brumbaugh Green's 5-minute Bedtime Christmas Stories for Kids is an awesome devotion book for kids to read during the Christmas season. Each devotion has pictures, a Bible verse, a prayer, and a carol/poem. I liked how the book broke down the Christmas story into small nuggets and made the reader think about what they were reading and made it applicable to their life. I highly recommend this book and will be telling others about it. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (My review is also on Goodreads.)

5- Minute Bedtime Christmas Stories for Kids by Renae Brumbaugh Green. These stories are wonderful. My granddaughter will love them as she gets a little older. She likes books she can sit and look at with pictures. The illustrations are cute.

What an adorable book! I love that each devotional has a Scripture, then more of a narrative devotional, a prayer, and a poem. The pictures are colorful and engaging and the story topics delve into so much more than a typical Christmas book. For example, I loved the story about Mary believing in God to do the impossible and the story about Jesus being adopted by Joseph. This is an sweet book that I would definitely by for my kids or for a gift.

This Bible story collection did everything I wanted! I hate it when Bible stories are dumbed down for kids and simplified to the point of two sentences. This collection did the opposite and embraced all aspects of Christmas in the Bible and told it in an approachable way. It covers the story, a prayer and a poem or hymn that re-enforces the theme. I also appreciated how the Wise Men visited a two year old Jesus and how every story was captioned with a verse. I want to buy this for my work (daycare) and for my niece and nephews.

I didn't enjoy the book. I didn't feel the stories were 5 minutes in length. The illustrations did nothing for me and left me rather annoyed. There are more than 25 stories so you would need to begin reading the book before December to kind of hit the mark to finish at Christmas.

Instead of calling this book "Bedtime story", it is more like devotionals for little kids during Christmastime. To know the story of Jesus' birth can encourage them. How they are loved, special, and taken care for by their Beloved Father God. And to know who God really is. He sent Jesus to us, so we may know salvation through Him. And being saved is not a mere gift, because God will always do what He promised us.

A sweet collection of bedtime stories to share with your little ones and celebrate the true Spirit of Christmas. The stories are short enough to capture the attention of kids, recommended ages five to eight, and illustrated beautifully for all to appreciate. It made me want to snuggle in with my littles and start the season early. I love that the stories include Scripture and a prayer. This would make a great gift for anyone looking to share the beauty of Christmas with kids.

This is a wonderful book! I like the way each story begins with the applicable Bible verses and ends with a sweet little prayer. The simple stories are the perfect length for my preschool classrooms, the illustrations are cute, and the songs are a nice touch. These books will make a wonderful Christmas gift!
