I love this for counseling and adult relationships. Walks through the spectrum of sex and addictions and how they work together for yourself, others, and your relationships.

Well written with good character development but very predictable to me. I just couldn’t get into it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

WOW! Kerry Cohen is one of my favorite authors/psychologists/thought leaders and I delight in every book she writes. This one did not dissapoint.

Crazy for You details the realities of love and sex addictions. These are incredibly controversial "addictions" in the medical community and so far have not been officially added to the DSM. However, the way Cohen presents a framework for these addictions is different than other models and changed my perspective on the subject completely, as someone who went in not believing sex and love addictions were legitimate.

As someone with BPD, I fall into what she calls the sex and love addiction (SLA) spectrum, as many of my urges exist around sexual and romantic relationship-seeking. I understood how my validation and attention-seeking behaviors were actually part of a larger addiction to love.

This is a must-read and will give you incredible insight into SLA, no matter where on the spectrum you may fall
