DNF 30%

I tried to like this book, but it didn't work for me. I could even finish this story but I feel that if I give it 3 stars is was going to be too much so I decided to DNF this book and not waste my time with it.
Some of the things that didn't make me like this book: The protagonist, actually she was the main one, I didn't like her, I found her very irritating, being in her head stressed me out, I think the author tried to make her real and ended up just making her insufferable.
I thought she thinks she's too much of herself, she thinks she's the center of the universe, nothing is good enough for her and she complains too much, I think the author tried to make her look ambitious but it only made her so irritating that you roll your eyes all the time while reading.
Another thing I didn't like about this book was the fact that our protagonist has a boyfriend at the beginning of the story but we know they won't be together because at the beginning another boy is introduced in the story so that the author can write her enemies to lovers, like why make the girl have a boyfriend?
Just to make things difficult and have unnecessary drama I knew since the beginning that it didn't matter how the author dealt with the romance I wouldn't like it.
Finally, what I didn't like as well as the clichés that the author knows is clichés because she says in the story but uses them anyway (mean girl trope, enemies to lovers, small-town summer job, ex mean girlfriend, competition between girls, superficial girly girls, love triangle) among others.
So I don't recommend this book, I feel like there are other good summer contemporaries to read.

I’m not typically a fan of first person point of view novels but i was willing to look past it for this incredible story. All of the characters were so complex and there was not a second of this i did not enjoy.
If I had to choose though my favourite part of this was Juniper and Leanne’s romance it was so well developed and thought out.

This was an easy, breezy read that was very predictable and often had me skim reading for this reason. I found Tahira was not a likeable character often and struggled to connect with her. The influencer angle was a little cringe at times as well. I was definitely hoping for more with this book and was a little let down.

Tahira in Bloom by Farah Heron is such a great, wonderful story!

This was such a great read.
Witty, fun, sweet in such amazing ways!
This book is beautifully written and entertaining.
A feel good story packed with humor, friendship and dreaming big dream!
The characters are kind, vibrant, supportive, and eccentric.
Brilliantly portrayed, fleshed out and real
And the plot is a push-pull tale of responsibility, tender moments, goals, expectations, friendship, chemistry, honesty, and love.
I adored everything here and can't thank yall.enough for the opportunity to read this amazing book!

As someone who graduated I with a degree in fashion as well as works in the industry I had a huge interest in reading the book. I loved how Tahiras journey from thinking she was getting this fashion internship and then having to pivot and change course helped shape her and grow and experience love and knew opportunities.
Such a great read! Really enjoyed this one and will be recommending it!

This was such a beautiful book! As someone who loves fashion and had for many years as well as my daughter who majored in fashion this was a must read! I love how T-shirt finds her way through when her internship doesn’t work out as planned. It is a great book to ehoe that sometimes are well laid plans don’t always work out, but something sweeter is just around the corner.
