American Revolutionary War, cavalry, biography*****

As a former Molly in the Commander-in-Chief's Guards, I really enjoyed reading this well researched but not pedantic biography of this man and the role of the cavalry in the 18th century. I had no idea that reconnaissance was an important function of the cavalry! It was interesting to learn about the man himself as well as how he fit into the scheme of Washington's army. Didn't know that his father was a friend of Washington or that he was the father of Robert E. I painlessly learned a lot.
I requested and received a temporary digital ARC of this book from Sapere Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

An outstanding novel on one of the heroes of the American Revolutionary War. It was truly inspirational and full of action. This book definitely helped me to learn more of the men who fought for our freedom from England. A must read for history enthusiasts.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
