There aren't enough words to express how good and timely and just NECESSARY this book is. It's not at all surprising because Natalie Franke continues to be THE rising tide that lifts all boats. So grateful for the rawness and honesty of this book. If you're a creative and especially an entrepreneur, I highly recommend!!!

Built to Belong was completed unexpected. I was excited to read Natalie Frankie’s book but didn’t expect the honesty and depth this book provided. This book was full of real life examples of loneliness and feeling like an outsider with so much honesty and a rawness that felt way too relatable.

Thank you to Net Galley and the author for allowing me the opportunity to read this book prior to its publish date. I enjoyed it so much I bought an extra copy for a friend.

Built to Belong is the single best book I read in 2021 and truly embodies the fact that #communityovercompetition is more than a hashtag. Natalie's writing is thoughtful and unpacks the ideas behind community in a way that encourages you to create your own. A fantastic read!

This book will inspire you to ditch the vanity metrics and remember what business is really about: serving your community. As a lifelong community builder and co-founder of Rising Tide Society, Natalie blended the best of scientific research, actionable advice, and storytelling in this book. I devoured it in less than 24 hours and would say it's THE book on community building for creatives. Also, can we talk about how gorgeous this cover is?!

This book is for you if:
- you have a vision that's greater than yourself
- you've felt isolated or alone as a solopreneur
- you want to nurture relationships rather than simply raising your follower counts
- you don't mind if your non-fiction books get a little nerdy!

Built to Belong is a great self-help-style book for the social media age. So many of us spend a majority of our time online, and feel lonely and that we lack real connection. This book acknowledges that and how much we need relationships and support, and then gives you advice on how to tackle that. It is especially geared toward entrepreneurs and those who have the desire to build their own community (like around a service, a good, or something that they see a need for). Franke uses personal stories and challenges that she's faced to show how community, both in person and online/created, have strengthened her, and then gives specific tips and steps on how to achieve that yourself.

I enjoyed this read! It encouraged me and made me want to use my social media to build each other up and support, rather than view everyone as competition. That was a main theme throughout the book-community over competition. This book would be a great read for anyone looking for more in their social media or wanting to repurpose their internet use, or anyone who wants to build a community and find people with similar interests!

Thank you to Netgalley and Worthy Books for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank You to Netgalley, Natalie Franke and publisher for providing an advanced e-copy for me to share my opinion with others.

Built to Belong by Natalie Franke is the most relevant, on point and necessary self help book I've seen in quite some time. I know many readers stay out of the self help section, believing most of the title on the shelf are filled with "new agey" garble with little difference seen between one title and the other. I don't blame you; my normal reaction to self help book recommendations is an eye=roll and to keep scrolling so you can believe me when I say STOP SCROLLING and PAY ATTENTION.

Todays world gives the impression that we are the most connected generation ever. We scroll through our feeds seeing picture and picture, blurb after blurb about how so and so is doing this or that, how great do they look how happy they must be. The problem with this is that blurb is all we have to go on, and most accept that without thinking. That blurb, that photo was designed to catch your attention, to give a good impression of the person who made the post; Even when something negative is hinted at it's done so in a way that hides how much pain the person really is in.

Not to mention that everything we see on our phones, our laptops, tablets, televisions are all designed specifically for us based on information gathered about your mindless scrolling habit or impulsive three am shopping spree to cheer yourself up. We tend to follow these suggestions because they are put in front of us. Because why would we wonder if its the best or if the company is good to its employees or the community in general? Those are exactly the things we SHOULD be caring about.

Built to Belong clearly shows how humans are wired to need connection, to need others. It also shows how everyone benefits when we find what we seek both in our personal relationships and at work or within the business itself. This is a guide showing you how to go from lonely empty miserable scrolling to forming the kind of relationships we all desperately want: real, personal, mutual respect, empathy, a person or company who looks out for their friends as well as themselves.

The best part of all of that? She does it WITHOUT the cheesy hippy mush that makes us roll our eyes and toss the book back on the shelf, going right back to how we existed before picking it up. This book with inspire and encourage you to have what you want, it will sit in your brain and poke until you decide to start making a change.

Personally I knew I was going to follow the authors advice from just a few pages in to the book, and that is exactly what I am doing. Making changes that are proven to nourish our souls, our community. I don't want to change alone though. I want all of you to just give this book a read. Not too long and simple to understand there is no reason you shouldn't at least give it a read. You'll be doing yourself and your community a favor; don't take my word for it read for yourself!

Astounding unique, and refreshing Built to Belong is the only self help book you need to be reading right now. This book has the potential to do amazing things if only people will give it a chance.

Highly recommended. 4 out of 5 stars.

At first, I would like to thank Netgalley and Worthy Publishing for allowing me to review this book. Keep in mind that my review, however, is my true opinion on this book.

“Built to Belong - Discovering the Power of Community Over Competition” by Natalie Franke is one of the better self-help books. This book will give you new life, refresh your mind, and give you peace from the daily worries.

By reading this book, you will feel inspired to seek other people and to seek your community. You will want to talk to other people and get to know them. You will want to help other people and see them succeed. And you will help people who might feel lonely.

Connecting with other people is more important now than ever. We simply need others to succeed ourselves. We need others to feel loved. And we need our community to find peace.

Natalie Frankie does an incredible job of unfolding this topic in her book. Using herself in the book and by giving examples from her own life surely makes a difference. Natalie Frankie makes a difference to other people -and you can do the same thing! That is probably the most important note from this book.

I absolutely love the colourful cover. It is so cute! I love the diversity. And I love the importance of this book! This is indeed a beautiful and lovely book.

Sometimes we just need a friendly reminder to make us aware of our daily lives. And that is what this book brings to the table! We are built to belong, and we all need to live by that belief! So choose community over competition!
